I smell the aroma of a libertarian!

Anyway, I say bad (generally speaking, of course). Most of everyone's responses were something like " yes as long as they are mature enough" or something of that ilk. Well, generally speaking the extremly young are characteristically not well respected for their maturity, ergo, *fizzle*. Probably not a good idea unless the people involved are notabley exeptional in there judgement.

heh, heh.
well, the fusion dance is really more of a strange magic trick than a ki blast or something, so I'd guess just like the dragon never gives a monkey paw-like wish (always the best results, never a watch what you wish for thing), I'd guess the magic of the fusion dance would know what to do.

But I don't.

I was a huge freakin' fan of digimon. I liked it better than pokemon because of the weird backstory alluded to in Adventure 01 and 02. I even wrote down all I could gather about the backstory and wrote a history of the digital world....I think its still on my computer somewhere....

And season 1 was the best but only the first saga of 02 stunk like a monkey. The rest of the season had the old gen guys show up and it had a friggin' sweet conclusion. Myotismon suddenly revealing himself as the big baddie was one heck of a twist (from what I had seen at the time, at least)

03 was good to, what it had in commercial attempt it more than made up with in nifty plot concepts.
04....It was a kind of dying gasp, it was okay but they changed the fundamental thing that made digimon differnet from the other Saban stuff: they're pets did the fighting not them....

wait. are you claiming that one person's post was manifest destiny or the subject of fundamentalists are using manifest destiny.

anyway, although I'm not a fundamentalist and I do believe that there needs to be a healthy seperation of church and state, of the abstract and the logical, I am still dismayed at the level of antagonism for the other, on both sides. I think the main reason for this is that neither side respects the other side's need to exist. We need our philosophy just as much as we need our science. As long as we don't have extremes of either things should be A-OK.

Well, generally speaking the extremly young are characteristically not well respected for their maturity, ergo, *fizzle*. That's the great problem of the law -- some ten year olds are far more mature than some fourty year olds, however, we have to make rock-solid laws that are written in black-and-white terms, otherwise the laws will be bent out of shape to where they're moot. It's like statutory rape; the laws serve to add extra punishment to thirty year olds who literally rape prepubescent boys or girls, but the laws hurt the case of the nineteen year old with a seventeen year old girlfriend -- he's treated as no different than the thirty year old rapist in the eyes of the law, and is sent up the river for a decade or more, regardeless of whether the relationship was mutually decided upon. People want to interpret the law too strictly these days, while it needs to be taken on a case-by-case basis.

Indeed, the notion of the gray area has always been a problem when making generalizations. However that, sadly, is always going to happen, our world is far to flawed (or...complex) to be governed by any one total concept. there will always be exceptions. Same with this. Yes, I did state that some people are wiser than others but I intended to state that as a minority. Generally speaking, most youngsters are not ready to make such decisions. As for statitory, where I come from there is a two year grace area, outside of that, then it is kind of sick, or at least unseemly.

I've seen (and read) the beginning chapters/episodes of the series. It's good, not great. One thing that I have with this series is that I'm not a fan of his work in general. you guys ever read zombie powder? oh, man. Stinky. The main character was almost a complete clone of Vash the Stampede....except that he had a giant sword.....and its edge worked like a chainsaw.....

A crapload of bad stereotypes in one fell swoop.

I have screwed up hands so I excercise with one of those gripper things. You know, the things you squeeze for hand excersise? (what do you call them...oh...)

I used to lift weights back in high school. My brother was majorly into it and he got me going for a while but it didn't take.

Are you kidding?

That had to be the stupidest twist ever.

I mean, that guy was beaten already. Twice!

He already did his comeback after he was beaten as an Ultimate then decided to come back due to some "prophecy" and turn into a Mega.

That was just overkill. They ran out of ideas and decided to put his ass back into the spotlight.

Well, I said up to what I'd seen at the time. And besides, its did make sense, since they had set a precendent in season 01 when they showed that Myotismon doesn't delete like normal digimon, for some reason his essence always stuck around. Thinking back, I wonder why they didn't think to look for a big black cloud somewhere. (after the first time they beat his mega form, Venomyotismon.)

The anime is making fun of high school dramas. They're meant to look that way since the characters that are in these high school mangas usually look like they're in their mid 20's.

oh, and yes, I think the series rocks. It es muy funnio!

It's still one of my favs. the dad's head always being on fire was great. I just loved the rampage he's on, and for whatever reason, he's like-magical and unstoppable. It's great!

Check out the star wars one too. The person doing it promised more eps but I don't think its going to happen. It's a shame to.

You know, participating in such in an event to me would boil down to one thing: It depends on what *kind* of underwear i'm wearing. If I'm in boxers, yeah no biggie. but if you asked me to be in a G-string, uh no. Well no to a G-string in general.

Yes, luckily I didn't say that. I said it was good, not great.

"How is Ichigo at all like Vash? If anything, he is like Yuusuke. Or Edward."

His appearence is quite strikingly similiar to Vash, as well as the stranglely formiddable man in a world of so-so gunslingers.

And the abrupt ending....Even the mangaka apologies for that. He said he was going through a mental breakdown at the time or something....
