Its called common sense, something that most people lack.

Unless it's Connecticut. But people here are probably used to the snow and shit, especially less-than-spectacular plowing jobs. The only reason my street's generally clear is there's a school a couple houses down.

The fact that this Cold-Eeze seems to be making my cold humble, like in old country. Three days and I'm at the "mostly coughing" phase, which usually takes about a week, week and a half.

...uhm, what? If I've learned anything, it's that there's someone for everyone. I mean, you're 16. Back when I was your age (continues being ancient), one of my friends was in the same boat. Don't know if he had dated anyone then, but I don't doubt that he would have found someone. Seriously, obesity isn't THAT much of a turn-off. All of my past girlfriends have been bigger, and their weight was never a consideration. Of course there's going to be girls out there who think the same.

I don't think she was actively out to hurt me -- that was never a consideration -- but as you could see, it did piss me off. And this isn't my first dance, either.

* Bluetooth headset for phone
* 1GB CompactFlash card, for camera
* Spare battery, also for camera
* The usual complement of underwear
* $25 Target card
* $100 Old Navy card
* A bunch of candy in the ersatz stocking
* Wire basket... which was the stocking
* Shoe rack (because I have so much room to set it up and put my shoes there instead of the stairs)
* Box o' chocolate (work)
* Magnetic Monopoly-themed memo pad (also work)
* $15 iTunes gift card (yeah, like I pay to download anything)
* $50 in Amazon.com gift certificates
* Fleece gloves (which should actually be usable for work)
* A tin of Smart Mass putty (Solar Blue)
* Mobster Stikfas
* This pen
* A bunch of Moleskine notebooks

The ThinkGeek stuff came from a secret Santa thing on the Internets.

I dare say a "HOLY SHIT!" chant would've been in order, starting at, oh, about 1:40 left in regulation. God DAMN that was an amazing finish. And the two-point conversion? Three wide on the right, look right, BEHIND THE BACK to Ian Johnson, A WINNER IS BSU. When was the last time someone pulled off the effin' STATUE OF LIBERTY play in a game?

Javon Walker, who was riding alongside Darrent Williams. The irony is Williams was on his way back home to warn kids about getting involved in drugs and gangs (back in the day, he had friends who were associates of the Crips, but he got away from that). Nothing to say besides it's senseless.

That would have been the very antithesis of justice.

If this game keeps going like this, I think we'll be spared another Terrell Owensbowl.

My non-evil ex-girlfriend (the one where we dated for three and a half years, then broke up a year ago) and I have gotten to talking again. Since we were together, she's moved out, and has a fairly sweet place. Her roommate's moving out at the end of the month, and she needs a new roommate. So she came to me with an interesting proposal... move in with her.

Considering that we ended on bad terms, BUT enough time has passed that we're starting over, and that our relationship is strictly platonic, I'm tempted. However, we broke up because I didn't want to commit by moving in with her, and although circumstances are different... well. What do you think? Here's the relevant details.

* The apartment is two bedrooms, two bathrooms, so we'd only be sharing a kitchen and living room, really.
* We work on completely different schedules, and wouldn't see the other much during the week.
* Both of us have agreed that if this happens, boundaries will be important and that it's strictly business.
* We are not dating now, nor will we should we move in.
* The apartment is much nicer than anything I could afford in my budget, with free Wi-Fi, a parking garage, gym, tennis/basketball courts, pool, etc.

There are economic issues which could make this whole discussion moot, but that's not the point. The question is, if you get along well with an ex, could you still move in with them?

1. separate Sports and Entertainment into their own separate forum again. Maybe its just me, but I used to love to post in entertainment/TV/Movies/Music/Anime before it was thrown in with sports.

Well, I mean, the sports doesn't really take up that much of the uber-forum...

Back in the heyday of Elmo's diary thread in Femine's, that probably would have more traffic. But if it's not just for weight loss, but also body issues, cooking, etc. then yeah, that'll work.

Semi-related question: how do you do this in XP? I know I just asked one of the IT persons at work if they could do it so I could use a flash drive on my comp, and they did, but I want to do it at home too.

That shit was a titanic pain in the ass in Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. But it would be nifty if I could do that.

Just when I thought I was out, they keep pulling me back in. Let us start with a ditty from Avenue Q.

Schadenfreude!
Making the world a better place...

Everyone I know seems to concur: she's a total bitch. And now, her store's closing. So while he's still going to be at Starbucks in their hometown, she'll probably be working 45 minutes away... the OTHER direction. So much for having any time for him.

Is it wrong that I'm snickering a little at this? I mean, at this point, it's a total power thing; she wants to be my friend, but I'll only have time for her at my convenience. If anyone ends this, it will be me. (sigh) I should let this go, shouldn't I?

(flogs David Akers)

Not only did he play QB at Kentucky, I think he was even bigger then. Probably over three bills. Although there's probably a reason he went undrafted. (shrug)

And yeah, Samuel's getting PAID this offseason. Should be noted 10 picks this year is a career high. So has he peaked, or is a team going to get him at the right time?

Just the coach's poll. The AP didn't have to do that, and that's how we had split champs in 2003.
