I find that ripping works if it is only used as a base, and you chop and change and edit and generally screw with it until everything fits.
The headquarters/spacebase in Ninji Saga was kind of like this - it was the bastard child of super metroid, smb2, megaman and duke nukem 2 for the pc. If people are just going to rip stuff, please, at least try to rip it from games that haven't been ripped a million times. Like PC/Amiga/Atari ST games. Then you HAVE to edit them to make them fit properly in the pallete/proper tile size, and it will look good and different from the norm for it. |
