I know Mario looks crap on it. I plan to make him more 3D-ish, so he actually fits better into the OW. I don't know about the water yet, cause there ain't any good games with good water animation and I suck in drawing.

I was able to rip the Chrono Trigger water and also animate it perfectly.

Take a look.



I only need to darken the green or lighten the blue.

The problem is, I cant add any higher things than this cause there weren't any GFX for it in the game. I also can't add new GFX to the OW, cause I already used everything I can use.

But last not least, a screen of the cave.



I took off all pipes, exits, etc,..that's why the path doesn't finish.

@Raccoon: I ripped all OW graphics from it and I didn't saw high mountain GFX.
@Alastor: Make better suggestions for the water and layer 1, cause I think the water fits pretty good with the graphics, though I do agree that some layer 1 tiles look poor on that.

Anyway, here are some other screens and a reworked cave.

@Goldensunboy: I'll try my best on these. I only made a new cloud so far and I can only use 2 colors on it.



Oh, and btw. For those who don't know my hack and think I'm just starting one....this hack has been started in the spring of 2004 and I still am working on it, since I stopped SMW hacking for a long time. The thunders use layer 3, though they need to be added again, because I lost some stuff when transfering my hack to another and this to another, etc etc etc...
In short, it fucked up a bajilion of times.

Ok, autoexec.nt is the problem. I had it with another program before.

To fix this do this:

Insert your WinXP CD, close the autostart program, then go to Start -> Run and type in cmd and hit enter.

Now copy or type this into the console.

expand d:\i386\config.nt_ c:\windows\system32\config.nt
expand d:\i386\autoexec.nt_ c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt
expand d:\i386\command.co_ c:\windows\system32\command.com

Change d:\ to your CD-ROM drive, if it isn't d:\

Now it SHOULD work.

I'd suggest downloading the latest version of sprite tool and reinsert the donut block.
Anyway, this looks like a wrong tile to me. Try looking for it in the 8x8 editor in LM, as I don't know what page no. and tile no. it is.

People like to make threads, thats why.

Anyway, the poison mushroom shouldn't overwrite another sprite, maybe an object in GFX00.bin or GFX01.bin. Just insert the poison mushroom and use a question block, don't ask me which one, I don't know it, since I don't use it.

Normally you don't need the code anymore in 1.63.

Oh well, open Lunar Magic and go to the level editor, not the OW editor, then just type in Chelsea and it should work.

Edit: I just checked it and you only need to open the OW Editor and click on File -> Title Screen -> choose your option here

I'm having some problems using palette 2 and 3 on the overworld. It seems like the objects using these palettes loads some palette from the previous finished level.*

The problem is, I already used 4-7 for my entire OW (layer 1 and 2) or else I wouldn't use palette 2 and 3.
