| "What!?" He widened his eyes when another Zekt came rushing at him. He quickly recovered from the shock just in time to attack with, "Tenshouha!" He punched the ground, and a pillar of light shot down and hit him all the way from space. If the second Zekt didn't move away in time, he'll be damaged just trying to attack Zero while he was bathed in this pillar of light.
"The name's Zero! S Class EXE Maverick Hunter of the 0th Special Unit! I don't know if I can classify you as a renegade Maverick, or just some punk wanting to pick a fight, but fight first, questions later..." Far from the battle near a couple of desert trees on a large sand dune, Forte, Marino, and ForteZero were watching this fight happen, while David took shelter in the shady areas of the trees. "Damn it! I still can't contact HQ!" David swore. "I thought your Command Armor was busted?" ForteZero asked. "It is... I just can't summon up the entire armor, just the communicator arm armor..." David swore again and gave up. He pressed the pentagram on his belt and the armor on his left arm digitize and formatted back into the belt, before he got up and joined the others in watching the battle. "You think Zero has a chance?" Marino asked. "Hey, they don't call him the Crimson Hunter for nothing," Forte said with a smirk, "Whoever this guy is, Zero's gonna beat him." | Zero blocked the beam slash aimmed at him, as the pillar of light vanished. "Damn... it should of damaged him..." The saber's color changed to blue, as frost started pour out. He grinned evily.
“Hyouryuushou!” He performed a spinning uppercut slash, possibly taking this Zekt with him and spun around while dealing multiple ice-based slashes to him. When he finished (if the attack has hit or not), he landed on his feet away from his opponent. "Boy, Zero's doing pretty well," ForteZero said to no one in particular, until he noticed something. It looked like some sort of satellite. He shook his head, thinking it was nothing but the desert heat playing tricks on his eyes. Zero smirked as he put away his Z-Saber. "Chuutoryu -- Ten-Sword Style!" Zero crossed his arms in front of his chest and ten sword blades slid out from his fingers. This type of style has a dual-type of Sword and Breaking. Breaking means that it'll be able to damage opponents even if they have put up a stronge defense. Over at the sand dunes. "Wow... since when could Zero do that?" Marino asked. "Since he trained with this guy named GrandMan before the Battle Network Finals begun last year," David answered. "GrandMan... isn't his Operator Ed Takashi?" Forte asked. "Yeah. Ed Takashi is an Official Net-Battler, A-License still." |

| So... a realistic hologram... Zero only grinned. "SlashMan Battlechip!" His blades on his fingers grew longer, and became slightly curved, like Muramasa's. He then spun around rapidly until he became a tornado, and spun towards the real Zekt.
"Wait! That's one of SlashMan's abilities!" Forte exclaimed. "Now I remember! Chuutoryu has the ability to use the elements of Sword type Battlechips, plus those from Sword type Navi Battlechips... That's how Zero is able to use SlashMan's Slash Tornado." Up high over the battle, Slur was watching the fight... but she had her eye on Zekt. "Hmm... so, that's Zekt." The female diva of space smirked, before she flew through a cosmic warp, and vanished. |

| Seeing as the advance failed, Zero backed away before slowing to a stop. However, he was struck hard in the back by the fake Zekt's Scythe Boomerang (guessing that could be a type of attack name).
Zero growled. "So, like to play rough then? Fine, let's play rough!" He dashed towards the same target once more, ready to slash his scythe to bits with his finger blades, while at the same time aimming to land in a few slashes for soem decent damage. "Should we intervere?" Forte asked. "No... let Zero take care of this... hey wait a minute! Where'd you get that popcorn from!?" David shouted. Forte blinked. "Oh." he was holding a bucket of buttered popcorn, munching on it, "this? Had it just a few seconds ago." The three of them glared at Forte. "Get your own..." |

Zero saw this paritcular move, and at the last second moved out of the way. He growled, before ripping out the Z-Saber. “Juuhazan!” He smirked and delivered a heavy downward slash that could pierce through Zekt's armor. Of course, whenever that has hit target or not, he dashed away from the other attack coming from the other Zekt. Damn, his moves are somewhat similar to Red's... Hmm, if I can study on this dude's attack patterns I could possibly find a flaw and use it to my advantage. Zero has by now implemented some distance from the two, and he held his saber into a defensive pose, the blades on his fingers vanishing. "Alright... I want to see what you can really do Zekt." |

“Rekkyoudan!” The former virus’ sword immediately turned orange and he swung it around, and surprisenly, reflected the flying scythe back towards its source. So... that clone of his isn't physicaly linked the Zekt. That explains how I couldn't damage that mechaniloid clone. There here must be something out here that's projecting such a realistic and physical hologram. But, what could it be... “Raikousen!” Zero dashed toward his opponent and hopefully with strike him (the real Zekt) with an electrified Z-Saber. Of course during the dash, he's turned invisible so he can't be tracked easily, not even by looking at the sand for his trace path. Back with the others... "You guys..." Forte only grumbled as his only source of food was shared up equally among the other three. Of course, that didn't help about the large bump on his head, which was bandaged up, "You'd had to be forceful did you Marino?" "Want another smack at the head?" she asked. Forte shut his mouth up. His brother ForteZero, only sweatdropped. "I wonder why Zero didn't notice the probe that reploid sent out earlier?" David muttered. The other three stared at him. "You guys didn't noticed? When he showed up, he had released some sort of probe-like device into the desert air. It's more likely what's projecting that clone of that one reploid fighter." "Hmph, and I bet you could pick out the winning lotto numbers," Forte joked, which recieved a hit to the head by David. |

| Got you now! He immediatly halted off his advance with Raikousen, and swung his saber, unleashing an energy wave, "Sonic Boom!" before jumping high into the air away from the fake Zekt's lunge with the scythes. Two Sonic Booms, one aimed at the fake mechaniloid clone, the other rushing towards the other 'roid.
He then noticed something hovering in the air as he landed back at his spot where he dashed from. It looked like some sort of probe like device, similar to a Satellite virus likely. He didn't know if it was the hot desert sun playing tricks on his optic sensors, or if it was really there, but he couldn't take any chances. "So that's it..." He smirked, and unleashed a Sonic Boom towards the probe he spotted. A mirage maybe is what he attacked? David grinned mentaly. Now you're getting his pattern Zero... beat him and win us some Special Weapon data. "What's Zero aiming at with that third Sonic Boom?" ForteZero asked, currently twirling in his hands a double-bladed beam scythe similar to Red's weapon -- the R Scythe, with both blades currently deactivated. "Hey brother, if you're gonna spin that rod in your hands do it away from us," David told his Navi. The White Shadow only narrows his eyes at David. |

| The Crimson Hunter brought his saber up, and managed to block the weapon from cleaving through him. Shit! So it was a mirage... but he said "such an easy trick"... so there must be something out there that's projecting this mechaniloid image.
He tried to aim a kick, and if sucessful, he'll then punch it in the face to stun it, then dash away to get some distance. If that kick doesn't work, the punch doesn't happen, and he'll still remain in that spot holding off this fake. * * * "Layer, Palette, have you managed to locate David or the others yet?" "No Alia," Palette said, "even if Dave's communicator arm was still functional, we can't find the team." "It must be because there are still enemy forces out there, a possibly jamming signal, or something that I cannot explain," Layer explained. Alia only nodded. "We know that the last place we sent them to was at this vast desert region to take out a possible virus threat and some enemy Navis using Copyroid technology. What if I was teleported there?" "Not possible ma'am. Even if we did send you there using the Transerver System, you'd probably end out miles away from them, and be lost out there in that desert region. It's best if you remained here." "But, you know that I HATE waiting to see if my husband and the others are okay or not!" Alia cried to Layer. The younger blond sighed. "Alia, just keep a cool head. David will be alright. I mean, you've seen him take out Shadow multiple times each time that bastard comes back to life." "You're right Palette... but, still..." |

| "You don't think I'm serious enough Zekt?" Zero said, a buster raised and aimed at his head from behind. He then fired several buster shots before dashing behind a large sand dune.
The Zero that the copy had locked with vanished in a puff of gray smoke. "JUST... so you know, what I used earlier before I "blocked" your copy was AntiDamage." David smirked. "That was impressive, using that Battlechip power without letting your opponent know. Sneaky indeed. AntiDamage blocks what damage Zero would of recieved, and can can appear behind an opponent, or in the sky to launch three large shurikens to damage the opponent with. Of course, an alternate way of using that ninjutsu skill which is known as Kawamiri is to get around the opponent with fast speed to launch an indirect attack, which he just did a few seconds ago..." "Similar to what Shun did when he fought with Enzan and Blues during the Den 500 on the first college year," ForteZero realized. "Heh, so Zero's sneaky. Big deal... but he keeps that up, I'm sure his ass will get kicked." Marino smacked him over the head. "Don't joke around Forte." |

| "That is IF you managed to scrap me," Zero taunted, launching a few buster shots once he reached around before ripping out hsi saber once more, and dashes, ready to slash.
"Damn... I guess the fight's gonna get intense now," Forte said, a hint of excitement in his voice. A flash of light illuminating from behind them got the three to turn around. "Heh... I guess the auto-recovery system's finished. Listen guys, if Zero is in deep shit, THEN we intervene, got it?" David asked, clad in his Command Armor. "Yes sir." |

| He didn't stop there, as a red aura started to flare up around him. An old image of the "Zero Virus" appeared behind him as a faint phantasm.
"Zero Phantom..." he whispered, before the aura flared up, and a wave of ghostly images of Zero's old virus form dashed towards Zekt, each ready to deal in a slash before vanishing. This type of attack is hard to dodge, so the only basic way to even prepare against this is a VERY good defense... if Zekt can manage to uphold against twenty separate hits... With the other four, they were definately surprised at this outcome. |

| HYPER MODE
Zero stood still as a black barrier of darkness surrounds him. It crackles with electricity as he slowly makes his transformation. Demonic wings sprouted from his back, and the helmet fins became bat wings. His fingers gained a clawed look. Long pale white hair flowed out the back of his helmet, as his torso armor morphed until it resembled Forte's Gospel Soul Armor, same with his leg armor. His wings had computer chip like designs on them, the joints a curved claw. The barrier sparked a few times before it vanished. He opened his eyes, which were now red, as he gained blood red streaks under his eyes, and floated in the air as he spread out his new apendages. Hyper Mode - Absolute Zero |

| Zero grined manicaly, as he swept his arm in front, unleashing a blast of extreamly cold wind and snow towards Zekt. Not an attack, but more like.... a taunt.
"Come get some..." He then flew high above the ground, the wind starting to pick up. |

"No... not yet..." David hissed at him. Forte only growled, but held back, "Hide what creep? The fact that Zero used to be the Zero Virus before he was reformated?" David shouted towards Zekt. Zero grinned before catching the scythe, but not without taking damage from getting scratched by one of the blades. What to do with Zekt's weapon, break it, or keep it? After weighing the obvious choices, he launched it away, and shot it with a blast of cold wind, incasing it in a chunk of solid ice. |
