You've created quite an amazing mod Drewseph. I really appreciate it. For someone that is as big of a fan of Metroid as myself, i really couldn't ask for more in a fan modification. I'm not even half way through yet but i really like how it takes a veteran of the Super Metroid game to enjoy it but isn't overly difficult.

There's always gonna be the childish people who can't appreciate anything that has been given to them for free or will claim something sucks just because they aren't good at it. This game has something that recent the recent metroid games and Nintendo games in general have lost. The requirement to think for yourself.

The recently released "Mother 3" for sure. They're supposively working here:http://www.mother3.org/ (bless their souls) But, nothing is for certian.

Also i really like the Fire Emblem series, complete translations of the SNES releases would be amazing.

But personally I'd like to see Fire Emblem 6 translated

It has been almost completely translated for a while now, i've already finished it and it was well done to me. It's been a while but i'll try and help you find it if you can't with some searching.

I've been busy alot lately so i haven't gotten much further then the last time i posted but i'm avoiding reading through too much of the thread so i don't see any spoilers.

I'm constantly supprised at the amount of work that must have gone into all the changes and the brilliant level design. In terms of difficulty i wouldn't change a thing. I search every nook and cranny when i play and it feels good being rewarded for it. I'm been having so much fun i can't help but chuckle as i get through every tensing situation.

The purple blocks that needed to be bombed to get out of being stuck in North East Norfair... That was just plain diabolical. (i'm assuming i'll be getting the grapple device soon) The only reason i found the path was by power bombing every area in rage.

This hack is freaking fantastic, but man is being stuck in the pit in northeast norfair frustrating. Other times I've been stuck, I've been able to come up with something... But man, this is just ridiculous.

That's exactly how i felt. After i super bombed that area and it opened up... then i just felt stupid.

Wow, CT is one of my fav. rpg's ever. I've never played the first "Crimson Echoes", will that matter in terms of story?

If so i'll try and play the other first if it's possible.

Doing one to reach a high tunnel like the one in that acid room wasn't required in the original game. Honestly, i've never been really good at Samus's moves and this game has forced me to perfect moves i could only pull off from time to time in the original SM. It's a good thing.

I can remember when i first got to the area by the first power bombs that required the complex diagonal bomb jumping. I was thinking... you gonna be fucking kidding me. Now it's quite easy for me. After i beat this i'm sure i'll know how to pull off any Samus move.

I wasn't as irritated with the hard ass jumps but the spikes are ridiculous. Spikes here, spikes there, SPIKES EVERYWHERE! It's a bit much honestly. Some say this is borderline impossible, I say this is borderline cheap.

Obviously Drewseph wanted to make it more difficult then the original. What else could someone do to increase the difficulty using the resources already in the rom other then stuff like putting more spikes and increasing the damage of enemy hits?

In terms of level design, agian, using the resources of the rom you can only use so many different textures. What makes the level design so smart and original is the way that the obstacales were set up, not it's visuals.

Wow, apparently i'm just plain not good enough with the speed booster to break through all the blocks in one dash to escape from the rising lava. (the part right after the booster is recieved) I just tried the same running jump for 15 minutes straight.

I feel terribly disapointed in myself to ask for help, but i'm in a complete standstill and i really have no other choice.

I know this should be easy but for some reason i can't seem to speed boost through all of the blocks right after recieving the speed booster: (i know it's pathetic)

Should i just completely give up because i suck, or should i be trying to do it in a different way?

Also, out of curiosity, do you happen to know who "Tenacious D" are Drewseph?

I'm at a point where i just gained access to the huge water area in crateria. The area is a huge pain in the ass to explore without the gravity suit. Can anyone let me know if i'm going the right way to proceed with the game? I'm looking for the lost caverns & gravity suit.

when walljumping you need to push away from the wall and press jump (while spinning)

you need to HOLD jump in order to keep your thrusting speed away from the wall, if you let go you will stop in mid air for some glitch that cannot be fixed.

****UPDATED PATCH****

on my website is a new version that eases up a few of the more difficult obsticles in my hack. I have fixed lots more bugs and this patch is deffinatly wrth downloading.

http://drewseph.zophar.net

If you don't mind me asking, what difficult obsticles did you make easier? I'm really liking the difficulty in the one i'm playing and i have no problem with the wall jumping.

The new enemy sprite looks great. The grass and dirt look nice as well being more detailed, now i'm interested in seeing how appropriately all the other ground textures match up in style. I can't say anything about the stones till i see a screen shot of them being picked up.

Not that i didn't enjoy the Lost Caverns but i atleast knew what to do with the double diagonal bomb jumping compared to caliber of difficulty in the Lost Cavers where i don't see how anyone could figure out the "code" without an explanation. After i got the Hang of the diagnol bomb jumping it was quite easy.
