| Spider grinned. As soon as he slashed forward, Mewquas did managed to deal a minor slash over Spider, but the card's remained. What Mewquas attacked through was Spider's Counter Card.
[Counter] Immediatly, the energy cards flashed and retaliated by floating higher, before they were launched towards Mewquas. If he isn't careful, Counter Card will deal in a five-hit damage range of whatever damage Spider recieved. The card playing bounty hunter leapt away, and discarded two cards from his hand, before drawing out two more. "Now try a Straight!" Spider held out five cards, which were three through to seven, and threw them forward in a machinegun-like manner, before he dashed away to implent soem distance between his opponent and himself. The cards may be cardboard, but they can deal in pretty good damage if Mewquas isn't careful... "Hey Spider, you sure you don't need any help?" Zekk asked, watching the battle via the PET link window. "If it looks like I'm in trouble, then yes." Zekk shrugged his shoulders. * * * "Spider doing well?" David asked the man. "Yeah, he's already launched a counter-attack with using Counter Card, then he managed to pull off a Straight hand and attacked with it. I say he's doing well." "Ohh, okay then." David looked at his hand before looking at Zekk, "Straight." Zekk put his cards down. They were a Royal Flush. "Ahh damn it!" David tossed his cards into the air before Zekk snatched the 500 Zenny bet. "Two out of three?" David looked at him, and smiled evily. "You're on!" |

| The latest update on the General is slightly funny for me. You can't kill a boo or harm it unless it's in its solid form, which proves how dimwitted he is...
So, I'm guessing the next visor Kirby uses somehow gets them in some major trouble. |

| OOC: Anyone can join if they want to... just post away. This will show the mystery female Navi that hidden herself during a Sim-Battle between Dracoon and Dynamo.EXE.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- A rock theme intro begins to play, the black screen marked with an X. The music fully starts up as Sonance and Forte are seen in side views before it fades to black. It switches to a view of the earth from space, as the logo "Sonance - Of Souls and NetNavis" is displayed, and sheens to a metallic form. The music intensifys before David shows his face, backs up, aims, and shoots at the audience. Zero is seen running at the screen before quickly switched to the side view. He then takes out his saber and slashes at the screen, as it switches to view of Sonance. She smiles as she stands over flame images of the Maverick Hunters, Schwa, Emily the Zraku, and his friends in another large flame image, then Slur in the final one. She clenches her fist tightly, and grins. There's a quick view of David and Alia before a flaming mansion that was burning to the ground, sadness in their eyes. GutsMan is running around, chasing after Rush before he trips and falls flat on his face. RockMan and friends sweatdrop and smile. Marino appears into view and Spider zooms behind the female ninja. Marino talks to the bounty hunter and smiles, and Spider smiles back, holding the Ace of Hearts in between his index and middle fingers. Two swords (one energy, one metal coated in etheral energy) clash together twice, before we see Forte and Schwa slash at eachother again, their weapons locked in place. Schwa has a confinent smirk plastered on his face, eyes hiddne behind the blindfold, and Forte returns to Schwa an honor-bound smile. They then resume combat, and scene changes to David as he jumps into the night air shooting thrice with his buster. David then charges his buster, before he brings it out in front, and launches a charged shot, as it repeated from below view, then above view. Alia appears in screen as she prays before she looks up and smiles, two more times is a close-up to her face, before Zero appears on screen, smiling. Forte has his back turned at the screen looking off-screen, while ForteZero looks at the screen smiling. Marino and Spider are laid back-to-back. He has the Joker card in betwene his index and middle fingers, and Marino has her arms crossed over her chest. David is leaning back against an invisible wall, hands in his pockets, eyes closed, with a smile over his lips. We then see a collection of the entire gang as the music intro fades away. David and Alia embracing one another, with Forte trapping his younger brother in a headlock beside them. Zero, Marino, and Spider appear on the other side of the two humans in basic poses. The screen shrinks for more room as RockMan and friends and their Operators appear behind the Hunters. Beside Forte, Schwa appears facing teh screen smiling, his hand in a waving gesture, with Emily the Zraku standing behind the Psiwarrior in a faint image form. Allaura has her hands clasped together over her chest, a warm smile on her lips, with Kaz floating overhead Schwa looks like he's ready to attack. Next to Allaura is Sensae, a smile plastered on the old man's face. Slur is sitting on a moon looking down on Schwa and Forte, flashing a devilish grin in the far upper-left corner. Shadow appears behind the Maverick Hunters and their friends, grinning evily, eyes glowing eerily. And in the remaining space, is Sonance. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Sonance - Of Souls and NetNavis... There was giggling echoing through the pitch black darkness, as it seemed to come from everywhere, yet at the same time nowhere. "Redips, is such a fool... thinking he can change the world with using the original source of the Crest of Arcadia. It's that thirst for power that killed him. Now that David and his wife have moved to Yumland, I can take them down before going after RockMan and Hikari Netto..." The dark figure giggled, darkness shrouding her. "But first... I'll have to take care of those who can foil my plans... including Forte." * * * "Yeah, later Mitani." The metal door slid open and David stepped into his and his wife's living quarters, and closed it. He's a bit taller now, wearing dark jean shorts and a unzipped black vest overtop a black mesh sleeveless shirt. His hair was trimmed back more, but he still has those two long strands of blue hair between his eyes. He has a bit of light facial hair covering his face, but shaving it every single day has kept it from not growing thick... as Tohru would put it, his face is as smooth as a block of ice. He sighed as he tossed his bookbag full of books over to the hanging metal hook on the left wall next to the large desks, kicked off his shoes and walked up to a capsule containing his armor. He quickly analyzed the diagnostics so far with the upgrade, and noticed the new upgrades are only 90% completed. "Damn, I'd thought this would have been done by the time I returned from class..." Four months ago, a week following the ending of the Battle Network Finals, Saiba has unleashed a mass army of Pantheons in the real world, and all across the cyber world. The Maverick Hunter NetNavis took care of the online threat with help from Red Alert, the Officials, and the Net Agents. The Crossfusion Team -- R RockMan, R Blues, R SearchMan, R Axl, R Roll, R Lumine, R NeedleMan, R GyroMan, R MagnetMan, R NapalmMan, R TomahawkMan, R Medi, R KnightMan, R ShadowMan, and R Colonel -- took care of the ones in the real world. Of course, during the chaos the bastard who would never stay dead (Shadow) showed up, but David, ForteZero, Zero, Forte, and Marino deleted him again for the fourth time... After Saiba's location was pin-pointed with help from Meijin-san and Dr. Hikari, Netto, Meiru, Enzan, Noah, Laika, and Shun traveled to a war-torn country called Arcadia by helicopter, where the final five battles took place... "My armor's been pretty damage during the fight with Great Redips..." David closed his eyes as he sat down, thinking back to that battle high in space on a floating space building after Saiba, his crew, and his one-eyed Navi army were dealt with. FLASHBACK - Four months ago... Great Redips laughed evilly, as he stood superior against David, ForteZero, Forte, Zero, and Marino. They were all panting heavily, drained of their energy. The white armored giant was towering over them, as his replaced icon shined brightly on his lower chest. The image that has emblazoned Redips' old icon was a black circle, with a shining red diamond in the center with four shimmering white wings. "Weaklings... do you feel it? The ultimate power; the Power of Creation!" Redips laughed more, insanely like. David grunted as he tried to get up. "To me the very Earth is nothing but a tiny speck. And with the power coursing through me I shall rule over the human race, and destroy all who oppose me... starting with you Maverick Hunters." "Not if we have anything to say about it..." David slowly got as he charged his buster. Redips held out his large left hand as energy charged into it before shooting at David. The attack slammed hard, damaging parts of the armor as he smacked down into the cold metal ground. "Bow down feeble subjects..." Zero then looked up as he saw a shadow fly up. "Huh..." Everyone slowly looked up as Leviathan appeared on top of Redips' left shoulder, next to the crystalline object that had the Crest of Arcadia emblazoned on its surface. She grasped onto it tightly, and pulled with all her might, but it wouldn't budge an inch. "Hmm..." Redips looked at her, puzzled, "What do you think you're doing?" She ignored him as she tried again. "You... let go." He fired an energy beam at Leviathan, which blasted a part of her armor off. She screamed loudly as she collapsed onto the ground, sparking up, holding onto the large crystal object in her arms. Redips grew angry as he lowered his hands over her. "Leviathan..." ForteZero slowly got up from the ground. "Now's our chance..." Zero said as he got up. "REDIPS!" David shouted. He grunted as everyone slowly rose to their feet. David brought back his buster before aiming forward at Redips, who looked at them. "Charge Shot!!" END FLASHBACK "That blow seriously damaged one of the vital programs, but thankfully it lasted long enough to re-enter through the emergency hatch... after Leviathan sacrificed her life to destroy the remaining existence of the Crest of Arcadia..." He then frowned again, as another flood of memories entered his mind, though it was a sad one. He still felt bad that ForteZero lost the person he truly loved. He brushed that memory aside as he got up, only to sit back down in another seat next to his and Alia's PC. A red thin beam of light shot out of ForteZero's PET, before he drew a holo-window screen before him over his PET's screen. "ForteZero? You hear me?" * * * The crystal cross on his helmet flashed briefly before he looked up. "Yeah, what is it David?" "Well... we need to have to talk about using one of the Ride Chasers for when I leave to go to class..." The Inuyasha-voiced Navi chuckled. "Hey, it's not my fault that you decided to do a full upgrade on the Command Armor." David narrowed his eyes and glared. "Shut-up. I can drive well, but I'm used to just warping to my destination via the Command Armor." ForteZero laughed, "Besides... you need to get your ass back to HQ. We have the ceremonies to attend to, regarding the NetNavi trainees and few of their Net-op's becoming official Maverick Hunters." "Oh yeah... I forgot about that." "And knowing Forte, he won't show up so I won't bother him much about it. Log out." In the room, David pressed the icon on the PET. ForteZero smirked to himself before his body morphed into the word LOG OUT. FORTEZERO LOGGING OUT Elsewhere... on the tallest structure of Sim Battle City, Forte stood by himself near the edge. Schwa has finally returned, and he's battled in a rematch. He was glad that Schwa has returned, cause now he had a sparring partner whenever he needed someone to battle. "Schwa, you've definately gotten much more powerful... now hopefully we can meet on neutral grounds so you can help me take down my female clone." Forte turned around and logged out. FORTE LOGGING OUT * * * Sonance was keeping an eye on something... or rather, someone. There were several windows displayed before her, which circled her constantly. A few of them were recognizable: Schwa the Psi Warrior, with stats on him. Another was Sky and Bel, then there's Kirbynite, Dracoon, Grey, Zap, Teddylot... "Hmm... most of these people Forte know. I know of the relationship between Schwa and Forte... the Living Assets that the Dark Messiah absorbed as a result of stealing Alpha Psibeam from the robed warrior through the Get Ability Program, but the others..." She already knew of Dracoon, as she witnessed Dracoon beating up Dynamo quickly at Sim-Battle City through the shadows. Kirbynite was the Dreamlander of Neo Grape Gardens, and the one who announced about the Tag Team Tournament. Grey is a human who is as strange as Dynamo is... well... that’s what she thinks of him. The others however she has no information on. “No matter human, Navi, reploid, or whatever... everyone has darkness in their hearts. I’ll be the one that draws the darkness from them, which will be their own downfall...” She smiled to herself, as she kept her eyes on each one of them. | "Damn!" Spider couldn't easily dodge it, so he tilted down a little as he grabbed the rim of his hat. Just as the attack hit him, it didn't fully damage him, as an invisible crystalline barrier suddenly materialized in front of Spider. The attack still hit their mark, but the barrier that appeared only briefly (which had vanished by now) has taken out some damage.
"Well, that was a good aim there. I'll admit it, you got what it takes to be a good fighter there." Spider stood back to full height before smiling. Spider quickly whipped out five cards, and looked at them. He couldn't believe that he'd drawn one lucky hand. Five cards ranging from ten all the way up to ace flew towards Mewquas, all spades. Spider grinned and tipped his hat over his eyes. "Royal Flush." If Mewquas doesn't avoid it in time, they'll separate the mechaniloid legs from the upper knee joints. He could of used this hand to dela in damage, but first, he'll need to get rid of those mech legs... if they land in a sucessful hit. * * * "Zekk... are you cheating?" David asked. "Hell no. Unlike Spider, I never cheat." David narrowed his eyes before he grabbed his Magnum Revolver and pointed it at the man's head. Right away Zekk said, "Alrighty then, new hand?" David smirked as he grabbed the cards and shuffled them before dealing out his and Zekk's new hands. "Zekk, you do remember what happened last time between Spider and Marino right? When Netto and friends had just moved in a week before classes began last year?" FLASHBACK “I should’ve KNOWN you were cheating Spider!” Marino shouted as she choked the poor card player. Outside, Netto, Meiru, and Shun looked at each other, thinking they heard the name Spider being shouted out by Marino. “Aggh! I’m telling you…I never cheat…” “Oh? Then explain the ace up your sleeve cheater!” She choked him harder at the thought of losing all her money to a cheater! Marino found the ace in his sleeve when he raked in the third ante and when she noticed the well concealed card, she hit the ceiling. “Give me MY money back!” “No…” Spider croaked, though it held the same vigor as Marino’s. “No one EVER cheats Marino out of her prize! Especially not some low life scum card playing mercenary!” Spider attempted to reply but his windpipe got cut off, “We can do this the easy way or the hard way bub! It’s your choice!” “Marino, perhaps you should let him go,” ForteZero suggested. “NOT UNTIL THIS CHEATER GIVES ME BACK MY MONEY!” "Hey Forte... Zero... help... mee...." Spider croaked out. ForteZero looked at Marino, who was glaring daggers at him, which said 'help him and die'. "I'd rather not," ForteZero said as he backed away. END FLASHBACK "Oh yeah..." Zekk sweatdropped before dealing in a 1200 Zenny bet, and David raised it by 7000. David discarded two cards and drew in two from the deck, and Zekk tossed out three, drew in three to replace. "Full House." "Royal Flush!" David shouted. Zekk got up and looked at his hand before sitting bakc down groaning. David was snickering as he snatched the zenny off the table. |

| Spider swore at this little fact. The little guy is more resourceful than he thought. Almost like Vile.EXE and one of his Ride Armors. He quickly reacted by dodging the scratch, then the weapon when it arced through the air, returning to Mewquas.
"Damn... Zekk? You hear me?" * * * "You can't win five times in a row," the man said. Once David revealed his hand, Zekk just tossed his hand into the air as the cards floated down to the carpet. David grinned as he racked up his fifth ante. "What is it Spider?" Zekk asked as his face was displayed on a PET window screen behind the card playing mercenary. * * * "Little help would be nice?" he asked. "Fine... Boomer3 Battlechip in, triple download! Program Advance!" Spider fused the three chips as his right arm morphed into a boomerang launcher. "PitRang3!" He drew back his arm and launched a multitude of metal boomerangs at Mewquas. They'll do plently of damage if they hit. "Gonna keep playing or you quit?" "I quit. Not gonna lose all of my money to you," Zekk said. David chuckled before he said his goodbyes and left the apartment. * * * Outside, just as David quickly transformed into his Command Armor, his wife Alia came through with a message through the Maverick Hunter radio frequency. "David, we need you back at HQ. There appears to be a virus uprising in Sharo's Net Areas." David sighed before he complied, and teleported away in a blaze of dark blue electrical light. * * * "So, who is this guy?" Zekk asked his Navi. "I don't know, but he's resourceful in battle. He's good in long-range, but I'm unsure with his close-range combat. I may take a gamble at it." "Well, I'm ready with a Sword type chip if that occurs. For now, use this for some extra luck. Wildcard Battlechip in, download!" Zekk slid in the chip into his PET, and on the PET display screen was an image of the Ace of Clubs, Hearts, Spades, and Diamonds. Wildcard will improve Spider's luck 50%, which will determine the outcomes when he uses his Fortune Card attack. |

| "AntiSword Battlechip in, download!" Zekk slotted the chip in rather quick, and just before Mewquas' blade landed a hit, Spider stopped it by planting his two hands in front, and stopping the attack.
Right away, he'll push Mewquas away. His right arm morphed into a Sword as he slashed in front thrice, each slash unleashing a basic energy wave (a Sonic Boom of 100 HP set damage) traveling at him. As for the PitRang3 attack, it did do a return trip, but none of them hitting either battlers. Before reaching one foot near the gray mechaniloid or its friend(?), it dematerialized into bits of data before being broken apart, and vanishing. Spider smirked, seeing if his counter-move on the sword attack would connect or not as the weapon vanished off his arm. "That was a good move, I like this guy..." "Now's not the time to praise him, Spider." "Right." Spider decided to use his Fortune Card ability, as he drew five cards from his deck and looked at them without discarding anything, "Well, not the hand I wanted but... a Flush will work." He revealed the cards, which were all Spades of a non-matching order. He fused it into one single card before launching it forward. If it connects, Mewquas will become blind for only two turns. As for this Battlechip... I'll insert it without announcing it, Zekk thought to himself, inserting another Battlechip into the PET. It didn't fully register... atleast not yet. |

| Must be... I've had that same problem too. But what I did to prevent it from crapping up my hack was just create all of the BG tiles by hand instead of inserting one of those Map16BG files. | |||

| Community college and public colleges have different money spendings in different states. I live near campus grounds in a rented out house with several of my friends and girlfriend (Zero, Axl, Kate, Amelia, Alia...)
Of course, if you live near campus and you live in a rented out home, make sure your landlord doesn't rip you off. |
