I personally prefer homemade tacos to Taco Bell. I tried Taco Bell once, hated it. I'm more of a fan of Burger King when it comes to fast food chains, anyhow.

I want to know what would happen if you were to delete somebody's nonexistance. Would they spontaniously exist or something?

Originally posted by Falcon Mk-II This man, he speaks the truth. Take the overworld screenshot for example. It has a nice, gloomy feel to it, as if everything is rotting. Same goes for the wood parts. Of course, stuff like the bizarre-looking Thowmps and spiked logs are not good. "airship ruin 1", for example, just has a terrible palette and background. It needs a lot of work, but you're on the right track. |

Dude...you have to load the ExGFX or GFX files. Loading the SMW ROM isn't going to be much of a help, seeing as how the graphics are compressed. When you do load the proper file, be sure to set it to SNES 4bpp mode as mentioned above. (edited by asdf on 03-05-06 11:10 PM) |

Colin, I think it's an issue with the boards. Blame that goddamned smilie, screwing with the link (not to mention a lot of other stuff, such as MK:SC). This version of the link should work. :P (edited by asdf on 03-05-06 11:21 PM) |

Glad to see you got that taken care of, X. And NO, whatever you do, do NOT make the timers self-destruct or disable after they have finished. You should make sure you're around to get rid of them manually. Please! This is for our sake. (edited by asdf on 03-05-06 11:24 PM) |

Wow, these new screenshots are amazing! I love Green Hill's new palette, it makes it seem like a sunset in Autumn. Keep this up. One question though - whatever happened to using Azure Lake Zone's tiles in the place of Green Hill's original tiles? Just curious.

I personally would like to try the SNES pad on my computer. I have never gotten the chance to do so, however. I did try a Gravis controller once while visiting my cousin, though.

I know what you mean, Rydain. Nowadays, I cannot stand to eat Cheese Toast, Peanut Butter Toast, and so on. It makes me feel queasy. Same thing applies to cereal, only it extends to my gut. In fact, the only thing I like on toast now is Tuna, and you shouldn't have that all the time.

Damn! Hacking Mario Kart 64? That's incredible! One question, how long did it take you to do this? Because wow. Just. Wow.

No to all three questions, emcee. HyperHacker, I did that, and it gave a report that part of the computer might be failing. But I suppose Memtest86 should give me the answers I'll need directly. Otherwise, I suppose I'll have to have it repaired. (edited by asdf on 03-05-06 11:58 PM) |

In addition, I am working on an ExGFX Tutorial. A step-by-step one intended to guide you through the process of ExGFX using example files and stuff. It'll be out when it's out. It's halfway done, I'll be explaining just about everything there is to ExGFX. In my own words. Complete with pictures. No, seriously. Although part of the tutorial involves pre-made graphics (IE: ExGFX Workshop), so even if I do finish it quickly, I'll still have to wait for the ExGFX section on SMW Central to come up.
EDIT: Check my profile for the progress. (edited by asdf on 03-06-06 02:20 AM) (edited by asdf on 03-06-06 02:21 AM) |

Friendship?
Friendship??!?! I heard that Friendships and Babilities were introduced in Mortal Kombat to mock those who said that the Fatalities were too violent. I forgot where I heard this, though. |

Or better yet, don't use AVG at all. Use a better virus scanner that isn't a seemingly paranoid program. I personally use McAfee as my virus detector.

I was busy yesterday, so that's why I couldn't post. Hopefully, I'll make a comeback today.
By the way, the internet fad of giving people cookies needs to die. Seriously. |

Personally, I like SMB3's NES music more than the All-Star version's music (the most notable case being the hilly level's music). If All-Star's music was more true instrumental-wise to the NES version of SMB3, then it would be better. However, that is not the case. One of the things I see wrong with SMW's music is that they all have the same base tune. Another problem is that they have no drum effects unless you are on Yoshi, which even then leaves the drums fairly bland (except in the overworld areas where there are drums, where they are great). Compare those tapping-esque noises with something like the drum in the Airship music from All-Stars SMB3. (edited by asdf on 03-07-06 12:42 AM) |

Great scott! Those sprites are just...incredible! They have a cartoony feel to them, and the colors are a lot nicer too. Keep this up! |
