I've had some experience with Hyrule Magic's music editor, and it is one piece of work, totally messing up your ROM as you save your songs and stuff.

Let us hope that someone out there is working on figuring out the music format for Zelda 3, or at least figuring out tricks for changing it, eh MON?

I also intend to implement this in SMB3, but it will take a lot of work as I'll need to put in a lot of if-then statements for dealing with the SNES version (though I may have a better idea up my sleeve) and will definitely need new functions to load the SNES graphics instead of the NES ones. Give me a bit please. |

They're not blocked by stages, however. As for the table you're referring to, I found the table for what co-ordinates the world airship will land on. That itself was important, becaues people were having problems with the airship landing on inaccessible tiles.

Too much polarization! (My guess is that the majority of people in this thread took their positions on this matter before they began to look at evidence, but then again you never know.) Yes, humans are having an effect, duh! How much of an effect humans are having however is difficult to quantify and there is much uncertainty about it. There is also uncertainty about the future.

There are models predicting, as Snow Tomato said, a sharp warm-up, but the models can only use so many factors; the problem is that we don't know all the factors involved in this--we could very well set off some sort of balancing mechanism that plunges us into an ice age! There's also an interesting study on methane that was trapped in long-frozen ice being released into the atmosphere from the ice melting, causing a rapid increase of the amount of methane in the atmosphere rapidly warming the planet. They said that was what caused the earth to heat up quite a bit around 200 million years ago or so. I would take that with a grain of salt, as around that time there was a single landmass away from the polar regions called Pangaea, which made it very difficult to accumulate glaciers. Today, in the Northern Hemisphere at least, there is a lot of land up in the polar regions connected right down to the temperate zones. The fact that global warming is increasing snowfall in the polar regions (there is such a thing as being too cold for snow!) is interesting and that may itself be a balancing mechanism against warming. Of course, obviously, there's the Gulf Stream possibly shutting off. I've heard many talk about volcanoes causing global warming through ocean warming from underwater volcanoes and the aboveground volcanoes belching CO2 into the atmosphere. This explanation is interesting, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of proof on it. The proponents of this (such as the guy at http://www.iceagenow.com/) often rely on anecdotal evidence of volcano eruptions and discoveries, which isn't really proof. It seems that they treat every new volcano discovery as evidence that vulcanism is increasing, but that's total BS as discovering new volcanoes doesn't mean that the number of volcanoes is increasing, but only our knowledge. About islands, there are urban heat centers that must be taken into account and also heating seems more pronounced in the arctic and antarctic regions (which is interesting, as it implies a more chaotic mixture of hot and cold  ).

I tend to agree with geogree and Skydude on this one. I'm suspicious of any government attempts to use its forums to push a certain point of view on a moral or social issue. Call me a nutty libertarian, but I don't think it's right for the government to do this with their school system. (Of course, I don't think there should be a school system period, but that's just neither here nor there.) |

OK, Bill was horrible, Bush is horrible. They're all horrible. They all need to get impeached. The only bad thing about Bill's impeachment was that he didn't get thrown out and the worst thing about Bush is that he hasn't been impeached and thrown out yet. They all need to get shaken up and everything. |
