...AGAIN with the sports. If this is about Rick DiPietro, his salary's pretty low, it's just the length that's absurd. Salaries in the biggest leagues are ridiculous, yes, but owners pay what the market will bear. And sometimes more. But that's for their own reasons.

Which is ironical, as I just got diagnosed with strep. HOORAY BEER! PENICILLIN! Anyway, this CD, along with the others I got today (Naughty By Nature, Method Man, "Who's the Man" and "Friday" soundtracks, etc.) scream "I WAS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL BACK IN 1993", yes? Seriously, who hasn't had a day like this?

* Woke up
* No smog, a decent breakfast
* Get a phone call from someone you've lusted for
* Drove around in your lowrider, get paged by someone else
* Quick game of basketball, and you are a BEAST on the court
* Get home, shower, run a red light and don't get pulled over
* Head over to a friend's house, make a ton of money off of them playing craps
* Beat them in dominoes
* None of your friends get killed
* Your favorite team wins
* Head over to another girl's house, get drunk, smoke some weed
* Hard fucking
* Wake up, bring her back to your place
* Publically announced as a pimp
* No one's looking for any criminals
* Didn't have to shoot anyone

THAT. Is a good day, if you ask me.

"Sony will use Gran Turismo HD, the next-gen update to the realism-heavy racing series on PlayStation 3, to showcase its 'micro-transaction' system for the console. The game will appear in two versions - GT HD: Premium, with 30 cars and two tracks included, and GT HD: Classic, a cheaper, stripped-down offering that features no cars whatsoever.

To play the Classic version you'll have to download cars and tracks using Sony's online service. This is according to an article in Japanese gaming mag Famitsu, which claims that cars will be priced between 50 and 100 yen (roughly 20 to 45 pence) and new tracks will cost from 200 to 500 yen (roughly 90p to £2.25).

With around 750 cars and 50 tracks available for download, this adds up to a ridiculous amount. All 750 cars could cost you in the region of £200, while collecting all 50 tracks would require you splash out upwards of around £60. That's effectively nearly £300 for the full Gran Turismo HD package!

This sounds absolutely bonkers to us - especially as Gran Turismo HD is planned only as a stop-gap until a true next-gen sequel appears. Sony was unavailable for comment at the time of writing, but we'll be tracking down an official word on the crazy sounding Gran Turismo plans as soon as we can and hopefully the PlayStation maker will tell us that it's all been a big mistake..."

As your attorney a fully functioning sports reporter who covers lacrosse, I'd say those are good. Only thing is the net needs to be more centered at the tip of the stick. The second sprite's the worst offender (really, only offender) but you're not bad. And they wear cleats.

I should have left work an hour and a half ago. And I'm going to have to write about football for the Mothership for the next three weeks. An extra story each week, no extra Cash Money. They're also going to want me to go up once a week and take call-ins from coaches with results, even if I'm better served here, covering my own beat.
