I'm cheap, so I'm not buying any of the systems at launch, even though I could afford them all (even after loaning my mother $1000 today <.<; )
The 360 I have no interest in. I played Halo 2, and it was pretty keen, but it wasn't my favorite game in the genre, and the genre isn't my favorite to begin with. Not to mention the fact that the controller left my hand aching. I'm very interested in the Wii. I think the Wiimote concept is a really interesting idea, and I think it'll be a lot more fun than normal control standards. My issue with it is the power limit. 30-60 minutes on a pair of AA batteries.. maybe when they come up with something more reliable.. As for the PS3.. I'll consider getting one after the PS4 has been announced, depending on the quality of games. And I'm not exactly a nintendo loyalist. I basically stopped playing console games after the SNES era ended, and only started again earlier this year when I got a PS2 for christmas (albeit two months late..) I just think nintendo made the winning horse this generation. (edited by Kailieann on 09-12-06 08:14 PM) |

If anything it looks like a bad rom. I've never seen any emulator mess up the graphics like that. | |||

Three out of three random people agree, circular d-pads suck.
I find them to be too twitchy to be useful, compared to the more traditional four-point design. What do you think? Do you also dislike the circular d-pad design, or do you prefer another design? |

Originally posted by neotransotaku Circular d-pads are very common on PC gamepads these days. I can't remember the last time I saw a half-decent PC gamepad that used the cross design. And d-pads are nothing like analog sticks. A d-pad is essentially a collection of 8 buttons that can be either on or off. Analog sticks combine two axes, each with a wide range of motion. If an analog used two bytes per axis, then each axis would have a range of values from 32767 to negative 32768, resulting in just under 4.3 billion possible data value combinations from each analog stick. Of course, I highly doubt any program uses that level of precision, but it's still there. |

The best thing to do for now would be to ignore her, see if she goes away.
In the meantime, if you're really concerned about her approaching your parents, tell them what's going on, and not to listen to anything she says. Hopefully the situation will resolve itself. If not, and she starts to go overboard, inform the police about her behavior and let them deal with it, or at least contact a relative or friend of hers and explain what's happening with her. |

I'm too lazy to reinstall mIRC. Otherwise, I probably would be there.
Lurking, obviously. |

Spoiler: To me, the logical conclusion would be that the first counter is when the board will close for upgrades, and that the second counter is when the board will reopen after upgrades are finished. |

Originally posted by A Very 19 Grey Originally posted by HyperHacker So either the best PC gamepad HH has ever used is poor quality, or... I do have another, intact P880. I'm paranoid about even touching the d-pad. I've got a Logitech DualAction plugged in now. It's pretty decent, except for the lol twitchy part. I don't need pinpoint precision for.. well, any game I play, really. And even if I did, what's the point of having a controller that's more precise than my hands in the first place? So yeah, circular d-pads are too twitchy because I don't have the manual dexterity to use them to their fullest potential. But, apparently I'm not in the minority on that. |

Probe rush ke ke ke
Uhh.. something went wacky with all my save states, here.. Aaaand, from my MMO days.. This was taken just after the first error-correcting reset on the first day of a new event. The partially-obscured stairway leads to a spawning ground for what were, at the time, some of the strongest monsters in the game. In order to keep people from accidentally logging on in such a hostile environment, the GMs made it so everyone would spawn in the room shown here. And, well.. you see the results. I got dropped in the middle of a round of practice. When I re-logged, well.. Someone forgot to take out the default NPC scripts |
