Because they're Notre Dame. No, for reals, there's no good reason. Booking ND in your BCS bowl is basically your very own personal money-printing license. Consequently, they'll be overrated (oh yeah, I Went There). Hopefully, this won't screw Boise State out of a good BCS bowl (and stick them in, you know, the shitty BCS bowl). Oh, and since Our Injury gets all the money and doesn't have to share it with the rest of a conference, they make out better than anyone else. The real losers are the fans.

And thusly, Urban Meyer has a point. The reason no one's really talking about Florida as contenders is that their wins have been less than impressive. If they roll into the SCC champeenship and pound the snot out of Arkansas, then they'll have... what, one dominant win on the year? (Editor's note: Like probably most of the voters, I haven't watched Florida's games, so I don't know how well they've been playing. Like I said, most of the voters haven't either. )

Rermember James Kim? He appeared on a bunch of shows for TechTV (back to the ZDTV days, I think). Call for Help, The Screen Savers, etc. He left the network a couple of years ago to work for cnet, and now he's gone missing. He (and his family) was last seen November 25 in Oregon, but was expected back in San Francisco this past Thursday.
