Hey there,

I'm Vangar, an Ex member of SWS2B (I left because i simply got bored). I'm not new to hacking and looking foward to designing an original hack for Super Mario World.

I've noticed that Tweaker is a member here, co-incidence as he was a friend on SWS2B. Anyway i hope that i'll fit in and i can't wait to check out the site!

*Dagsha is somehow looking forward to ABC2B, or something

"Ex"-member? Wow... well, welcome here, I guess? Even though this place is a lot ... er... dimmer than SWS2b.

(Xkeeper)

"ABC2B" ? Are you reffering to SWCTB? Wow, its more popular then i thought...

For those of you who don't understand, SWCTB (Simon Wai's Comic to Beta) is a comic that i used to do for the site. It ended with 20 episodes.

Heya,

I did a quick seach on the forum and returned nothing, basicly i was just wondering if anyone could upload a finished game of SMW. That way i can test my levels a lot faster. Or am i missing something, is there an easier way to play certain edited levels?

Either way, thanks in advance,

Vangar

also there is a smw hacking forum

Ah right, i didn't notice it as it was so far down, sorry about that.

Thanks for the information!

Um, if you've edited your overworld at all, an original SMW save file isn't going to do you any good.

Use these debug codes instead, which will allow you to clear any level with Start + Select (or hold A and press Select to activate the secret exit):

00A26800 (ROM address: $002468:00)
00A27300 (ROM address: $002473:00)

Man, I didn't even know about that. Shows just how long since I've last been hacking Mario World.

Thanks for sharing.

Don't mean to sound like a newb, but how do i enter these codes?

Hmm, nice work Heran. Did you do anything other then add those '?' Blocks in there?

Maybe make a patch with different textures to resemble an older Super Mario, or use some Sonic tiles in there, that would be cool.

Either way, this is pretty cool.

Tilesets? This game is 3D, so it uses textures and models.

I'm still wondering why someone would show off something that isn't good, but it's something I see all the time, because people don't really know the standard that is "good." I know it's something I'm guilty of in the past; showing off something that completely sucks because I haven't seen much better done by my peers.

Yeah I just felt like mentioning that. It was one of those "pathetically cute" things that only women can pull off [if it were a man it would just be "hey man you suck."]. Damn you women

Well she wanted your attention, so she might like you. You should tell her that her future artworks are good, then get her number

So the game runs fine on the Surreal64 for Xbox, but it seems that the trigger cannot be pulled down enough for Juno to fire, and the anologe stick can't be pushed far enough for him to run. This is not a controller problem, and i have played with the seetings. The sensitivity and key mapping is correct. All the other N64 games run perfectly, it's just Jet Force.

What's going on?

Posted on 07-09-06 08:51 AM, in Halo 2 softmod maps? Link
Here is a quick layout on what to do:

- Connect your Xbox to the PC using an ethernet cable
- Use an FTP Program to rip the game from the Xbox
- Download the Halo 2 map tools (Not sure exactly, i've forgotten the name but it was very easy to find)
- Delete most of the campaign maps (Free space for Multiplayer modded and new maps)
- Use the halo 2 map tools program to add the downloaded maps to the maplist
- Burn the files onto a DVD-R using Nero's UDF + Force Video Compatability (For XboxTM)

Then you have a working Multiplayer Halo 2 DVD.

If you nuke the board, the idiots are getting what they want. Other then that i don't really have an opinion on the matter, because i haven't been here for all that long.

This will not work on Halo 1, as it has quite a different map format (to start, they're compressed, and decompressed into the cache as they are used, Halo 2 uses 2 or so map files that are shared containing common music, textures etc.... and the formats of the maps themselves are very different, even if there weren't there'd be a whole lot of tweaking to do since the two game engines are also very different...)

for halo mod information I used to go to HaloMods back in the day. Not sure of their reliability these days but it's worth a shot.

I'm not quite sure if he meant that or if he was asking about the Ethernet cables working with Halo 1. If this is the case, yes, Crossover or Patch Ethernet cables work fine for System link in Halo 1.

I made claim to no label such as “hacker” or “cracker”
I only said that I am here to learn not destroy.

Definitions of exploit on the Web:
1. Use or manipulate to one's advantage; "He exploit the new taxation system"; "She knows how to work the system"; "he works his parents for sympathy"
2. Draw from; make good use of; "we must exploit the resources we are given wisely"
3. Deed: a notable achievement; "he performed a great deed"; "the book was her finest effort"
4. Overwork: work excessively hard; "he is exploiting the students"

I want you to pay particular attention to the second definition.
you make exploit sound like such a bad thing the first and second definitions sound great to me.

Ok wait a minute, this is crazy .Let me ask you this are you high? Have you read any of the previous post?

What "forum software" might you be talking about?
I wasn’t talking about hacking any forum; I have no clue where you got that from.

Please continue yours and others useless rants that solve notthing it’s entertaining.

God damnit man, i may be new here but it doesn't take a scientist to know when to shut the hell up. You labelled yourself as a cracker when you wanted to bypass a ban. Thats CRACKING.

You would have to have detecting codes all over the place. Wouldn't that make the game's functions process a lot slower?

They must have some pretty strong evidence to decide to go and dig there. I mean if they weren't sure, surely they wouldn't be stupid enough to go and dig randomly.
