| I used to have dreams around wake-up time where I would be on some sort of grand Indiana Jones like quest. I would always be this close to finsing what I was after. I never remembered what it was but had the overwhelming feeling upon waking that it was extremely important and was the key to some sort of real enlightenment in the waking world. My dad would always scream at me to wake up because he's a control freak (I'd always have about another 30 minutes before I needed to get up.) I hated my dad anyway so this always made me angry. Seriously, the feeling that this object in my dreams was vastly important in waking was overpowering.
My parents always wondered why I was so pissed off in the mornings. |

| Wow. Nice pauldron. Really nice.
Is that gauntlet made of foam? How pliable will it be when painted? I'm starting to get into making my own costume stuff. I've never cosplayed (never had an opportunity to go to con) but I have dressed up a bit for Ren Faires and the odd SCA event. I'm working on a Belmont (Castlevania) character at the moment in the event I get to go to a con in the near future. I have a bitchin steel cross that is cut from as10 tool steel (my brother used to make all the knives for a moulding company.) I have my chainmaille made and I'll use that as part of the costume. I was thinking on getting some more sheet aluminum and cutting out a pattern for pauldrons/spaulders and hammering them round. I don't think that should be too hard. Of course it wouldn't be colorful like yours, but it would be fairly durable for costume use and would be good practice for doing it in steel later. That will have to wait as my next project will be boiled leather armor for my legs. I really need to learn how to use a sewing machine so I can finish my tunic. I've had the linen measured and cut for a month 
My biggest problem is that I get overwhelmed because I get worked up and start too many projects at once. I'm the same way with my custom Transformers. I'm not sure how to break myself of that habit... (edited by Kasdarack on 07-13-06 11:00 PM) |

| I'll be going to the beach (yay Florida!) for a week on the 28th. I don't shave my chest anymore becaus eit's annoying... But now that I have a shaved head, shouldn't I do the chest to match?
I had it shaved when I went to Cyprus last summer. Nothing will ever beat the tan I got there. The Mediterranean spoiled me pretty badly, but I think I'll be able to enjoy the gulf fairly well... I just won't really swim much. Anyway... yeah. Shaved head. Tattoo on my stomach near the waistline. Belly button stud. Tan. Do these things require that I shave for the beach? |

| Anyone ever have a dream (or half dream state before you're totally asleep) where you're seeing yourself in third person and like your view pans out? When this happens I get a really strange feeling like vertigo. It also feels... like there's a tension in the air. I usually try to prolong this when it happens. | |||

| There's a pic of me in my maille in the phot album thread. It looks nothing like that now because I didn't like the 60 degree seams for the shoulders so I completely redid them. I currently have the sides unwoven because I'm making a few alterations. I'll post a good pic when I'm finished. I haven't boiled any of my leather yet because I haven't scrounged up anything the right size to stretch it over to dry. The patches I have are rather rough because I don't know how much they will shrink or if they'll shrink evenly. My plan was to just trim them to size and shape afterward. I've never done this before so we'll see. I'll post some pics even if they come out fugly.
The cross is cool looking, but will not polish. It's just too damned hard. I think I could get away with it at con because it's not even remotely edged... but I'm not positive that it wouldn't get taken away anyway. It's rather large and non-concealable. |

| The Wal-Mart in my city (it's a very small city) had over a million dollars in lost inventory from employee theft last year. I remember they caught one guy rolling new tires out of the automotive department after it had closed. he had enough in the back of his truck that they nailed him for grand theft. | |||

This usually happens when I have a degree of dream control where I don't affect the events or situations but I can analyze things here and there. | I love it when my friends and I are the only people at a movie. Unless I'm with a girlfriend (and therefore making out) I'm not too shy about talking since we have the theater to ourselves. It's always worked out that we've seen stupid or cheesy movies when this has happened and we always have a blast cracking on them. | |||

| Tonberries are tough in 6 if you're too low in level. I don't really even remember them from 7 or 8. I didn't get far in 9 because I didn't game much at the time. 10 and 10-2 are landfills of garbage. | |||
