Originally posted by Riku Meh, there are tools on the computer to do stuff like that, although it wouldn't be a half-bad idea. I still want that flyswatter game to be in there and better than ever, though. EDIT: Come to think about it, it'd be awesome if the flyswatter game became a shooting game. You could use the remote as a gun of sorts. (edited by asdf on 02-15-06 10:19 PM) |

Okay, I accept your challenge. So are Aces high or low?

Yes to both questions. For the former, either use the trick to use Reznor in a normal level, or edit the palettes manually. However, nobody has had the nerve to release the information on the diagonal bullet spawning routine.

No problem. As for people not sharing their secrets, they're just insecure. They're worried that somebody will use their precious hacks in their hack, and make a better hack with said improvements. They want their special code to be exclusive to their hack in order for it to be considered better. What they don't take into consideration, is this. Anyone who would want to have their secrets [to make a better hack with] would either be too stupid/not worthy enough to make a good hack in the first place, respectful enough to ask nicely for them and give credit where it is due, or smart enough to help themselves. Ever wonder what happens when you microwave a Furby? Well, this video gives a pretty good example. That's all I'm saying, just watch the video (and be sure you go to the bathroom first) (edited by asdf on 02-16-06 03:26 AM) |

#Who-Gives-A-Damn. Don't use the same base of a level twice in a row. It's fine when they're split apart, but having 6 overworld desert levels that take place at sunset thrown at you in one world in a row...no. Look at the original for example. Let's use Chocolate Island as an example world.
Chocolate Island 1: Grassy level. Has rhinos. Chocolate Ghost House: Ghost house; much different from previous ghost houses thanks to Fishin' Boo and moving holes. Chocolate Island 2: Unique rocky-palletted level with many paths. Chocolate Island 3: Mushroom-Top level with roating platforms. Chocolate Fortress: Brown Castle with mud. Chocolate Island 4: Cave level with mud. Chocolate Island 5: Another grassy level with enemies in blocks Castle #6: Castle with crushers See how the themes vary differently? A while of the same type of level gets repetitive after a while, so keep things interesting! (edited by asdf on 02-17-06 02:19 PM) |

No. It's just not worth it, and most comments on a user can be posted publicly or sent via PM anyhow. As for determining who is good and who is not...their intelligence can usually show that.

I think what he meant was changing the palette a tile users in the Map16 editor. And that's a yes.

So...how does God restart his computer with his keyboard if it crashes? There is no ALT key...
And Ninja Pirates/Pirate Ninjas for the win. |

AIM AT THE EYES OF GOHMA. IF YOU GO IN THE DIRECTION OF THE ARROW. Yes...I rather like that last one. It doesn't tell you what happens if you "go in the direction of the arrow". (edited by asdf on 02-16-06 11:06 PM) |
