A little screeny, I edited the bicycle and changed it to some kinda car. It's called a TetraRider, it was gonna be a UFO but it looked like the sprite was on the ground.

Hey gang,
I back due to a dumb error. It happened on Tuesday night, I was actually trying to log on but as I did it said I was banned from this board (which I wasn't 'cuz I wasn't on the banned list). So, the next morning, I logged in but I couldn't, I found out that my account was deleted, I was ticked off. I didn't delete myself, it's probably becuase I use crappy AOL. Well, for those who wondered what happened to me Tuesday night, that's what happened.

Hey gang,

Where can I find a good Zelda 1 level editor for dungeons and the overworld? I went to romhacking.net and Zophar's Domain to check and I saw some. Are those the only level editors or are there others?

It looks pretty good. Your custom text is great too, it's look sorta like the text from Bonk's Adventure. The floor design for the underground world is ok. Overall, keep up the good work.

Another question for ya'll.

Do any of you guys have the .adf file of Zelda I for YY-CHR? The reason why I ask this is that when I open up Zelda I w/YY-CHR, some of the graphics look sorta messed up, could it be the ROM or the program, I wish I could should you guys a screenshot f what I'm talking about. Also, is there a title editor for Zelda I (like SMB has one.)

Posted on 05-19-06 09:16 AM, in My LOZ hack Link
Well since I had no success with the Earthbound hack, I am starting a Legend of Zelda hack (it will be basically a graphic, over/under world hack.) I really wanna complete this, I haven't really done much except edit some of the graphics and the overworld.

Here's some screenies

The Boy's name is Troy and he's stranded on a strange isle. (I haven't really changed any of the overworld, yet.) The sword is supposed to be a bamboo stick. Later, the final weapon is a Warrior's Bo.

This is the story!!

Also in the game you will need to find 8 Gemorbs and Troy's girlfriend.

BTW, does anybody have the .adf file of LOZ I for YY-CHR? That would really help me out editing the graphics.

I have to agree with Skydude's post. See, I basically listen to old-skool hip-hop. I really am into it but I also listen to jazz, 70's R&B, and some new school rap (basically the songs that are on my ipod). For example, if I'm really ticked off, I probably listen to a rap diss (ex:LL Cool J's Mama Said Knock You Out). Or if I'm in a good mood, I'll probably listen to anything that is basically hyped or has a good beat. (ex: Digital Underground's The Humpty Dance or E-40's Tell Me When to Go).

I kinda like your Troy sprite, but something makes it seem too... similar to the original Link. Maybe a change of palette is in order here?

Does anybody happen to have the hex codes of the palletes?
BTW, thanks for all the comments, I really want to finish this hack. I'm currently working on the overworld, Level 1 and graphics.

Hey gang,

I'm considered a quiet, shy person. The reason why I bring up this topic is I need help socializing with others. I mean, I can conversate with adults well, but with people my age, I mean I try but most of the time I'm quiet. I try to start a conversaton, but I basically worry about what people will say or if they won't talk to me. I'm considered a "nerd/ band geek." So, does anybody have any suggestions?
I'm just tired of being the quiet person I am.

To tell you the truth, I've never really played it until yesterday (actually the DS was my friend's.). I was playing Mario Kart DS, that game is cool because it has classic tracks from older Mario Kart games. What really shocked me is that the DS had a mic (which I didn't know about.) I was playing Nintendogs, it was awesome how you could speak to the dog and hear what you said and how you can blow up balloons. I want to get a DS, but the prices for it are high.

BTW, is the New Super Mario Bros. out yet? I've seen commericals of it and by the looks of it, it's awesome.

Here's a couple of screenies from my Zelda hack.

I've changed the octorocks to some kinda rodent.

The moblins that shoot arrows are now Marinta Natives that shoot rocks from their
wooden tubes.

The ground enemy have been changed to moles, and the Zora has been changed
to a submarine telescope (even though it doesn't look like it.)

I've did some other graphic editing and I will show them later. Right now, I'm still working on the overworld and dungeons.

Is there anyway I can change the items names after the story passes and how about the ending text where you save Zelda.

Also, with Zelda Tech with editing the text there, I'm sorta having a tough time; for example my text goes off the screen or sometimes, it is not together. What am I doing wrong?

I dunno if this should be in general chat or here. But if I put this thread in the wrong place, forgive me. Ok, let's get back on track; my question is for people in college and college graduates, are you guys still "editing" roms? The reason why I ask this is that I told on of my friends I "edit" roms for fun and I want to be a video game programmer, he told me that I should stop creating fangames and hacks and start what I want to really work on during and after college (game programming.) So, should I stop hacking roms and creatinf fangames? Any suggestions?

I'll be graduating this Saturday. I'm glad and not glad that I'm leaving, to tell ya'll the truth, my high school years weren't that bad but they could have been better, it's just I've been having some problems with other students. Also, I've enjoyed being in my school's band for four years.

Hey gang,
I'm having a problem with my USB stick on my laptop. It was working a couple of days ago and now it doesn't work today. The laptop doesn't identify it and when it does, the USB stick is identified as "ADIR ROM". What should I do? Should I get a new USB stick?

When I try to change the objects with the + and - keys, it doesn't work. Do I need to hold down shift or the control button when pressing the + or - keys?

MMBN6 was pretty good, I have the Gregar version. For those who said MMBN5 was crappy, I have to disagree, MMBN4 was crappy! (to me). Oh well, different strokes for different folks. I liked how some of the past MegaChips are now StandardChips and how mostly NaviChips are MegaChips.BTW, why do you guys think MMBN5 sucked anyway, I just wanna know.

Does anybody remember these two games from the genesis? I liked part 2 better than part 1. I haven't played the one on the X-Box though. I actually beated T&J Trouble on Funkotron yesterday, the whole game was pretty good. It's your average platform game, which you have to bottle up earthlings and send them back to earth using different powerups.

Well, I had an idea for an EarthBound hack but it never was completed.
It was going to be called I Love the 80's:EarthBound Style.

I was going to change the main characters, the bicycle to a weird-van, and the whole maps (changing Giant Step to an abandoned music factory, the desert to a swamp.) and the meteorite to a 1986 Sony big screen TV.

Also, most of the enemies were going to be 1980's based (characters, style, etc.)
For example, I was going to make Everdred into Heathcliff, have Alf as the first "sanctuary guardian" and much more.

I don't really see completed EarthBound hack nowadays, but I would actually like to see a completed one (and not one that just has some minor things changed.)
