It really does make some more sense, now.

Think about it: where is Nintendo making their money?
Japan. Duh.
The English-speaking countries have put Nintendo in 3rd place in favor of 'cool' systems, while Nintendo is thriving in Japan.

So they could either have a name that's stupid to Japanese, or a name that's stupid to Americans.
And since the Japanese are the ones eating their games up, wouldn't it make sense for them to have a more appealing name to the Japanese.
I get annoyed when I hear gamers talk about about Nintendo is alienating us--we alienated THEM in favor of Sony and Microsoft.

Sony is doing well in America and Japan, and Microsoft is basically eating up in America what Sony isn't, so it only makes sense for Nintendo to concentrate their efforts in Japan, where they're dominating the competition.

And people here in America who want to experience the Wii are gonna buy it ANYWAY, regardless of its name, and the Japanese don't have to struggle trying to say 'Lehvorushun-nu.' Or whatever.

A few things bug me, one would be the inconsistency of the pupils, the other would be the coloring of it. I noticed you tossed a highlight on the led and the metal part of the image, yet on the wood, there's shading coming from the same direction as the highlight, and in general it looks too much like some toddler's coloring book, you should think about how light would actually hit the image and color it accordingly. Other than that it's not bad, I love the concept, too. badass pencil.

Colin: no idea, but at times my tetris attack cart [not rom] gives me a piracy message, I just blow in it and it works again. Also traveller's tales has been known for wizardry in programming games, so it doesn't suprise me much.

Actually, I have, and yes, the game is extremely hard, and the ending is *so* not worth it. Really, it wasn't the getting game overs and having to start over that broke my controller, it was me yelling at my TV over what a shitty ending I got for playing all night long, way passed my bedtime [I was in middleschool at the time], for an ending that was like, boring, short, uninteresting, and overall lame . I loved the game, though. I <3 venom. I

I usually refrain from commenting on banners, but since you're so whiney/bitchey about it~

The |: and :| on each side just looks out of place, like you put it in there as a filler at the last second. [ I didn't realise that was part of the clan name] It's hard to tell that that flashing is gunshots, infact it looks more like it's just lightening, until reviewing it over and over I couldn't even tell that it was supposed to be a gunshot. Overall it's not very exciting, at all, kinda boring, and the flashing is kinda annoying.

On the original image, I think it rocks both of them. smooth animation, nice usage of color, etc.

As for the second image, it really doesn't excite me much, those types tend to either make someone go "ooh, whats it gonna say" or "pass." It's somewhat intriguing. It's not always the effort thats put into something but the overall look and feel when it's done. Ie. if I spent 2 years making a bunny logo for "youfuckingsuck.com" and someone spent 2 seconds taking a shit, they'd get chosen over me. It's just that his image says more about the clan than yours does.

As for those color emphasis bits, they can create some really nice effects, I remember playing around with them with megaman V, tinting it all kinds of colors and seeing how awesome it was. it's like using a whole different pallete, pretty much. If I can find my old notes, I'd post the ram address that controlled said color emphasis, but I'm lazy . It's actually very simple.

As for the hacks, yes it does remind me alot of playing old video games on a black and white TV. It totally sucked but it was better than playing with pogs.

Luckily all levels stay open to be replayed again, thus obtaining these two neat items repeatedly


I do that all the time. the sneakers really make some levels 200% easier. I love the phsyics of this game, btw. It's so unique.

For the most part, I don't think deleting people really matters, it just replaces their posts with "post by deleted member" or whatnot. besides. if perma-banned people still log in, we can mess with their settings [NINJA AE THEME YAY ] and all that fun stuff.

I think my bannination came from Tomguy. I could be wrong though.

I would suggest instead of having him lose the powerup, have him just not be able to shoot at 0 coins :p. Anyways I love the idea, really makes you think before firing off fireballs like crazy at everything
