I agree. Of all the natural forces, wind has ever been my enemy. Of course, I don't have a lot of hair for it to mess up anymore, so I hate it slightly less.

Peanut butter milkshake:

A few big spoonfuls of peanut butter (or a little bit, if that's what suits you,) Several big hunks of vanilla ice cream (I go Blue Belle Homemade Vanilla,) just enough milk so that the mixture will blend/pour - you might have to experiment with this. Blend. Drink. Yum.

What makes me happy tonight? The guest lecturer we had tonight for Environmental Law was REALLY good. I enjoyed the lecture.

I had to drive to the next city and back after class because a friend left her biology book in my truck... but I came home with a pizza and a pint bottle of Grolsch lager.

I'm going down to see my sis and niece for the first Mardi Gras parades this weekend.

I agree that difference in age isn't an issue. But the high school/college barrier can be.

*edit* Especially when you can't go out a lot of places together and have to sneak visits because her parents are pretty sure there's something going on and hate you for it.

Yes, strawberry milk does indeed rock the universe. But only if it's the powdered kind. I don't like the strawberry syrup as much... or maybe it's the other way around. I don't remember.

My ex g/f and I were friends before we dated. We have amazing chemistry and if not for the age difference and my general laziness we'd probably still be together.

How did we handle it? Wow. We talked for a while, I tried to salvage it.
We didn't talk, started keeping secrets.
We talked again. Bullshit occurred.
We fought. Every day. For weeks. I hated her fucking guts (because I still loved her and she hurt and betrayed me.)

I didn't talk to her for forever after that.

Finally we were on speaking terms again but it was tentative. It took a long time before we were ok with each other. It took even longer to be comfortable.

Now... We talk pretty often and can talk about anything again. We have fun when we hang out, the hugs are nice, we're really ok.

It was a really rough road getting there, though. I hope you do a much better job of it than we did.

*Kasdarack stays off topic.

I cleaned a tiny bit this afternoon so I could get to the inside of my desktop and put the lappy on the desk.

AFTER:

I've been going through my cds and ripping them to the new hard drive. The ones on the floor are there so I'll know they've already been done.

And I need to do laundry badly.

Obviously this cleaning is very much a WIP.

I dunno how I let it get this bad. I hate living in a dirty room. Just had a lot of stuff pulled out or that I'm working with lately. Bleh.

Sorry about all the pics. I felt a photo documentary was necessary.

On a related note, I have cold hands/feet. Less than optimal circulation.

Using a mouse or controller after someone and feeling their body heat is gross and makes life bad

I'm having to do things with the command line and having trouble.
And ubuntu recognizes my wireless card but I still can't get networking to work. I'm having to learn how all the command line crap works...

I realize it's not a copy of DOS... but hell... if someone's gonna make a beginner distro why not at least make some of the command names the same as the more universally familliar DOS command names? they could leave the unix commands in there too, so both rm and del would work to get rid of files. Makes sense to me.

Linux may be a good alternative to Vista for the experienced, but will ALWAYS have too difficult a learning curve for the average computer user, no matter how well they make GUI's for everything.

Also, I can't mount my fat32/ntfs drives under ubuntu because the menu that the documentation says to use ISN'T EVEN THERE.

Open source is great for programs, but I predict it'll never work for an everyman's OS because there's not enough standardization.

*EDIT* Also, DOS 6.22 = NOT STUPID. DOS rocked.
Linux = confusing. And most linux users I know tend to be elitist and snobby about it.

Yeah, I wore mine for about 8 hours straight at the Texas Ren-fest this last year (I finished it the night before.) I'd have been in lots of pain driving back home the next day if I hadn't gone out there with a friend in chiropractic school. I NEEDED the adjustment did afterward.

The first thing I did when I walked through the gates was buy a big thick-ass leather belt, which I then cinched tightly around the shirt. I pulled up a bit on the maille so some of the weight rested on the belt and not my shoulders.

It's Ray Romano holding my teddy bear. Like Bounder said, there was a Saturday Night Live skit where he was a sportscaster and his catch phrase was, "SWEET SASSY MOLASSY!!" (in case you didn't feel like watching the video)
I thought it was clever =P

Plus I decided that if Kasumi has the monopoly on Kas for short, I may as well be Kassy then, even though I usually hate it when my old net friends call me that =P
