| I agree with setz and YD in that you should probably utilize more of that empty space, unless you plan on putting an image on the side, or something I'm not aware of. It would look better overall, actually, if you had a post table width of more than 80%, maybe a 90% size or so, to help fill up more of the emptiness on higher resolutions while maintaining about the same size on smaller resolutions. | |||

| It's not about who you think is better, though; we can all see that their schedule was weaker and that they probably do not have the talent to win a game against Florida or Ohio State, however, it's the principle of the thing... there should be no reason that an undefeated team finishes the year that way without a shot at the title, one way or another. Besides, you can't actually assume a damn thing... for all we know, maybe they could beat Florida. We'll never know because there is no kind of playoff. So, if someone wants to vote the team with the only undefeated ranking in the nation #1, then more power to them. You cannot prove that Boise State is a worse team than Florida, so why not? | |||

| I disagree, especially with such a large rise in the minimum wage. Rises in the minimum wage decrease on-the-job training, weakening the amount of skilled workers in the job market, simple fact. Also, it helps encourage hiring illegal workers at a wage lower than the minimum because an illegal won't be very apt to rat the company out or know the laws. Guess what? A minimum wage is supposed to help the people near poverty level; people like single-parent mothers working their asses off to stay alive. In all actuality, this has been studied and it is more likely that someone like a secondary wage earner in a multi-income earning household would get one of these new minimum wage jobs, like some random wife in a relatively wealthy household who wants a job. Hardly helping the impoverished. I see no point in it, at all, if it isn't significantly benefiting the people who need it most, those inner-city mothers and people in similar poverty-level situations. Also, economics people might remember that minimum wages are price floors in the labor market, which in principle, causes a surplus of labor offered by the people (unemployment, in other words). Eventually, the labor market is paying for less work, may it be less total hours offered or just plain less jobs kept.
Clinton, in a stroke of good thinking, gave states and even individual cities the ability to raise the minimum wage for themselves on a case-by-case basis. I think that was sufficient, this new law is both unnecessary and counterproductive. |

It does almost so much, soon there will be no staff at all, just an automated tuna doing everything from banning morons to closing stupid threads and approving ROM hacking users. It'll be like SkyNet, except, y'know, beneficial to humanity.
