My day was HORRIBLE too, Taryn. I woulda posted about it, but I was so drained that I went to bed at 6:30 instead.

It was general registration day at school. I've NEVER seen it like this before. We have about 8million displaced students this fall. Highest enrollment ever... by far. Yuck.

I haven't been in school since last winter so I had to re enroll. Before doing that I went to see a few advisors. My major program (geology) got dropped and is no longer able to be completed. I had to pick a new one, so I wanted to have a game plan before I dropped money to enroll.

So I sat down with a Dr. who reminded me of my ex g/f's dad. I said as much. He knows them. Apparently everyone says that. Anyway...

I chose environmental science because almost every single hour I have counts for the program and those that don't all fall under directed electives, so that's finished and I have a minor in geology. I went to enroll, which took ages even though I was alone in there. They have a gorgeous new building which I had to find Then I went to the registrar to make sure everything was ok. They said I was clear to register and had no holds. Groovy.

I went and got advised for real, and amazingly got exactly the classes I wanted and managed to have a three day week. Everything had at least 3 seats open. Cool. I went home to register (I was with my bro and he had been done for a while.) Can't register. Holds on my account. WTF?

I had to wait an hour because it turned 12 and all the offices closed for lunch. Afterward I drove BACK to school, chased people down, and went to get the hold removed. They sent me to pay a lab fee for a lab I didn't take last year. When I got there I was told they no longer take money there, that is done on main campus. asdgfrthgergsgasd. Luckily thier dept. head walked in right about then and came to my rescue. He just deleted the damn thing altogether. Woot. They were nice. I sat down on thier comp to register.

Wouldn't you know my classes were filled?

I then had to spend the next 3.5 hours waiting to see people and calling the office and figuring out how I was actually going to PAY for school. My anxiety kicked in really badly and I almost had a bad attack. I called my ex and she left class (she's currently in session at LSU) and I swear I wouldn't have lasted the day if she hadn't talked me trhough it.

I finally got seats added to my stats class and got into my biology and lab. The computer won't let me have soil science because it wants me to have taken the third chemistry first. Bah. I had soil stuff in geology classes, and chem as well. I had to run BACK to forestry to find the teacher, but he wasn't in. I'll have to get his sig. tomorrow I guess. Meanwhile I took a bs class to complete full time registration.

So it's 4:30. They close at 5. I went downstairs to pay (I had a check) and OMG. I've never seen anything like it here before. There were at least 75 people in queue for fee adjustment and whatnot. I lucked out and they didn't try to dick me with an express plan or meals this time, and nobody was paying in checks, so I breezed right through.

I then got online to pay the remaining balance on my card. Done. Right?

Wrong, the girl didn't key in my check payment before purge.

ZSADgasgq. But there was someone still up there, thankfully. I had my reciept so they had to fix my schedule.

Long day. I hate registration. Woulda been nice if I had still been enrolled and eligible for early reg.

I grew up on a semi farm in the Styx, and I know farmers.

But I think they should give it up. There's no room for the small-time farmer in America anymore. The kids can all get TOPS and have college paid for, so why choose a life of poverty instead?

Even AI like we can only dream of right now wouldn't replace human support. There would always be fundamental differences in the way humans and machines understand things. The very idea is absurd...

Unless you're working on your own doctorate research project, anything you can say in a report is a rewording of something someone has already said.

Yes, taking an article and rewording it is plagiarism... but when you're writing something you know about and have read a lot about, it's hard to avoid doing this at least to a small degree in places.

That's why I just always cite everything that isn't an inferred conclusion.

I got so drunk Tuesday morning before the sun came up that I couldn't even sit on the couch to watch Pitch Black without falling off.

I was drinking Fresca and Baccardi Gold =P Yeah, I was out of diet root beer and didn't feel like finishing of my jagers.

I've decided I've been drinking too much lately. I go out a lot and hang with friends and drink an assload of beer and smoke cloves/weed. Or I stay at home and watch movies and play nintendo with my friend and drink rum or jager.

So I've given it up for a while. I had a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Wednesday, but I didn't drink when I got home. I'm gonna stick to being clean for a while.

*edit* I drank tons of water Tuesday but still managed to have a migraine hangover and a stomach ache all fucking day and night. Yuck.

Well, no one in my family really knows about it. I can tell people online because I don't have to worry about you thinking badly of me for it. My ex girlfriend knows, and she's good about calling me and making sure I'm okay when she gets the vibe that I'm not doing well. She saved me from having a nasty panic attack today. But she's an ex g/f and gone away to another school now so I don't really have anyone directly supporting me. I just try to go out and be with friends and be happy. The last month or so has been pretty ok.

Ingrown hairs are the worst. I get a combination of those and razor burn when I shave my chest and stomach. I've never shaved up front, I trimmed it once and thought it looked stupid. I sometimes shave my ass and between the legs though. That's usually bad because my butt will itch and get bumps and between the legs rubs together if I sweat.

Right now I haven't shaved anything but my head and cheeks since the beginning of August.

I'd like to try waxing my back and chest, but I'm sure it will hurt like a motherfucker.
A friend naired his chest once and it got all red and irritated for days. My skin is VERY sensitive so I'm not even gonna try that.

...why? The 360 is year old hardware now. Most people who wanted one have gotten it. There will be more hype for the Wii. As long as they don't botch the launch I can see them winning hands down this holiday season.

What I'd REALLY like to see is Working Designs making a sequel to Allundra that ISN'T Allundra 2. Seriously, that game wasn't even a loose sequel like Chrono Cross. And it sucked.

The first one was Playstation Gold, however.

I like lucid dreams. Normally mine aren't totally lucid. I don't control events or physics, only myself.

I used to always be angry when my parents woke me up for school because they'd interrupt a dream in which I was doing something really important.

Getting old sucks. Hangovers have become increasingly easy to come by. Sometimes I don't even have to drink to get one if I haven't had a lot of water in a day.

Having a hangover really plays hell with my fibromyalgia.

I stuck the fanfare straight from the FF7 OST on my phone using Motorola Mobile PhoneTools a few weeks ago and it's a big hit. A friend of mine kept calling me at the bar last week because he said hearing it play in public was like a victory for nerds

*edit* This actually sounds like it's ripped from the game fanfare rather than the movie, but whatever works
