Adamant already made one of these: http://board.acmlm.org/thread.php?id=8212. I really liked the original, though, and the DS version should be even better.

Originally posted by MidnaI have beaten the original NES version, which wasn't released in the U.S.. It was quite good, marked the beginning of the job system, and was a huge step up from I and II in the series, but it was quite flawed at the same time as far as gameplay was concerned. From what I've seen, this one is quite different as far as Final Fantasy remakes go (playable characters now have names and personalities, tag-along NPCs now have attacks, etc.) but I think it is about the same game in premise. |

You didn't create the poll correctly, first off. Anyway, it would really depend on what you're looking for in a system. Maybe there's a certain game you want, or you would really prefer handhelds, or something. I personally would get an XBOX 360.

Originally posted by DI agree, except, it seems to me that it would do more good than it would bad; any idiot who would abuse this is more than likely just that, an idiot, who would likely be dealt with quickly (and furthermore, they may have done something else just as stupid which would generate the same end result in all likelihood). There are many cases in which people simply mistype a letter or so, and then to have someone else fix it for you is usually just an extra unnecessary step. Updating a thread title with a date or something of that nature is also a good reason to implement this. |

Originally posted by spiroth10Just as Kail already said, they're annoying for the same reason as plain-text headers; and 90% of the time this is due to a lack of separation between those and the actual post. Originally posted by spiroth10Nobody is complaining about bandwidth, if Xkeeper told us that we needed to cut down on bandwidth by removing layouts, we'd do it. But there's no such thing going on, so your point is moot. Plain-text signatures are usually half intelligent (links to personal forums, etc.) and half idiotic (random phrases and statements that have no relevance to anything at all.) so while they are "tradition", they're not important, nor even good in most cases. Originally posted by spiroth10No, people (especially admin.) got tired of trying to pick out what is a post and what is the plain text header/footer in posts by certain users. Therefore, they wanted such practices to be looked down upon. I don't see what's wrong with supporting clarity in posts. Originally posted by spiroth10Frankly, nobody really cared before and nor will they care after, because it isn't a big deal. Just keeping clarity in posts is the whole point, and most people are able to do that with their headers/footers. Originally posted by spiroth10Okay. Well, Acmlm is around, so you lose on that point. The ads are necessary, if you understand the concept of hosting, you should know that money is needed to support the board in this respect. Go cry about them somewhere else, because they're not terrible ads at all. |

I have to really disagree with your characterization of the SEC conference this year. It was far and away the best, top to bottom, as far as I'm concerned. LSU is right up there with OSU in terms of talent and even they lost two games this year due to a bit of inconsistency at the wrong times. What conference do you perceive as being better?

Originally posted by fabioI completely agree, nobody would notice the difference if it was moved back a day in everyone's calendar, so I doubt it is really worth celebrating. However, if friends want to hang out because they like it, I'm all up for that. This year though, it seems it is going to be boring. |

Football, IRC, stuff like that. Nobody wants to hang out this year. That, and my family's never really celebrated it too much (they'll likely be asleep by 11).

I can see both sides on the issue. The fat kid is mildly freaky and annoying. Yet, it is so odd that it is interesting. Kind of like a bad smell that you tell someone else to come have a whiff of for themselves.
Haha, at first I thought you meant Metal Man by "Dirtbag". Interesting username. |

Anyone up for some predictions?
AFC: WC: Colts over Chiefs Patriots over Jets Divisional: Chargers over Patriots Ravens over Colts AFC Championship: Chargers over Ravens NFC: WC: Giants over Eagles Cowboys over Seahawks Divisional: Bears over Giants Cowboys over Saints NFC Championship: Cowboys over Bears Super Bowl: Chargers over Cowboys I hate to pick the Cowboys, but hell, someone has to win the NFC. I noticed I didn't get much right in my early pre-season predictions, but I did pick the MVP. |
