Danielle feels like whining.

School starts tomorrow.

6:35 am.

(Needless to say, I'm knocking myself out with some Excedrin PM tonight at about 8pm... I'm gonna MAKE myself get some sleep tonight.)

It doesn't matter if he heard about it, the funny part would have been him entering Craziness Domain and seeing "Trapster likes buttplugs." in the ATS title.

Oh well.

And I only put it in the title, Apophis is the one that said it.

I'd suggest linking to them... it is kind of annoying when someone posts too many pics in a post. 5 tops if you're not going to link, and make sure you resize them to a decent size.

But since I want to see many of them, link!

I pronounce it by letters, actually. Ay-See-Em-El-Em. But if I'm verbally chatting or something (like on skype), I just say "Ace" or "Ace's" (referring to the board) to save myself the time and embarrassment.

It's pronounced many different ways by members. Ack-mulm and Ack-lum are pretty popular, and I know a handful of people that sound it out like I do. It's just what you prefer.

It's not 1337 or anything, hehe. Ace just created it after hitting a random combo of keys one day... it's quite a story.

School sucked. I'm tired and irritated with all the dimwits that surround me.

BUT ANYWAY.

The thing I enjoy the most about going back is seeing my friends every day again (even though I still saw my best friend almost every day over the summer... ), and seeing the few teachers that are awesome. Plus, this year I'm a senior, so... returning back is cool just cuz I can say that.

What I dislike the most about returning to school is getting up so early (school freaking starts at 6:30 am ), and having to be around all the annoying kids. It's sad how immature some people are, and I wish I didn't have to put up with that all year. But oh well.

Tatrion: That's awesome. AWESOME

Gah, getting up for 6:30am class is killing me. And not only that, but my schedule is messed up, so I don't get to leave at lunch every day like I should. That, plus work after school, plus the already tedious amount of homework, and Danielle is beat.

I just use a razor and shaving cream, I'm not daring enough to try the wax products or anything like that. And even though I use shaving cream (and lots of it), I usually get a little bit of razor burn for the rest of the day, because my skin is retardedly sensitive.

Otherwise, I'm not all that concerned about it.

Neo: Um, I'll pass. I like living my life not being stocked every damn second by cameras and whatnot.

Tatrion: Well, it only starts that early because I take a morning class (to lighten up my schedule after lunch, so that I can go home early and have time to do homework before going to work). For a majority of the kids at school, it starts at 7:50. Which is still relatively early, but not as bad as 6:30. Not by a longshot.
I completely agree with your stats though, sources or not. It's VERY difficult for me to listen to my teacher at 6:30, all I'm thinking about is how quickly I could be sleeping again. Just can't let myself put my head down.

Kas: Well, whether you like it or not, school is a pretty important part of life. We all go through it, we all bitch and moan, but you should really stick with it. I understand that you're older, and going back is probably harder, but... if you want a decent career, you need some kind of degree for it. Find something you'd like to study and pursue, and go from there.

I would gladly walk to school or work or something, but both are waaayyy too far to walk to. My mom doesn't let me go out walking to myself when it finally cools down in the evening, either (she worries too much ). Now that school is back in session I'm walking more, but I'm also sitting on my ass in class more and eating more (3 meals a day again as opposed to 2). That's definitely a problem for me, because I have to eat breakfast if I want to function at all in the morning. In the summer I just slept through breakfast, but... that's not an option anymore.
Maybe when it stops being 100 freaking degrees in the afternoon, I can start going on walks after I get home from school. What I really want is a bike, because I loved riding my bike as a kid... but I don't have one anymore and I'm not up for spending $300 on one.
A few years ago, I was 5'7", and weighed 165. It would be awesome to be at that weight again, with the extra inch that I've grown since then. I just have to figure out how to get there. Hmm...

My mom and I get along great, but we don't have time... when she gets home from work, I'm usually leaving to work, and I leave for school at the crack of dawn so we can't do it in the morning either. Perhaps on weekends, but that also depends on my work schedule. =\

If I can just figure out a way to exercise a little more, I'd be happy.

I really want a bike.

My job is only part time and not permanent, as I'm only 17... so there aren't any severe "consequences" with it. Aside from taking up all my nights (including weekends), the only real challenge is juggling it with school and homework and whatever else I may have to do throughout the year.

Posted on 09-07-06 02:46 PM, in Ecological Footprint Link
I took a little quiz in my environmental science class today, and it was really interesting. I'm curious how people around here will score.

It's called the Ecological Footprint quiz... it basically tells you how much of the world's resources you take up in your lifestyle. With the number of people in the world, there are only 4.5 biologically productive acres per person... so keep that in mind.

Link to quiz

Here are my results, which are horrible compared to the worldwide numbers, but fantastic compared to the US numbers

CATEGORY ACRES
FOOD 5.9
MOBILITY 1
SHELTER 3.7
GOODS/SERVICES 4.2
TOTAL FOOTPRINT 15

IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 24 ACRES PER PERSON.

WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 4.5 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE ACRES PER PERSON.

IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 3.3 PLANETS.

Be sure to share your scores. It's not too long of a quiz, so don't worry.

EDIT: Aaaaand I just realized after a few people took it, that the units may be different... US and Metric. So 2.5 hectares (or whatever that is) is equivelant to 1 acre.
