Of course. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a super-secret forum. I'd tell you more, but even with the little piece of information I know, it would be saying too much. In fact, I'm probably already in shit for confirming its existance.

You have to set the palette there (in Lunar Magic) as well, too. It's only a matter of using the 16x16 Tile Map Editor properly and/or using Page Up/Page Down until you reach the proper palette. If you are refering to how to get it in YY-CHR, though, you must use the arrows next to the palettes to scroll to the proper place.
But if you want to get the colors directly from your ROM to Lunar Magic...well...that's a whole different ordeal. Try using a combination of MS Paint's eyedrop tool (on a screenshot of the area in question you wish to rip the palette from) and Lunar Magic's Palette Editor to make things look right. |

When his vision returned, Johnny found himself in a labratory. Although his vision wasn't quite clear, he saw intelligent monkies gloomily working at various computer terminals. Robots and extraterrestrials were seen working alongside them. Then, someone...or something entered the room. Was it human? No...something else...

Forget it! Let's just save the hostages, collect the keycards, set off the self-destruct sequence and get the hell out of here before it explodes!

Originally posted by Smallhacker Odd. So that's the whole story. Strangely, the EXACT same thing happened to me once before when fooling around with custom sprites. I used the "weak flying goomba" example sprite in one of the spots in [the sprite list] safe for use, and it had that fading to white glitch in the levels where I inserted it, and one other random one that did not have the sprite in it, much less had anything to do with it.. Fortunetly, I had learned from previous experiences to back up often. As for pinpointing the cause, if loading the level works in other (good) SNES emulators, it may be a ZSNES Bug. More likely, however, it is a combination of all three possible culprits that is causing the problem. (edited by asdf on 03-23-06 12:15 PM) |

Hmm...probably too obscure a joke for anyone to get (yes, it's a scat reference, but it's also a quote from something) I probably missed a part there, but no matter. The point remains the same. It's broken, but meh. (edited by asdf on 03-23-06 06:39 AM) (edited by asdf on 03-23-06 06:40 AM) (edited by asdf on 03-23-06 07:13 AM) |

I spent most of yesterday playing GTA:LCS. I will probably do the same today, although that might change depending on my mood.

I somehow doubt I would be able to get first every day for the remainder, Sky, much less keep you off the ACS. At least this month is turning out to be more exciting than previous months. I expect next month to be a lot more active, though, considering Alastor gets back into gear then. Otherwise, it may very well be a repeat of this month.

Originally posted by Raccoon Sam I believe there was someone who already ripped that. It was probably more than one person, however. In any case, I swear that I have seen that in a hack, or at least in a screenshot of a hack before. (edited by asdf on 03-23-06 08:42 AM) |

We don't need any keys, we just need keycards! A blue one, a yellow one, and a red one! And in THAT order! We don't get to set off the self-destruct sequence until we have all three, unless we are on the first or second level! And I believe we are on the sixth level!

Try this thread on the archive of the old board out for starters. You might also find stuff here. A good chunk of it is RAM addresses, but there are ROM addresses in there for you to use. (edited by asdf on 03-23-06 09:49 AM) (edited by asdf on 03-23-06 09:50 AM) |

Are you sure you're inserting the GFX, and not the ExGFX? If that's not the case, then try closing Lunar Magic and re-opening it (and your hack). Sometimes, you have to do that before it'll show up.

Originally posted by Xeruss Yes, that's what he is doing, and it is very possible to change the normal animations. Well, if those two methods didn't work, my only other guess is that somehow, you forgot to actually save the file with the new tiles. Else, you should double and triple check everything to see if you're doing it right, and describe your EXACT process to us, step by step, from program to program. |

Very impressive! My only complaint with the foreground so far, is the pipes. They just look...unusual. The same applies to the arrow sign.
