Happy birthday... I've seen you around before. I'm sure I did.

(Every birthday, we take a step forward to death. How delightful)

It's actually not that hard to change Mario's hat's letter to anything you want, since it's a texture. Well, it would be easy with VL's texture list used in conjunction with Tile Molester. Otherwise, you'd be doing quite a bit of sifting through all those texture files.

Y'know, it'd be interesting to see a situation of deaths like in Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy. You'd die, and would be returned to the last point in which you saved, but would have half of your money taken, or to lose all items and money you've received from the last point you saved, but retain experience/levels. Respawning on the same map would just seem... Not that horrible. You could be more careless, and dying wouldn't be much of a tragedy. I'd say go with the Final Fantasy death path.

Other than that (and a few grammatical errors), this game looks great! I really look forward to playing it! Just one question... How long do you think the playtime in this game will be?

If sound doesn't count, I could run to the kitchen in about 4 seconds, and would take about another second to whip out the butcher knife. I have a tennis racket in my room, so I can use that as a pre-emptive strike to stun him, then I go for the knives. Since he'd be knocked out, I can run. Getting the racket would take less than half a second. I have some cords sticking around, the closest being a networking cord. I can also use that as a replacement for the racket. We have a knife taped to a stick for... Well, for in case of an emergency. That's in the hallway, so probably around 3 seconds. So... Yeah. Quite a few "weapons" at my disposal. Oh! Almost forgot! There's an x-acto knife 1 foot in front of me. That'll take like .01 seconds. So that might be helpful.

If all else fails, my bedroom window is weak enough to be broken with marbles. I have a huge dictionary which I use as a pad for papercraftting video game icons, so I could use that to destroy the window, go around to the garage, and take the bb-gun from it, and try to shoot his eyes. I have crappy aim, so I'll either morbidly miss, or shoot some other body parts. Heh. That'd be great.

"Excuse me officer, I have an intruder in my home who has been shot in the crotch."

[EDIT] How could I forget? I could also use our George Foreman grill, if I'm in the mood for some fun.

I assume he has no social life, or is really, really dependant on that forum. It's quite pathetic, really. And funny. But seriously. It's his fault for getting banned.

But whatever. It's probably acting, just like what FreeDOS said, or he just wants public attention. Either way, he needs some help. Maybe from Wilson...

If you spray him with TAG, chances are he'll go into an unstoppable laugh session, assuming you don't give him an overdose. It's happened at my school before; a couple of my friends came out of the locker room laughing without any reason why, except for inhaling TAG. Weird. But that gives you quite a bit of time to do whatever you want. You can write "RAPIST" on his cheek.

We seem to be forgetting something. What if he mastered karate? You'd be screwed.

Just found some bugs.

- When you press Select to go to the save menu, the timer still goes on, although the time in the status bar remains the same until you exit the menu.

- The same thing also goes for the item menu.

- During the exit/enter animation for buildings and such, the timer goes on.

- Time still passes by when you:
a. get a new item
b. read signs
c. talk to people.

-During the intro, when it rains, there's massive darkness outside. It's darker than it should be, since the intro's at night. So there's a night in the night, and a day in the night?

So... Uh... Yeah. That's it. Good job getting the time in there.

Spiky: The question's been asked already. Take a look at FreeDOS's post. He linked to a patcher there. Next time, try to search this thread a little... It'll do you some good when something like this arises.

Going into 9th grade. Freshman. Blah.

1. Woodshop
2. Gym
3. Biology (I got one of the teachers that everyone likes. WOO!)
4. World Geography
5. Algebra (I would've taken Algebra 2, but I got a crappy teacher last year. I need a review)
6. English (Was going to take honors. I highly regret it now.)

I'm going to take Spanish next year. A second language is a requirement. Along with 40 hours of community service.

I remember how frustrating it was, though. Since it's easy to beat, but hard to not get hit. ... Maybe it's because of my recklessness or my over-confidence. (Such as playing SMB. I try insane, leaps of faith. Most of the time... *Fail*) I think Milde was like a break of some sort; for the hard fortress.

I still remember those fond times... *30 stars. About to finish level* *HIT* "WAH! WAH! WAH!" Man. I wanted to kill Baby Mario so much.

Isn't Yoshi's Island the second Mario game to reward you for a 100% completion? (Well, not ALL of the game, but you know what I mean...) I know SMW was the first one...

Well, according to my sister's experience (she's in college. Forgot if she's in her sophomore or senior year), she took regular classes, and there were filled with asses. She took Honors next year, and there are either very few or no asses.

I was surprised when I got into Algebra last year, since I did an average or less than average job. However, most of the class was filled with idiots. Only a few people in there were my friends. (most of them got in Pre-Algebra, despite their skills at math match up or are better than mine.) I think they only took the STAR testing seriously... How else would they get into Algebra?

Apparently, in the regular English classes at the HS, most, or some, teachers read the book assigned to the class aloud, and everyone else would either read along, or (God forbid) listen. It was like that last year. We had spelling tests, and they were quite easy throughout the year. The only time when it was a bit challenging was when the words were replaced with Shakespeare vocabulary.

All in all, it seems like I should take Honors. I got recommended anyway, so whatever.

In a best 2 out of 3 battle, a plant would win. Assuming that electricity consumes the outlet...

Stupid nostalgia. Now I want to play Yoshi's Island again. *changes channel to 3, powers on SNES* It makes me happy that we have the original game.

There's a level in world 5 that you'll appreciate... Well, a small part of it, anyway. The rest is hell. Happy dying!

I personally find the SNES version easier, since you can be rougher to the controller, and the fact that it has more buttons.

Although the cave was unforgiving, I didn't find it as hard as Poochy ain't Stupid. That level + my Poochy manuevering skills = dead.

You know, I never actually managed to get 100 points in every level. It was always 1 or 2 levels in each world that would be at 99 or 98 points. I only got worlds 1 and 2 complete.

At least you managed it on the SNES. I've only done it on SNES, and I think I got 50 points. I died numerous times, though. The way I'd die is usually from impatience, usually by letting Poochy go so far off that he runs offscreen. I'm quite stubborn when it comes to things like this, so I slightly tweak it the strategy, to see what happens. This happens in most games I play, most notably in this game.

The sad thing is, that, even though I had 5 lives, I got a Game Over from that.

I'm gonna try Poochy Ain't Stupid again... I still have a save file with that level unlocked.

TWO hints. All new, never before seen.

1. Message box icon in toolbar.

2. File menu, or, if older version, Chelsea code.

Thank you for your time.

And no. Don't ask what the Chelsea code is. It's at SMWcentral. And, in Goldensunboy's words, "...there are tutorials out on how to do that, check SMWCentral, I'm pretty sure that if a tutorial can be found anywhere, it would be there. If not there, check the stickies in the SMW hacking forum, use Google, and search the board."
