This is a good hack! The blood and drug references (and a certain secret level) felt pretty out of place, but the level design was interesting enough to carry it through.

Well judging by your IPS, this is Demo World with the SMB1 and Raccoon patches, some (often poor and incomplete) graphics edits and seven different varieties of graphics glitch. And a SMB1 level where the bricks don't work. Would I happen to be correct?

OK, so from what I understand I have to use SDW as a base if I want to use SMAS music. However, some other hacks like PiTMK2 use non-SMB3 music, and I was wondering what I have to change to use this music?

I use YY-CHR and a ZSNES savestate with my intended Mario edit's fancy new pallete. It hasn't failed me yet, as I can easily copy and paste between YY-CHR and Paint Shop Pro.
That, and anyone who uses TLP is a godless communist. |

Originally posted by Santa PoringOriginally posted by spel werdz rite Oh come on, just because I'm off on holidays doesn't mean you can start sinking the boot in with a comparison to THIS guy! Downloading, will post thoughts soon. EDIT: OK, here we go... OK, I wrote this while playing. If it seems incoherant or otherwise overly unfair, blame the sea breeze, that third vodka cruiser, or my continued possession and usage of my soul. Yoshi's House: Unchanged. Dangerous Island 1: Cutting it a bit thin with the time limit. I HATE Muncher mazes, especially since you die if you touch the side of one. Some opportunities to get helplessly stuck, and at least one Leap of Faith (a big no-no in my book). Not the best of starts... Red Switch Palace: ...what? I think this is mainly unchanged. Dangerous Island 2: Underdetailed, and with little thought as to the general design. Throw in a bastardly P-Switch art edit, and a fall of faith straight onto a angry yellow shell, and there's no way of sugar coating it: this level sucks. Dangerous Island 3: Oh joy, a Wario Land tileset! Oh joy, more poor level design, including another pet hate of mine, which surprisingly is also a Legoman trademark: Single-block jumping puzzles! Oh joy, Legoman hasn't had his computer engulfed in Satan's firey flames yet! Dangerous Island 4: The first half of the level closely resembles the original in places, and has completely innappropriate music. There's very few nice things that can be said about the second half, so I won't even try. Dangerous Castle (NOTICE A THEME HERE?): The first part was mediocre, and could do with a brush up, but felt more fun than the last few levels. The second part was... well... boring. Bowser Island 1: Boring edit of an old level. Inexplicable switch palace at the end. Bowser Island 2: Everything wrong with Layer 2 in three parts. Bowser Goust House! (oh legoman): Almost THE EXACT SAME as a SMW level. Bowser Island 3: Hello level! I remember you! And I liked you more when I played you, what, five years ago? Very DANREROUS Cave (oh legoman!): I WANT TO DESTROY YOUR SOUL LEGOMAN Bowser Tower: Demo World TLC's Boo Tower's retarded half cousin. I'm convinced floor nine is impossible. That and I just got Tekken 5 and would rather play that instead. In short, this hack blows and I am further offended by Poring's analogy to my hack. Hey, at least mine was FUN, ya big bully Although, to be fair, I didn't see any Wirtual Man-esque Note Block nightmares, so either Legoman's learning or he put them later on in Bowser Tower, and I just... didn't... care. I've started dicking around with Hyrule Magic recently.
0.) After editing Links House and some monologue (The Zelda, Uncle and Guard speech for the game's beginning) the game's graphics stuffed up, becoming pitch black with some orange lines when I entered the room with the Dying Uncle. What did I do wrong? 1.) I remember there being a guide to HM by some guy. Where abouts can I find it? My rage with the overworld editor grows hourly due to my inabilty to create a simple hill for Link's house to sit on. 2.) There is no 2. |

Originally posted by BGNGThreads with the equivelant of "n/t" as the content, however, are in my humble opinion. That, and he made three such "Question in title, no text in post" posts, thus cluttering the board where he could have put the three questions in one thread. I am all for newbie questions! People come into communities and need a little catch up on how thing's work, I'm willing to answer some questions. But the sad fact of the matter is that "a recently closed thread" was closed due to it being crap. The question was decent, the method of asking it was not. Now that I've gotten that off my chest, the actual topic. The way you describe your ROM-less mode is interesting, although I'm not entirely sure the amount of people who would use such a mode compared to users using ROM-based support would really qualify the time spent working on it over polishing the main editor itself. Still, more power to yah I suppose. |
