I did an obscenely high amount of leveling certain jobs (for me at least) and beat this game in a week. Mastered Thief, Monk, and Ninja on every character, Black Mage on Lenna, RM/BM on Faris, and Ranger on Butz (I prefer the other, yet badly thought up name) and Krile/Galuf. Also gave the two mages the usual array of magics, but only BM needs mastered. Dished out punishment on Neo-Exdeath, as I only got hit about once, with an Almagest. I don't know if it was just my levels or something else that made the final boss so much easier for me. Overall, the port was good; the character portraits were, as Kail said, a bit weird for those who have played the game before, as the characters don't really match them; but I liked most of the redone sound and the translation was great. Kudos to Square for this (FF IV Advance port set the bar pretty low here in the States).

I grind my own coffee beans in the morning, and I usually take a bit of sugar and either half and half or some non-dairy creamer with my coffee. Days don't go by the same without it...

Bowl season is always nice, getting to see matchups that normally wouldn't really come to pass (and with a good bit on the line) makes for pretty good games in many cases. I really want to see a possible Louisville/Florida game if it comes to pass; also, a rematch of ND/Michigan, but the BCS title will certainly be the best of all (still not as good as last year's, though.) And by the way, CFB needs the Plus-One system. Screw this guessing and dividing teams with equal records.

Now if Soriano could pitch, the Cubs would be in business. But... he can't. Anyhow, chances of Man-Ram being traded to the rumored Giants? Very small, as he has all the leverage with a no-trade clause. Either way, it's stupid to trade a guy who pretty much set up David Ortiz to have back to back MVP seasons. Ortiz needs the lineup protection from one of the best pure hitters in baseball to be successful.

The battle system was really buggy... characters could get two turns or no turns at all at times during battle. Also, when flying the airship around the world, you have to get around particularly slowly and other small things like that. It was fixed in the EUR version, which is the ROM version anyone should get as opposed to the US version for these same reasons.

Guys, this is what we need. Plus-one system: bowls stay the same as they are, with the exception of the BCS bowls; Top 4 teams play in a small playoff in two of the bowl games (1 v. 4, 2 v. 3), and then the winner of those two advance to the National Championship in a third BCS bowl (rotate sites of course). This is what I think would keep more teams happy than the current system. A full playoff system truly would not ever happen; this at least keeps the bowls as they already exist, but just adds an extra game for the two best teams.

This really got me thinking earlier today, in a rhetoric class. A kid made a speech pertaining to these same-sex classrooms and suggested it be used in all public schools. His support was really lame; his best assertion was that males were "distracted" by women in class and vice versa. However, there are other things to consider... teaching methods could be made more specific to each gender, maybe allowing a little more interest in class; but there are obviously things that could be foreseen as bad coming from this (gender inequality for one). So, what does everyone think?

I myself vote to allow it, but I do not support it in public schools nationwide. I wouldn't want my boy or girl growing up in a school whereas the students he or she sees are not a real representation of the world outside school. I think it's important to experience both genders early in life, and often, to help communication skills and whatnot.

Is that what you really meant?

Anyhow, I have to sleep ~9 PM and get up at ~5 AM for class. I usually even keep that sort of pattern on the weekends. My 9-day vacation for Thanksgiving really screwed the schedule up though (10 hours of sleep combined, last two days)

By the way, kidding as always Jeff.

Yes, and that's the only reason I'd support it as well. I believe private schools should be allowed to do what they wish, only because the kids going there aren't being forced; they could attend a public school with regular classrooms if the parents so choose.

There. It's a legit choice from a technical standpoint. And even though it wasn't intended to include those who don't drink it, it should. Really, a good number of people don't drink coffee, and I don't see how it would change the numbers in the other choices to give an accurate representation of those who do. >_>

None of them were ranked, but I really don't care that much. I just needed to rep FLA, however briefly.
Two I-AA teams and a Big East team don't help Florida look good in my opinion. However, I like their in-conference schedule; they probably thought when making it that the SEC scheduling alone would be enough to have them in the championship if they were in this position. However, without any good out-of-conference wins, Florida doesn't look quite so good as USC at this point. If only they hadn't melted down against Auburn in that showdown game... (I remember all that ESPN 360 coverage, it only turned out to be an okay game though, lol).

Lol... I hope those BCS nerds have fun trying to sort this out; funny thing is, either team that goes to the title game, one thing remains the same: THE BCS LOSES for their idiotic system having failed once again to clearly determine the 2 title contenders.

Edit: Of course, Florida has to WIN first... jumped the gun on that after seeing them up 17 in the 2nd quarter, but it's now 17-7, so its not a given yet.

It's still wrong to make OSU play Mich again... They have nothing to prove, as they've already beat MICH this year. If Michigan were to win, how would that be fair, considering on the season it'd be 1-1 in the season series? Plus, rematches often do not live up to the first match, and I don't want to see a lopsided title game.

Edit: This is what I get for multitasking, bad typo.

Actually, since Louisville won today, they get the BCS bowl bid. Which is good, in my opinion, because Rutgers was fluke-ish all year, and I think Louisville has a better chance of providing a quality game to watch. They should probably beat Wake Forest when the bowl comes around.

I may be just optimistic.. but I really believe this will be enough to instigate big change in the system. I really do. No matter who gets left out, it looks like the BCS made a huge mistake. In my opinion, I really believe it should be Florida in the title game, though.
SEC Champs + #1 Schedule strength + Rematch would not seem right on so many levels. I would actually rather just claim OSU to be champs rather than make them play a Michigan team that they already have beaten, although that obviously would not happen.

Wow. Florida has passed Michigan in both the AP and Harris polls. If speculation I've heard is correct, the BCS computers will have those two extremely close, and I would assume Florida is going to the title game. Crazy.

Now, now. We all know they only got in because it is a popularity contest PLUS Wisconsin and Auburn cannot receive BCS game bids because of a bad rule. They are clearly not as qualified as either of those teams (They beat nobody, their competition consisted of the Commander-in-Chief's trophy competitors.)
