Melting is an understatement. If you had the connection speed and the hard drive to download the entire internet, the universe would implode. It wouldn't be such a bad idea to begin with, though. I mean, after all, the entire internet does include user databases and other private stuff. And I'm sure we all know what we could do if we gained access to them, even if they're encrypted.

Okay then, let's see if we can figure out said order. I've gotten close a few times, but I've always seemed to have problems with the ball. Here's what I did (if I remember correctly)
Pot Man Water Trees Tube Bone Big Plant Springy Water Collectors Ball Hmm...any ideas? |

Not necessarily. Considering you have a big enough hard drive and a download speed that can download faster than the internet expands, you would eventually download everything static. Then you simply would have to check for updates periodically (IE: forums) and you'd be home free.
Your post reminded me of a Bash quote, though. This one. |

I think at around 2AM PST/5AM EST this morning. At least, that's when I first noticed it showing up. That stupid retarded star needs to die permanently. (edited by asdf on 03-14-06 09:46 PM) |

Most excellent. I just uploaded the two ExGFX files that are going to be involved as examples in my ExGFX Tutorial (SMB2J Graphics and Ocean Background). I'll see if I can get any other old ExGFX files I may still have from the old ExGFX site back. I'll probably have to wait for online documents to be implemented before I can finish it though. The ExGFX section's opening might have motivated me to finish it quickly, though.
EDIT: Yes, I believe that did the trick. I finished the screenshot ripping section yesterday. (edited by asdf on 03-15-06 08:57 AM) |

Originally posted by Alastor the Stylish Meh, the first one wasn't that repetitive due to the replay value. However, I find that many of the other ones are severly lacking in the replay value department. It's just not as fun after the first time. I suppose you can say that they're just big on hot gas (story) and small on gameplay. Plus the series is starting to get rather weak. And I mean that in both the common and a slang definition. I mean, in comparison, the main character of FFXII makes Tidus look manly. Seriously, what were they thinking when they made that guy? It's Final Fantasy, not Metro Fantasy. Originally posted by Colin Famitsu is a very biased magazine in my opinion. The only one I agree that should have gotten a perfect score is OoT. Soul Caliber and The Wind Waker should be high, but not perfect. I never played Vagrant Story or Nintendogs, but I know that the latter doesn't deserve to be on there. Granted, the interactivity is amazing, but in my opinion, it's pretty much just Tamagotchi/Giga Pets on steroids. In fact, if you look at their reader top 100 list, it is vastly different from their scores. (in other words, I'm saying that a game's greatness should be based on public opinion, not private opinion) |

I disagree, Arthus. The pawns look all right to me, although they could use a little more depth and some black pawns. The background in the third screenshot looks slightly odd though. Other than that, I see nothing wrong. Good work, Dr. Mario.

Grow Cube solution...
Spoiler:
Man Water Seeds Pot Tunnel Fire Bowl Bone Springs Ball I tried the Grow Sphere thing (GROW ver.3), and found it quite odd. Think Grow Cube, only with robots and stuff. |

Nice bump you've got there. And 2-2 isn't that hard. You just aren't trying hard enough, and/or for some reason, your keyboard layout is hindering your gameplay.

Good to hear that revisions are going to be taking place soon. To be honest, I feel as if the Wiki is dying out. The recent changes page proves is. Most of the forum pages have been my handiwork. We need to find a way to promote this thing again...

I know what you mean, Xkeeper. Minus the full volume part. One song in particular that is fun to play at a very fast speed is Dragonforce - Fury of the Storm. It's one of those things that just can't be described in words. You have to try it yourself to see it.

Originally posted by Skydude That's how Alastor always posted, though. If anything, he has settled back into his usual rate of posting. As for the Story Forum, I doubt it'll be able to maintain the rate of posts it has now unless more interest is generated gradually. On a side note...god, look at me. Posting at 5:30 in the morning. Interesting. What kind of ideas are you looking for, however? I assume you mean what style of graphics to use. I suggest a design style similar to Hyrule Castle in Zelda 3 for the outside areas (IE: Castle Courtyard, Towers). For the actual graphics themselves, you should use brick wall graphics of sorts for the walls. Inside the actual castle itself, you could use the natural style in Super Mario World with a few twists. One idea that crossed my mind was using a style of wall similar to the basement of SM64's castle for one of the overworlds. To wrap it up, I'd say that you should try looking at many games with castles and see if you can pull inspiration from there.

Ah, palettes? You should mainly use grays for the walls, with some variation in color for some of them depending on the situation (IE: Blueish in a water section). The ground section will vary (IE: red carpets, stone floors). For outside, the grass in the courtyard should be a nice, cool green and lined with flowers or something to make it colorful. |
