I really can't wait for the editor. The first thing I'm gonna do is make BOB a lava level... But how the HECK do I program lava? ASM? I wonder in a later relese you can edit the polygonal stuff using the uber editor.

I love the play as char codes. Outside, that is. Goomba and Shyguy work very well. Yoshi is very fun, I'm suggesting to myself if we can edit it so the polygona places or the arms and stuff are like yoshi at the top, we could play as yoshi no problem. But we would need to implant the yoshi into every level X_X

DO NOT POST UNLESS YOU HAVE A BACKGROUND WITH HEX!

I'm a newbie at hacking, but am a quick learner, I'd like do do like move a bob-omb by using the hacking docs but.... Really, I can't find the hex code of where it is and I don't know what the (numbers)x233 mean

To learn how to use the values after 24 18, you have to find a command for a object you know where to find in the game. The flying cap switch at the wing cap level is easy to find. Just search for the wing cap level start offset (004C2700) and the first you'll see is 24 18 which at this place is the wing cap switch. Now try experimenting on the values after the 24 18.
I did this earlier to day, and by mixing on the last values in the command which sets the behavior code, I manage to make the switch very big!! The game crashed if I came near it though.

EDIT: Tried to corrupt some 24 18 commands on Bob-omb Battlefield, and it proved out that only things like the gate behind chain chomp, the bridge and other stuff like that disappeared. So..it seems like the enemys are placed with another command.

I never knew that! Thanks. Like I said I was a complete newbie, and I can hack a bit... I made it say Super Lugi 64 once! XD

Slightly off-topic: I had a dream where this topic was edited by staff to make it spammy.

On-topic: I have yet to discover what I can edit... I have used Jen's cannonball hex edit (I edited it, not the ips patch) I'm gonna try to see if I can change the gate to a coin.
Heres a kid-friendy list on what you can change and stuffs

At offset 405A60.
24 18 1F 36 05 B0 03 00 01 BE 00 00 01 46 00 00 00 00 00 13 00 48 68
Chain Chomp Gate

[24 18] [??] [??] [?? ??] [?? ??] [?? ??]

(24 18 - This is the start of "place object command)
(?? - Chooses mission(s) that the object will appear in)
(?? - Chooses mesh/texture, not so sure yet.)
(?? ?? - X position) CHANGE TO MOVE OBJECT
(?? ?? - Y position, wich is the height) CHANGE TO MOVE OBJECT
(?? ?? - Z position) CHANGE TO MOVE OBJECT

EDIT:I don't think it'll be easy to change anything into a coin, or vice versa. I think both coins and regular enemys (like goombas and bob-ombs) are stored in mio0 files and placed with another command. The sm64 hacking document doesn't include any information about the commands inside the mio0 files.

Hmmm... Maybe, but I dead don't know mio0. X_X Anyways, I'm gonna find out where all the items are. And what they are.

Hello. Im Cyhunt, and I'd like to have acsess to the Pokemon and The SMW forums. I'm only 11 years old, so if I act childish, I'm sorry. I've been on some other forums and I havn't gotten banned (well not that I remember) I am a newbie at hacking and all, so I may ask lots of questions. I really like this forum, and I hope to stay forever! Thanks for listening.
Edit: Oh yeah, Even though I'm still a kid, I handle adult stuff very easly. Lets just say I've seen too much.

Posted on 11-03-06 02:57 PM, in Cheap Ways to kill enemys with Kirby SSBM Link
I found this out yesterday. This trick I tryed with Bowser.

To kill (most, its hard, maybe impossible to do with Yoshi) anyone with kirby, and not get hurt, Use Kirby's B move by an edge and suck up the enemy. Now, face the edge and be almost right next to the ledge, and quickly mash A until the enemy comes out as a star. As He/she trys to recover, suck him/her again and repeat until their damage is around 300. Then use Kirby's B + Forward Move, Hammer, while they recover and are kinda near the edge. They should be killed.

Yes. Bowser killed by Kirby with no copy abilitys. Well, yeah, its possible, but this is they easyest and cheapest. Its so cheap, you'd propably get the Stale Moves loss. I tryed this out in training, with the CPU set as attack.

Yoshi is harder to do this with, as when you spit him out right by the edge, he'll grab it before you can suck him up, and kick you as he gets up. So for killing him cheap with Kirby, I use the down + B move, Stone and Hammer. And to mix it up I use Kirby's down arial move. Then when they Fly off the screen I taunt until they come back. The first trick might not work as well against humans. Tell me if you find other charicters that this trick doesn't work with. (the first trick with Bowser)
Also report any spelling/grammar mistakes, ok? I tryed these tricks on pokemon statium. Yes, It works against Jigglypuff.

Edit: If this is in the wrong thread, tell me. I post it where it should be then.
Edit: Oops. posted in the wrong place. Could someone close this?

I hope I can use that same trick in SSBB. And I hope G&W is in there. I don't know why I want him in, but I like his wierd movments. I don't know why, as I said.
