The two opcodes in bold are your problem. A9 is LDA Immediate, which loads A with the value #$1466, rather than the value stored at address $1466. 89 is...uh...BIT Immediate, which still confuses and infuriates me to this day (don't use it ). Change 'em to AD (LDA Absolute) and 8D (STA Absolute) and everything should work fine.
Also, why would you want to use a block to control scrolling? Wouldn't you have to be touching it at all times, or does it set some auto-scroll bit I'm unaware of? (edited by BMF54123 on 12-11-05 05:53 AM) (restricted) |

This thread is 17 varieties of suck, and shall be closed. We don't need this crap in here.

mariofan05, I recommend you limit yourself to the other ROM Hacking forums until your skills have improved. (restricted) |

Hey, congrats, Cy! A good friend of mine is currently enrolled at DigiPen. In fact, I'm posting this from his computer right now. I'll be sure to warn him about you. |
Seattle is friggin' awesome. We went to this relatively new shop in the International District called Pink Godzilla, which is dedicated entirely to retrogaming and Japanese imports. They have THREE DRAWERS FULL of boxed Famicom games, and all sorts of super-rare and/or obscure hardware, including a Panasonic Q GameCube and a Twin Famicom. I would have stayed there all day if I had the time. ![]() (restricted) |

You fail on levels I never thought possible. Please stab yourself in the eye with a rusty icepick. |

Okay, so...you have somehow implemented a level that requires you to collect 8 red coins in 60 seconds, and rewards you with a suit, one of which is totally new, yet you can't even edit Mario?

I believe the copyright used to say "TM AND ©". That's really the only place it could fit. |

The old thread.

Too bad none of the image links work anymore...that was pure hilarity right there.
[edit] Hey, I guess there are a few images left. Go to page 4 for pure hilarity. ![]() (edited by BMF54123 on 12-19-05 02:58 AM) (restricted) |

I feel crummy pretty much 24/7. Really tired, get sore easily, can barely focus on anything that requires some degree of mental stimulation, and generally spaced-out all the time--like I'm living in a dream. I also have these odd, intermittent hiccups (not so much a "hiccup" as a sudden twinge in my chest that makes me gasp) that seem to come and go in no discernible pattern. I've been getting frequent nosebleeds over the past few months, but only from the left nostril, and they stop as quickly as they start. I can barely smell or taste anything, and my nose is stuffy from the moment I get up to the moment I go to bed. I've racked up more medical bills than I care to count, and nothing's ever been found. As a result, I'm constantly depressed and strung higher than a kite in a hurricane. (I win. )
Hopefully it's all stress-related, and will stop when I finally quit my job and start going to school... (edited by BMF54123 on 12-19-05 05:01 AM) (restricted) | (restricted) |

I've wanted to do this for a long time as well. I'm probably going to dissect some routines pretty soon and try to figure it out myself... |
