Hi. I joined because of this thread, and I just want to say great job VL-Tone, Cellar Dweller +, and everyone else who is working on SM64 hacking. I have always regarded SM64 as the greatest game ever, so I am looking forward to the editor. Will there be a web page dedicated to the editor as the release date gets closer?

This is also my testing post to test things. That's why I edit it a lot.

(think new islands in bob-omb battlefield)

Actually, I think the island is part of the terrain...

I guess we'll find out in 8 days if he will release it on the 29th.

I prefer XVI32. It's the best hex editor I've found so far, but I've never tried SM64 editing with it.

Try booting from your OS cd (if it doesn't boot automatically, try pressing F2 or F12 while the computer is starting). You might be able to reinstall the OS instead of buying a new hard drive

Could the drivers from your original mouse be screwing up the new mouse somehow? Try uninstalling the old drivers by going to Control Panel --> System --> Hardware tab --> Device Manager. Find the Targus mouse, double click it, go to the Driver tab, and click Uninstall. Then reinstall the new mouse drivers and see what happens,

A screenshot of Acmlm on Vista build 5536.

By the way, has anyone tried multi-booting Vista + XP + Any version of Linux? I have not tried this but I don't know how it will work with Vista's boot manager because boot.ini is no longer used.

65535.

Because, before computers, it was meaningless.

Now, not so meaningless.

64.

Because the N64 was amazing.

When trying to preview a post, it would be nice if the attachment would show up on the preview, but it doesn't. And if does do that on other browsers (which it might), it doesn't work on IE7,

The download is a ZIP archive, extract it and there is an IPS patch inside.

If it doesn't work, try extending the rom with VL-Tone's ROM Extender and the apply the patch. Also, Project64 gives me problems with IPS patches sometimes. Try 1964 instead.

The default download folder might be set to the A: drive for some reason. Try this and see if it helps:
1. Click start, click run, type regedit
2. Navigate to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
3. Change the "Download Directory" string value to something like "C:\Documents and Settings\\Desktop\Downloads"
4. Restart your computer and try downloading something.

Hope this helps.

Posted on 10-08-06 02:44 AM, in Braces... Link
I had braces for two years and they weren't that bad. Sure, getting them tightened hurt for about a day, and the rubber bands were painful whenever I had them on, but nothing unbearable. Now that it is over, I'm glad I had them because of my nice straight teeth Getting them put on doesn't really hurt at all, they just make you open your mouth really wide for a really long time while they stick lots of strange-smelling things near your mouth. The wires will irritate your lips, etc for a month or two, but not much longer than that.

Fun fact: I have a "permanent retainer" that is cemented on the backside of my 6 lower teeth so you can't see it. I never notice it and I'll probably have it for the rest of my life.

VL-Tone has already said that he has found no signs of Luigi at all while he has been decoding the game. The only beta stuff he has found are a Yoshi egg and a metallic wing cap texture. So no matter how hard you look, you will not be able to find Luigi.

prut96, you can download VL-Tone's ROM extender here. You will have to supply your own ROM.

Penguins are nice, except in Mario Kart 64...They always get in the way in Sherbet land. I always manage to run into them and spin out, then everyone else passes me But other than that I like them. But I could never eat a whole one.
