| They're RAM addresses. They can be modified using an emulator's cheat function.
In PAR format, the codes would look like this: xxxxxxyy, where x is the address and y is the value. For example, 7E0013DA would lock address $7E:0013 at the value #$DA, or 218 in decimal. If you wanted to change them with a custom block, for example, you'd need something like this: LDA [value] STA [address] RTS (edited by Kailieann on 12-11-05 11:48 AM) |

| Clearly you missed the point. RAM is not stored in the file. It is the SNES's memory. | |||

| *sigh*
Let's try this again. RAM, or Random Access Memory, is used by programs to temporarily store data. The ROM (Read-Only Memory) is a copy of the program. A snapshot of the RAM would be a ZSNES save state file. |

1. He wasn't saying he closed the thread, he was saying the thread should be closed. 2. Because he's the one who posted the thread, the mods have no reason not to close it. |

| That shouldn't be too difficult. Just replace the appropriate parts of the code with JSLs to custom copies of the same routine that check $19 first and react accordingly.
Unfortunately, I can't help you with finding the actual routines, but for reference the values for $19 are 0=none, 1=mushroom, 2=feather, 3=flower. The rom address thread should have the jump offset listed. That's the best I can do. As for music, that's easy to do with LevelASM. Just check $19 and write to the SPC700 ram addresses ($1DF9-$1DFC). I forget which address handles music, though. (edited by Kailieann on 12-12-05 05:59 PM) |

| I watched it to death back in jr. high school. It's not that great. But then, I've seen it like three dozen times, so obviously the edge has worn off a little. | |||

| Yeah, I got tired of language settings screwing up my stupid american programs. Why the hell can't they use the region settings instead?
So yeah, I've been out of Japanese mode for a while now, so that's not it.. |

| SMB3 and SMB1 patches are available. You should be able to find them somewhere under the Useful Links sticky.
That's it, though. Music hacking isn't something that just anyone can do. As far as I know, only Blackhole89 and DJ Bouche have any real experience in that department. Blackhole89 was working on a music editor, but it hasn't been released yet. |

| If you mean the level number, it's 1F6. There's also duplicates at 097 and 197. | |||

Where are the ExGFX files? What format are they in? Details are your friend. "It's screwed up" In what way? Do the graphics have the wrong colors? Do they not show up? Do you even know how to make them show up? Is the ROM corrupted altogether? We're not telepaths. You can't just say "I did this and it didn't work" and expect us to know how to fix it. If you don't tell us what you did, then we can't tell you where you went wrong. |

| No. Go away.
You cannot read LM's help file. You cannot read the step-by-step instructions in the first post of the thread, not even when I provide a link to it and tell you which step you started doing things wrong. Go away. |

| The OAV wasn't pointless.
The first half was, sure, but the flashbacks were very interesting. Or at least I thought so. But they need to put out a box set already. Unfortunately the series is over, but incomplete (like several other animes), so you have to read the manga in order to get the full story. Still, the anime is definately worth watching through. The last episode had me on the verge of tears all the way through. Though for anyone who hasn't seen it, I should point out that there are a few fairly disturbing parts, (incidentally, the gratuitous violence counts as some of the least disturbing content compared to.. other things) and some people might not have the stomach for some of it. Incidentally, since noone's mentioned it yet, the OAV/Extra/DVD Special/Episode 14/whatever you want to call it takes place between episodes 10 and 11, not after episode 13. |
