Every tune. Seriously, when I hear a song, it replays in my mind until my ears hear another tune... making that one stuck until I hear the next. It doesn't matter what type of song or tune I hear, they just replace the one before as I come across them. It wouldn't bother me if my mind were a little more selective, at least my mind could rest a bit between tunes that get stuck.

Perhaps, rather than deciphering noob-speak, we could bring this thread back from "When is the editor arriving?!?!?!?", and help him out a bit? Maybe we could all start searching for stuff to help him on his way, like how Mario starts the Wingcap level with the wingcap on? There is probably all kinds of stuff for us to find out about the ROM to help VL-Tone on his way. It would make for much more interesting reading for everyone, than everyone trying to decipher noob-speak, or every other post asking something that has been answered 60-someodd pages back. Perhaps some data finding exercise could keep everyone focused? Perhaps even teach some of the newbies a thing or two about what is going on while they post "Is the level editor here yet?!?!?"? What needs found? What could help VL-Tone out? How can we be of assistance? |

I am Chickenlump. I have been a part of this board and watched it reset 2 or 3 times. I am descent at hacking SNES games, as I can trace down routines rather easily, find data, and edit graphics. I have very few hacks of my own, because I like finding data and working with numbers and helping rather than put all my findings into motion.
Let's see... Here is a thread where I made a patch to save anywhere in Chrono Trigger. http://www.chronocompendium.com/Forums/index.php?topic=1098.msg16302#msg16302 Here are some shots of me messing around with HDMA tables. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/Chickenlump/purdyz3.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/Chickenlump/purdyz.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/Chickenlump/shadez.png I made my own stat editor once for Chrono Trigger, named Chrono Tweaker. It has since been replaced by better tools, but I can make stat editors. http://www.herograw.org/ocremix/Zeality/ChronoTweaker.zip |

Mmm... Event data...
I wonder if it's already documented? If not, it should be fun to decode the event bytes. Excellent. Usually I look to see if something is already documented, but I couldn't help myself. I love event code.

My god, suddenly I remember the blisters and frustration that circular d-pads cost me, because I used to buy 3rd party gamepads and attempt to compete in ANY 2D fighting game. The pain, the losses (that would have never happened), the humility...
I know better nowadays to only buy 1st party controllers. I fail hard at the most simple of games with circular d-pad controllers. *shudder* MadCatz comes directly to mind... |

Woo!
I was in the midst of finding all kinds of data for this game too, though it looks as if you have far more than I, and a much better grasp of it as well. I hope this gets released in some form or another. And here I was all proud of myself for something small like just finding the debug room.. |

I wish I could take pictures of mine actually, but they are quite cute.
Today, one climbed into my large litterbox like she knew what she was doing (and she did apparently...), did a cute little tinkle, and attempted to climb out again when she finished. She got tired and promptly fell asleep in the litter box (the walls are a bit high for her, it's meant for bigger kitties really...). |

I received a DVD of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
It's quite old and cheesy, but darn it, I want Elvira herself under my tree. Operation: Avoid the Family was a huge success. |
