I wish I had the inspiration/innovation [not sure what word I'm looking for] that you have when making graphics. I started a hack of castlevania sometimes last year, and haven't been able to make more than one level because I can't figure out how things should look. I'm especially loving the gate, and orlox's quarters/clock tower. The royal chessboard clashes too much for my likes, and the inside of the castle entrance is abit bright. Pretty decent overall, very colorful.

I have a thing against using refrences, actually. Being forced to do so in a 9th-grade art class made me not only never use a refrence again, but made me never take an art class again, I do however, study certain game's graphics [demon's crest is one I"ve been looking over recently in another coummunity.] Also I'd shame myself if I ever ripped graphics, it's against my nature, and I'm getting into game development [got a job working on a mobile phone game recently, woot], so that would be a very bad habbit as well, for me at least. I believe the best way to get better is practice and practice and practice, and getting input from other in the same field. I have a folder with 200+ pixelart images done since september , I practice lots.

Also, drywall is piss easy and not nearly as messy as it sounds, but if you're sloppy with the mud it can be a pain to do some angles .

you know what would be even better? being able to re-arrange forums how we see fit. ie. "Stuff I like; Modern Art, Rom Hacking" "Trashy shit; everything else".
