This is so awesome. Metroid Zero Mission is one of my favourite games in the series, and the potential for a great hack is immense. Theres just so much in the game to use! I'm just a bit curious as to how the 'zero suit samus' part near the end will be edited (with the space pirate patrol zones etc). | |||

Sony just keep owning themselves, dont they?
Not that I was ever going to get a PS3 anyway - Wii for me. And also, surely this is Australia too? I mean, they're a PAL country. (edited by richyawyingtmv on 09-06-06 09:15 AM) |

And the same goes for nearly all my mates (and the ones who were getting it are now getting a wii instead because of the release delay). The wii has games that I'm looking forward to, and looks to be an exciting console to me. The PS3 however...doesnt. Simple as that. |

Well, I dont know much (nothing at all really) about NDS formats...but arent the games files arranged in seperate folders anyhow?
Surely it'd be incredibly easy to isolate the music files, and extract them. I wouldnt be suprised if a plugin for Winamp is released soon. (If I had enough knowledge of the format, I would even attempt it myself. But I dont. ) (edited by richyawyingtmv on 09-06-06 01:14 PM) |

Well, that was the most pointless spam I've seen in a while ('Pokemon').
It wasnt even anything damaging, and can be deleted by a mod with just one click. Yeah. Time to add one more kill to the list of idiots. |

I had an interesting drug and alcohol fueled night last night.
Never mix vodka, salsa dips and acid, people. I still need to get all the salsa off the ceiling and somehow out from behind my TV screen (it's actually inside it). And my girlfriend apparently has most of last night on camera. Oh shit. |

I've been searching for a while, but I can only find shareware ones. And I'd rather not have it shut down after encoding 40 seconds of a track. I would just do what I used to do and encode each wav file seperately, but I'd rather not. Takes too much time.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks. (edited by richyawyingtmv on 09-10-06 02:50 PM) |

Originally posted by Darkdata Thanks, but I was using audacity before anyway. What I mean by drag and drop, is to drag about 10 or so mp3 files from a folder into the program, and have them all encoded one after another - saves the unnessecary time of doing each one seperately. I'll have a look at winLAME. edit - winLAME has batch processsing. I'm pretty sure thats what I want, thanks. (edited by richyawyingtmv on 09-10-06 03:10 PM) |

I remember I was pretty shocked when I found out...
...unlike the rest of my class, who found it amazing and 'cool' that world war 3 seemed to be imminent. I remember half my class being detained after an RE lesson for drawing some rather questionable cartoons of what happened on 9/11. But yeah. We were young back then. And I still remember how shocked I was when we saw the second plane fly into the tower live on TV. Although it was pretty hard to convince my younger brother that it wasn't a film. |

Originally posted by Bane King Yeah, definately. I mean, back then most of the people I knew didn't actually feel what many people in the US did - simply because the feeling of loss was not there for them. (And the fact that we were around 12/13 back then) At that time, while I did see it as being something significant, I did not fully realise just how bad it was until a year or so later. |

Top Gear is without a doubt the greatest show on TV for the past decade.
And yeah, my girlfriend once served Jeremy, James and Rich at the pub she works as a waitress at. Apparently Richard is the nicest of the 3, and gave her a good tip. Poor bloke. |

He's now in a stable condition according to the latest BBC report from the hospital.
Looks like things may turn out well afterall. When he gets back onto Top Gear, they'll probably all laugh and joke about it on the show, and then do more crazy test drives- it's just something you expect from them. |

Originally posted by Salmon Apparently so - he's been moved into a seperate ward now, and his situation is no longer critical. Jeremy Clarkson recently said that he had visted Hammond in hospital and criticised his driving skills - the unconcious Hammond then smiled. So hopefully, he'll be fine...no brain damage hopefully. |

I work with the HM music editor a lot.
Basically, if I want to write music for it (or import music from another game using the notes from an MIDI file), I just open up FL Studio and write down all the seperate note lengths (and what notes and octave they are) for each line of notes. For example; Note length: 0A Note: F4 Note length: 20 Note: B3 And so on. I then simply enter in all the information into the HM music editor, and then mess around with the tempo/instruments used etc. It's incredibly simple, really. Just takes a bit of time. The Wave editor in HM allows you to change the instrument samples. To do this, open up a sound sample (it must be in the correct format) using, for example Microsoft Wave Editor, and then press copy and then paste it into the HM editor. There is a restriction to how much room is taken up by samples, however (make sure it's under a second long, 0.70 is what I stick to) and you have to set loop points at EXACT places. Each sample also has to be of equal pitch (for example, each sample tuned to the root of C), otherwise the music will end up sounding disjointed and out of tune. So I wouldnt really mess with the sample editor unless you know exactly what you are doing. Just stick to the music editor. I had this when it first came out, but then unfortunately lost it.
It is a truely awesome editor. Now only if I had some actual track designing skill... |

Definately interested in this. Looks pretty awesome.
I'll most likely spend most of my time messing with the music editor however. |
