| Call back. A few days after you turn in an app, call the place back and ask about the job. It shows you're interested and really want it.
And if a food place is the best you can do, take it. If nothing else, you can work for a while and then use it as experience, which is also helpful. And food places aren't that bad. I work at an ice cream shop, dishwashing only takes about 15 minutes of a normal day at work (part time). Just try to avoid fast food... I hear that's bad. |

How are jobs for suckers? Everyone will have a job eventually, what's wrong with getting one sooner? You spend time drawing for money, that's like a job. Not everyone has a "talent" that can get them money like that.

Bussing tables isn't bad. A friend of mine works at a high-end restaurant as a busboy, makes $8 an hour + around $50 a night in tips. As a 16 year old, that is damn good money. Sure, you do have to work a bit and keep up with rushes, but if you're going to spend hours working anyway, why not get a job that is both demanding and rewarding? |

Yeah, it's not that weird... just kind of eerie. Obviously Myspace is very big, a large percentage of kids (heck, even adults) have their own page, so any accidents involving teens are more than likely going to be teens with a myspace.
