It actually is pretty scratched. But that was only recently. It could be what happens to every good game system over time. It starts to die... I think thats the problem.

I don't know what you're talking about, my genesis, snes, and NES run just fine.

My NES and Genesis broke years ago an I treated them like gods. but the SNES I can believe still works.

VL mentioned something about camera controls. I don't remember him talking about that but anyway, could we make the camera stay in a position that makes mario move only left and right. If you don't understand this think of 2D mario games, Left and right. If you haven't gotten it by now I'm considering the un-original idea of remaking SMB with the SM64 engine.

It was the XBOX halo disk I saw it and trust me these guys are smart they can do anything. But maybe your right about the pc case thing. I never got to see it run windows. The guys who have the Xbox and PS2 computer are gone on some trip in Europe so I can't get to them. But the back up guy agreed to help me. the only problem is he can only look at it once a week. so it will be a long time until we can ge some results.

I prefer cygnus and gold finger. But gold finger is much easier to use than cygnus. Gold finger is a good choice for someone who is new to hex editing.

Oh shut up! just cause your now a micro goomba dosen't give you the ability to pownd newbs. And they also have the right to, it is a thread for SM64 hacks and a retexture is a hack so lay off. If I can get mine to look better I might just post mine too.

If ajastal PM's me i'll give him a site. Hopefully that's allowed. And everyone I'm sorry but I mean't to put "let's get back on topic now" after my post mocking Igod (sorry) but from now on Let's all agree not to mock or flame Newbs. I know it will be hard but we can do it and it will make this thread a better place.

I already have the rom and emulator (and the cartridge, just for legal purposes). I hack SNes games, GBA games, and NDS games. Now I want to try n64. I am a friend of ajstal8. One question; do I need to run lunar expand on my rom? (I have .v64, not .z64 just to let you know).

Things you might want-
SM64 rom extender.(allows the rom to be hacked)

SM64 Text Wrangler.(allows you to alter SM64 text)

Hex editor. (Gold finger is good)

Hex edit document.(found not to far back in this thread)

Tile molester.(Only working tile editor. No including rice's plugin)

Gogle is good for all of these except for the hex edit document. that would be found in one of the previous parts of the thread.

Google for Esreal's editor, SonED, or SonED 2.

I can't give a site that I know has them because it has roms on it so if you PM me I'll give you the site. It makes me feel so good to see that sonic 2 is still popular to hack. I remember I started out with that game when I found out about rom hacking but I never made anything good.

Happy hacking,

Well... the guy came... he saw what I wanted... we talked... He showed me how long it would take, how much it would cost, and how impossible it was... I fainted... We played SSBM... He went home leaving me a little pissed... but thats what you get for having crazy dreams... I wonder what I was thinking when I said I would look into make a GCN disk drive. All the reasons why it was impossible were painfully obvious. Well at least I can see how the other guys (the ones now vacationing somewhere in Europe) made theirs when they get back... *SIGH*

I went to test the theory about the object of death in the pit and the ability to fall into the pond. I used the levitation GS code and I got on the island in the center of the lake. I floated up and died the same way you die in the pit. so it is possible to fall through to the pond but you will die because you suffer fall damage when you land on the island. Hopefully a later release of TT64 will let us move the island.

If you use rices plugin and dump the textures in BBF there is a goomba face. just alter it and put it in the hi texture file... read back in this thread on how to do it. and there also is a texture pack thread that has some good instructions. this does not permanently alter the game but in a way patches it.

I really don't like it much. I think that Tile Molester is much better. rice's plugin dosen't work that well with my graphics card anyway.

I'm sorry but being a sonic fan I just had to do it... here is my poor attempt at green hill zone.

Enjoy! (or just spit at your monitor...)

Did you get this idea form Game faqs? I'm not a member of there board but when I did a google search I came up with a snippet of the topic saying something about orbit have different colored walls. I clicked on it but it couldn't find the thread it was in. thats all I could find out about orbit. and also If it dosen't exist, you can't hack it. Chances are there is no orbit and if there was, one of the guys around here would have probably found it by now.

will the movie be narrorated by VL or just showing him using it. Either way is good, but if he narrorated it we could understand exactly what he is doing.

P.S. no spamfests just cause it's the 64'th page. Kay?

The Movie Tutorial I'm making as we speak is going to be both Narrated, Subtitled, and will show amovie demonstration step-by-step.
Since the current voice actor was unable, I'm looking for a new one now..

WOW! thats exactly what I wanted. this is gonna be great! This should also clear up a lot of the noobish questions (and possibly most of our serious questions).
