I had to deal with the worst leetspeak ever on Vallon Zek (so it's probably also as bad Mannoroth on wow, though I didn't follow the EQ guilds over to WoW so I dunno.) "hy~ yu wnt asrm? sfut fef, tks yu^^"

...ugh. That kind o' crap gets old really quickly. I'm glad I don't play online games anymore.

The slang people used to use on Gunbound was pretty horrible too. I swear to god if I see someone type "liddat" ever again I'm going to have a stroke.

Spirits Within was not only unsuccessful, it set the notion of CG being mainstream back by several years. People expected big things from it and were sorely dissappointed.

Apparently "liddat" is slang for a phrase that was already slang. Genius, no?

It's short for "like dat?" and was used when someone pwnd someone else.

Well... what can you do? You can be there if she needs you, but I'm thinking that's about the extent of it. She's dating the guy by choice, so the only thing you can do there is keep your mouth shut unless you wanna come off as an ass.
As far as the bulimia goes, the only thing you can really do is keep an eye out for abnormal behaviors and know what to look for. With people paying attention she's a lot less likely to purge and probably wouldn't binge as badly. I would probably get away with a lot less if more than a tiny handful of people knew that I'm bulimic.

So for both of those issues you can keep your eyes open and you can be there if she needs you. Other than that your help might not be needed or even wanted. Nothing garners resentment faster than unwanted help. So just be cool about it.

Yeah, it's a bad idea to leave Norfair without the wave beam. Go back and grab it. I'd give you a hint as to where it is but I've forgotten. I don't remember it being too hard to find though.

I don't gamble. I'd just rather go to the store and blow my money on something. At least I'm guaranteed something in return that way. The most I ever gamble is a few dollars here and there with friends on poker night or maaaaaaaaybe blackjack if a $5 table is open at one of the boats. Normally I just go to the boats to drink the free drinks and watch my friends lose too much money.

I agree about the mill wheel mainly because it would have been completely impossible for them to fight for that long on something rolling that fast. I'm doubting that backpedaling/running in time to stay on top of a rollong wheel/log/barrel while fighting was included in thier training.

And how much time elapsed between the two movies? I wish I could become a badass within a few months like Elizabeth did =P

But I still enjoyed the movie quite a bit.

A tool to remove keys!?!?!?

You mean a knife, right? Or a pen or pliers?
Unless this is a laptop or some crazy specialty keyboard, please tell me you didn't pay someone for a tool to pry keys off.

My spacebar pries off just like any of the other keys, though it's harder because it's on multiple posts. try putting a knife blade under both ends and prying up at the same time.

Meh. I wanted to find it myself, but I'm having trouble. I have all of the statues activated except for one in Norfair. I know it's not Sector 3 (under lava near the beginning of Ridley's lair,) but I'm not sure which of the other two it is. It's not the one you need the wave beam to get.

Any help guys?

While "misguider" could technically be a word, I also would not have it in my dictionary. There are plenty of words that are more correct that mean the same thing, ie. "deciever" or "misleader" or whatnot.

Thanks, it was the Sector 1 statue under the lava. Even with your hint I still had a hell of a time finding it.

I just paused my movie because I'm a little bit tipsy and couldn't stop myself from making a thread. I'm sure I'm not the only MSTie on Acmlm's. I'm currently watching Master Ninja II from season 3. Woot for torrents.

What's your favorite episode?

And What's your favorite Joel/Mike and the bots segment?

What movie do you wish had gotten the MST treatment?

I'd post a link for a good MST3K torrent site but that would probably be against the rules. PM me or google it if you're interested.

*edit* Warsteiner is pretty good, I may buy it for a while instead of Cerveza Sol and Newcastle Brown...
*edit 2* Apparently I can't spell. Or use the preview post button.

Why was the broom in the trash can instead of OUTSIDE?

And I'm having a hard time believing that a can of Raid would be very effective against spiders as most of them are highly resistant to conventional poisons. But I suppose that spiderlings are easier to kill.

What are those spiders that carry thier spiderlings on thier back? Is that a wolf spider? I forget. I sprayed one down one night instead of stomping because I didn't want hundreds of little spiders all over the place. Covered her completely in toxic foam. Poison + suffocation. The little ones died, but about an hour later I watched her uncurl and start to walk away. I shuddered, wanted to cry, and stomped her into the carpet.

Any Acmlmers going to SDCC this year? I'm hoping I can find someone to pick up one of the convention exclusive action figures for me. I'd rather not have to pay eBay scalper prices. If you can help a brotha out, lemme know!

If he was in the driver's seat it's a dui even if the keys are not in the ignition. He might get a judge who's not an asshat and get off on that one, but he might not. I have a friend who got arrested for the same thing, and the last gig I played I got so smashed (because it was my last show) that I slept in the car and was told to be in the back or passenger's seat by a cop.

Pretty shitty if you ask me. I hope your pops doesn't do time. And I hope he pulls himself together. I lost the girl I thought I was gonna marry, and I'm not the most psychologically sound person in the world by any means, but I know that self destruction is not the answer. As far as alcohol/drugs go, I hate feeling really drunk or high or hungover so I could never keep that sort of thing up.

You and your dad should definately go to the District Attorney's office before your dad's court date and see what you can work out. Trust me on that. My dad's a DA. They're not usually heartless bastards. If you can convince them that he deserves a break they will probably give him one.

I can't stress that last paragraph enough.

I'm not sure how it works everywhere, but where I live anyone who hits someone from behind is automatically at fault, regardless of what anyone claims the situation to have been. I could get on the highway, change lanes in front of someone, hit the brakes, and they'd be legally at fault because they rear-ended me.

Yeah, it could be abused like I described above, but it probably far more often protects the interests of honest drivers.
