Difference being Fahrenheit 9/11 wasn't just about The Events Of September 11, but basically teeing off on Bush. This is just a crappy, fictionalized (and somewhat stereotyped, from what I understand from reviews) account of what happened. I've no burning desire to see this flick.

I'm not saying it's more acceptable, I'm just saying F9/11 wasn't made to capitalize on The Events Of, it was made to get Bush out of office. (Which I don't have a problem with, and I'm guessing you do, from the "deception and half-truths" comment. But no getting politics in my tube. Let's end THAT with a basic assumption: Michael Moore:anti-Bush::Ann Coulter::Bush cheerleaders.) If it was capitalizing on that day, then I'd have an issue. (Or maybe I'd let my politics blind that. That's why I'm in sports and not politics. )

If Ebert's review is closer to what the movie is, it sounds much better. Still not interested in seeing it, but not for bad reasons.

Gene Wojciechowski, Chuck Klosterman, Michael Irvin, and the rest of Team Reggie Bush Is God? Line to get punched in the face forms to the left. And I don't mean because the Texans picked Mario Williams (personally, I would've gone for D'Brickashaw Ferguson, seeing as their biggest problem is they can't keep Carr upright). Get off Bush's dick. He's gonna be limited in the snaps he can take, and guess what, I'll bet he won't outdo Domanick Davis's 2005 year (just a hair over 1300 total yards). Defenses in the NFL are just too fast and too good for Bush to snap nearly as many ankles as he did in college.

That said, what do you get the team with Michael Strahan, Osi Umenyiora, and Justin Tuck at DE? Why, ANOTHER pass-rushing defensive end. At least they made the right call going up to get Sinorice Moss.

RESPECK the Iron Sheik and RESPECK Suzanne Vega. Probably her biggest hit, making the world safe for the female singer-songwriter... again. Great song, I must say, so that kinda sorta speaks to her songwriting ability (which is why it's good). Instrumentation's nothing too special (this is 1987, so it kinda sounds like it), but that's not why we're here (although her voice REALLY helps). Song's about child abuse, which wasn't really much of a topic in music back then. It's such a sweet and seductive song, until you think about the lyrics. Then you think "yeah, that IS fucked-up" and go back to appreciating the song.

So there's a bunch of MP3's I downloaded off of Soulseek, only they're not. The extension's .mp3, but the tooltip info shows Windows can't recognize anything about them (song length, ID3 tags, etc.). iTunes won't recognize them, and Windows Media Player said the format doesn't match the extension. How could I figure out what it should be and fix them?

BSD: Well, the RIAA wouldn't have much incentive to fake THIS band's work. They're pretty obscure.

HH: They will play (at some indeterminate point in the file), but all it says in the info is the file size. Nothing else that other MP3's would have.
