| Very nice; except a couple of things: First add a little more purple to your sky, and the outer outline on your hills is the same color as the sky, turn that a darker green.
See here is a screenshot from my hack the perfect example of colors; it's got beautiful colors; you should make the ground a nicer color too. [img=http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/4342/supermarioworld00133pj.th.png] (edited by Fox on 03-16-06 05:29 PM) |

| You know what? I think asdf is right; the Purplish-blue sky worked for mine better considering it had those SMAS backgrounds, thus the sky in my BG GFX was more detailed, and blended better; I forgot to view aspect on standard GFX; the sky has only one color, and no fade-off colors, but I still like it better than your original colors. So maybe try using a sky color that goes better with Green hills.
The dirt in your ground needs to be a little less orange, and the dots are green; they should be barely darker or lighter than the soil part. Make the grass kind of darker to blend better with the depth of darkness of the soil, or if all the ground is too dark; then make it all a tiny bit lighter. Try that. For kicks let's just see you do square cement blocks instead of those donuts, or make your own "square-like" cement block. I'll make a version and show you in a little bit.(edited by Fox on 03-16-06 06:35 PM) (edited by Fox on 03-16-06 06:37 PM) (edited by Fox on 03-16-06 06:39 PM) (edited by Fox on 03-16-06 06:42 PM) |

I often thought of making a hack where the graphics were 8-bit like in SMB1 from the NES. I could make mario look like he did in SMB1 and even an interesting way of viewing the wide variety of enemies and yoshi in an "SMB1 Old School" form. It could be neat, but then again could be lame; it might be meant for old school gamers to kind of see the way SMW would look in 1985. I guess you could call it my joke hack that would be meant for fun as well... but maybe it's a silly idea, hmm.

| Andy, if you notice at the new blocks and the donut blocks; you can see that the cement blocks look so much more "sleek" as compared to "sloppy" I love the cement blocks Andy.
The green part of the grass should be one of the darker greens used in your hills, and the lighter part of your soil should be a little darker close to the spot's darkness. (My opinion) Change the green of the "i" in your info box to a simple white. (edited by Fox on 03-16-06 08:41 PM) (edited by Fox on 03-16-06 08:42 PM) |

| It won't be as easy as it sounds though. I would have to put my mind into the world of the NES; i know that their could only be limited colors per level like the NES.
Cape Flying: Choppy like NES or Sway like in SMW? |

| Good to hear he's still into making it.
Hope progress gets far. He does happen to be an active member here, even if he doesn't always post. giangurgolo Last activity 03-15-06 05:47 PM |

Well, I finally got to change the Mario sprites!!!
This is what small Louis looks like, and I got a chance to change the floor and trees, but I need to worlk on the clouds.
This is what Powered Up Louis look like, and if you noticed I changed the ? Blocks. This hack will now have six world (7 because of castles.) World 1- Louis & Moe's 'hood. World 2- BarbariaPolis (Barbarian) World 3- Slushy Summit World 4- Magnum Sea World 5 (5-7) - Dr.Magnum's castle (edited by Nintendude88 on 03-16-06 09:17 PM) |

| I've been working on this for a while (made with The Games Factory). It's a Sonic fangame. It's supposed to be based off of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Beta. But I added some twists to it. This fangame is supposed to be when Sonic & Tails meet for the first time and Sonic discovers the seventh emerald to become Super Sonic. Also, there are some zones that were in the STH 2 Beta in this game and some made up zones.
*-Zones that were or taken out of STH2 Beta ^-made up zones @-zone from STH2 GG Each Zone has two acts except SYZ, HPZ, HRZ, Order of Zones Spring Yard Zone Emerald Hill Zone *Wood Zone (Grand Bark Zone) (supposed to be the past of Chemical Plant Zone) *Desert Zone (Crusty Canyon Zone) *Casino Night Zone Beta ^Sakura Seaside Zone (supposed to be the past of Oil Ocean Zone.) @Underground Zone Hidden Palace Zone (must have six emeralds to enter.) Hell Refinery Zone (It's under Mt. Eggman) Mt.Eggman (Eggman took over Hill Top Zone) Here's some screenies and you can find a demo at my site by pressing the link on my sig. |

| I'm trying to change "?" Blocks into a different kinf of "?" blocks. I changed the sprite and inserted it into the rom and it's still showing the SMW "?" Block spinning around. My "?" Block only showed on the "?" block with wings when it was inserted but no where else. I know it's because of the animation; how do I stop SMW animation of their objects so I could do my own stuff. | |||

| Super Mario Allstars uses the same music engine as Super Mario World. The offsets for music sounds are found in the same location as in the other. That's why FuSoYa could implement the music in the rom. Other games use either the same engine (Super Mario Advance) or completely different music engines. Most are game specific. | |||
