| It seems to have potential, but it also has quite a ways to go.
I won't even consider using the debug version until the next release, due to lack of zip support. As for the main version, I can see myself using it to test things, but regardless of needing a new processor to run it properly (not to mention needing a new processor in general), I won't be using it regularly until the rendering system (which I'm assuming is DirectDraw) has a pixelation option. Emulators with antialiasing make my eyes bleed. Still, I'll probably use it for specific games, mainly ones that ZSNES has trouble with (*makes note to try out Dungeon Master..*) (edited by Kailieann on 01-10-06 07:35 PM) |

| SMO's most recent demo (demo 2, older than dirt) is only three short worlds, but it's well worth playing (and dissecting for study, there's some quality hackwork in there).
Though I seem to recall BMF saying that he "might" finish SMO "if" someone posted detailed notes on the NSPC format, which isn't a very good indication of progress. Then again, I've managed to stall three hacks before they even got off the ground, so I'm sure as hell not one to talk. |

| With all due respect, wouldn't it have been easier and faster to just change the binary in a graphics file and figure it out yourself?
Asking here isn't the best idea. There aren't many regulars in this neck of the woods, precious few of them have made editors, none to my knowledge have made emulators, and most of us are throwovers from back when this was Advanced SMW Hacking, so NES graphics aren't necessarily a strong point for most. |

| ZST is a ZSNES Save State (IE a dump of the game's RAM)
SRM is an SRAM file (a dump of the game's SRAM) SMC is a ROM. If it doesn't work you may have a bad copy or a bad emulator. DSC I can't help you with. |

| ZSNES has been known to just occasionally stop working like that. Best to redownload the ROM and emulator, just to be on the safe side. | |||

| Sure. All you have to do is hack the code for the goal tape, and likewise for the coins. | |||
