That would be why there would be a specific forum for that kind of stuff. Anybody asking for it outside of that forum would receive just as harsh a punishment as they do now.

Or maybe we could just obey the law. Even if the law sucks. Besides, you do bring up a good point about them joining just to request warez. If anybody wants to be a good pirate software-wise, they have to know where to find cracks and stuff themselves.

ROM Hustler does that too. But, if a random n00b does that relabeling trick, the real creator of the hack is likely to step forth. Failing that, we could always look at the hack archive here. But I must admit, it'd be fun to see a n00b make a fool of himself this way.

Well, judging by the intensity of the situation, I suspect it has something to do with a certain member. My best guess would be Wurl, but I'm not sure. But trust me, I've probably seen worse.

Well, I do believe that this is a completely different matter, DarkSlaya. Because of his past history and the level of secrecy surrounding this, I suspect that you guys are having an arguement on the mod boards over whether or not to ban him (Trapster). He probably did something recently that caused you to rethink your position on him (such as helping Keiko). Of course, it probably got out of hand in a hurry, what with all the varying opinions here

Very strange, 182077607309.34. Also, that sound file just insane. I recogonized small sections of it, but other than that, it was all completely new to me. What's with the battle music suddenly going in there, though? I don't think I've ever had that happen on me.

Dark Cemetary sounds an awful lot like a redux of that one level in Luccara. Chocodes sounds pretty interesting. It sounds as though it's a souped-up version of Chocolate Island, but I may be wrong. Blaze Cavern is what really caught my eye, though. It's probably going to be nothing more than a Volcano, but I love those kinds of worlds.

Wow. Just. Wow. This reminds me of a time on another message board, where a user had a "backfire script" put on them, that caused any moderator or administrator attempting to suspend them to be suspended instead. Of course, the situation was completely different. The user in question was liked throughout the community, and the moderator was disgruntled and secretly hated by a lot of the staff. But thanks for explaining the entire situation, Xkeeper. That has settled my thoughts.

Not at all. In fact, I actually planned to do something like that myself in my own hack, although on a much smaller scale. There would be foreshadowing to a later world in one level of another world, although the connection would be semi-coincidencal. If you care to know, the first level is going to be a salt-type level, and the world it references would be a desert.

Chocolate desert? Pretty interesting if you ask me. I can see a mental image of that world in my head. Quicksand chocolate pudding stands out in particular.

Speaking of seeing PMs you're not supposed to, about an hour and a half ago, the board spazzed out, and I saw someone else's PMs in the place of mine. I forgot their content, though, so it's not like I can blackmail anybody or anything.

Oh, and I still retain my position that not telling anybody about what's going on after information like this leaks out is more harmful overall than just flat-out explaining everything up front. Even if all the important information wasn't posted, it would still draw suspicions from many normal members.

How about...

15.) Don't post joke, false, and/or pointless guidelines unless you flat out tell your audience that it is a joke. You know...don't mislead anybody just for the point of making your hack stand out more.

16.) Keep all your questions in one topic. For example, if you ask how to insert ExGFX in your hack's topic, don't post another topic about it, as it'll lead to confusion on whether or not your problem has been resolved.

Hammer Bros. are very easy to fight if you have fireballs. Simply put, if the player gets to that level with a fire flower, it would be easy as pie. The easiest way to make a hard level is by using extremely difficult jumps. The easiest "fair" way to make a hard level in my opinion is with fire chains. But that might be going a little over the top. I mean, look at Mario Air. That spells "going over the top" in terms of difficulty.

When I saw the wrong PMs, I was still logged in as myself. I was surprised too, as the amount of PMs the user in question had was not far off from the number I had. He or she had 15, I have 10.
