I've only played the PSX Descent. I loved the music, and I bought it the other day, brand new for under $5. I ripped the tunes using PSmplay and promptly burned them.

I should really play the PC versions, I enjoyed the game quite a bit, but eventually the levels got bigger than my memory would allow.

He got the 'general idea' with all the other 'me too' posts before yours. You seem to have forgotten to add some constuctive critisism and/or good advice to your post.

It's good to post your opinion on something, but if it's a bad opinion, let him know why and perhaps how to correct it.

I love the original Secret of Mana.

The graphics were great, and the music STILL kicks ass ( I love the Oracle theme, for the Dark Lich battle ).
Has anyone here ever come across Shadow Zero without hacking? I knew about the rumor of him, and after looking through the ROM, I know he's in there, but as many times I've played the game, I have yet to have him appear.

It wasn't too long ago I found a sort of debug room in the game, not much in it though.

I look forward to the new game coming out for DS.

Wooo

I made a new avatar for the day, it's a pink Neko-Nu!

I just recently took in a stray cat (I think it's a cat... I need to cut away all that hair....). It's cute and cuddly and poops alot.

Not because it tastes bad, i just feel sick when im having too much of one thing... like with a really big pizza. im stuffed after half of it.

Eh, I'm so shy, i can't even order pizza. heck, i'll end up doing some food for myself. even tough the nearest pizza place is like 600 meters away. ;

I only order pizza just so they can deliver it to my front door, and after I pay for the pizza, I grab it, and watch them for a minute (they stand there waiting for a tip) and smile as I just close the door. It never gets old!

SHOW ACTION IN YOUR SCREENSHOTS, YEESH

As i've said 3 times before on this board.

It's the original Super Mario Brothers... how much action are you expecting from it?
3 or 4 sprites, projectiles and obsticles... that's about as exciting as it's going to get..

I think it looks decent, he is using hand drawn letters and sprites, a plus in my book. Ripping graphics from other games is the easy way out, so he is putting some effort into it.

Mario's colors, eh, it's a bit different from the norm, but it might be explained as Louis not being 'white' or a zombie or something.

It's a start, keep at it. I'm sure after awhile, it may not even resemble what is in the screenshots right now.

I have to disagree, if the original graphics look better than your custom graphics it's getting a bad rating in my book.

Oh, I completely agree. It's just not everyday I see someone creating graphics instead of using premade graphics and just dropping them in. His graphics certainly need work done to them, and I'm sure he will get better at it in time.

Perhaps he just made the mistake of showing off his work so early in development. If all the graphics are eventually changed to his artistic styling, the few things he has done won't stand out as 'bad' but it will all blend in together as something 'original'.

That all made sense in my head anyway.

Illusion of Gaia - SNES
Awesome game, neat music, OK graphics, puzzles and dungeons, and the roasting of a secondary helper character.

Uniracers - SNES
This is the first trick-bases games I remember playing. The graphics are simple, but simple is a good thing.

Paladin's Quest - SNES
I'm a sucker for pastel colors.
There are alot of characters to join your party, the music is pretty darn good at setting the mood for whatever goes on in the game, and a really spiffy debug mode that doesn't require any cheat devices or hacking to use...

The Magic of Schaharazade - NES
I played this before I played Final Fantasy, making this my first RPG game. It's a bit like zelda and final fantasy mixed. I love all the characters, and you can stab people with your sword and they go "AHHH". To this day, I still have the word "Pampoo" stuck in my head..

You are not a moderator here, and you do not get to decide if this thread is to be closed or trashed. If you have nothing good to say, or any constructive critisism to give, you probably should avoid posting in this thread any further. Giving your opinion is one thing, but sheesh.
There are hundreds of other topics at this board to post in. If this bothers you so much, quit posting in it. Honestly.

I followed the tutorial at:
http://www.tutorialtomb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=317

After a few of them, I got creative and added lighting effects to the different layers, and some other tweaks not listed. There are also a bunch of premade ones in the art thread, like Zachio mentioned.

http://board.acmlm.org/thread.php?id=559

Don't reply to that thread though, as it is quite old, and a major bump would lead you to trouble. I don't think anyone will make one for you, as it seems to be a quickly dying fad.

No, the arwings are not 2D images, they are 3D objects, like Link, the levels and enemies.

Go to and bookmark http://www.romhacking.net

After you have it bookmarked , go to the Utilities section, and do a search for pic2snes.

You will turn up one matching item.

I could have direct linked you to the program, but then you would not have gone to the site, and wouldn't remember in the future how useful it can be.

That was the first idea that came to mind, cocaine and meth = weight loss, but illeagal, not good for you and *insert usual anti-drug sentiments here*

Even that wouldn't work in as quick as 2 days.

Heh... maybe you could kind of tape them down, or tie them down under your shirt?

-edit-

Here is kind of what I was thinking of...

http://www.underworks.com/products.html#983

Body shapers and girdles and the likes, wear them under your regular clothing to give off the illusion of having lost the weight in the areas you need them.

When I was younger, my father bought me a NES and Galaga. The first time we played it, we must have not pushed the cartridge in correctly, because there was no sound, and we couldn't die! We played for exactly 6 hours, and we didn't beat the game before we gave up. What the heck man, this game wasn't meant to be beaten?!? The levels we made it to didn't register correctly, the speeds of the enemies got to impossible levels.... It crushed our hopes of beating it by using skill... we never played it again.

Ok. Seriously try using a Gillette Venus razor. Yes, a Venus, the pink razor that is supposed to be a "girl razor". I'm telling you as someone with the hardest and fastest growing facial hair ever, that those things will give you the cleanest, closest, smoothest shave you can possibly get with almost no irritation at all.

When dealing with razors and other very sharp objects, I don't get hung up on the fact that my razor is pink and has a little flower graphic on it. You know what I notice? I notice the fact that the blade gives a flawless shave and lasts a SERIOUSLY LONG TIME without getting dull.

Seriously, I've been told to use these by the women working the register at my local Wal-Mart, and they do work better. It makes me FEAR women' legs...
