Not bad for a first timer. Watch the floating stuff though (IE: The door in the fifth screenshot, the pirhanas in the fourth screenshot, the bushes in the third), it's quite annoying. Also in the third screenshot is this...
Watch out for pitfalls like that. (edited by asdf on 01-30-06 01:25 AM) |

Some bugs...
Turning animation is messed up.
If you duck jump up into here, you can get stuck.
Holes in the scenery. |

Old information. Also, when you do that, there is an invisible Bowser on the screen, which could lead to unexplained deaths. Best that you use ASM for that. ![]() |

Meh, most suicides nowadays on that site are pathetic. Mostly just censor bypassing and pathetic offensive material. I miss the good times when they usually contained hilarious offensive stories involving the mods and admins. ![]() |

I like White Chocolate, unlike some of you. On the other hand, I dislike dark chocolate. Too...how to say...spicy. So to speak. And those cinammon valentine hearts aren't THAT bad. They grow on you after some time. |

What?
Oh, and if you want to suicide, one of the best things to do is write an offensive story like I mentioned earlier. Those always get a lot of attention. It is also best that you post it on an active board, such as RI or something. There may be no such thing as an original suicide anymore, but there is such a thing as a good one. |

Nonono. Glitches like this one are ones that are hilarious. (If you don't know, it's an outtake from the Donkey Kong Country 3 speed run on Speed Demos Archive). ![]() (edited by asdf on 01-30-06 10:05 PM) |

| Awesomely bad. It takes a special type of bad to be this good. You forgot the bad ASM, the initial direct link to the ROM and the suicidal title screen, though. Fix those and you might have a geniunely good bad hack (oxymoron, I know, but I did that on purpose. Think Big Rigs).
EDIT: Crap, and the impossible difficulty. You mustn't forget the literally impossible (or laughably easy, whichever way you swing) difficulty! (edited by asdf on 01-30-06 10:51 PM) |

| Well, a quick check at Wikipedia reveals the whole story behind the Mega M&Ms.
"In the summer of 2005, Mars added "Mega M&M's" to the lineup. These candies are 55% larger than the traditional M&M's and are available in milk chocolate and peanut varieties. The colors were also changed to less-bright colors (teal, beige, maroon, gold, brown and blue-gray) to appeal more to adults." It makes no mention of the Shrek M&Ms, though. Although this might help those who are asking questions about them. ![]() |

You need the DivX codec, Alastor. It's the standard for all videos at SDA, including this outtake from that video. It can be found here. ![]() (edited by asdf on 01-30-06 10:59 PM) |

Seeing as how I cannot find it myself, can anyone assist me in finding the brown moving platforms' speed address? I'm speaking of Sprite 63. I would really appreciate any help I receive. ![]() |

Quite interesting, Colin. Would you care to explain how the ACS went from a simple curiosity into a full-fledged "contest" that has corrupted some minds in greater detail? The history of message boards is one thing that I always seem to enjoy reading about. ![]() |

Personally, I'm fine with Cherry Coke. Better than nothing, I suppose. I tried Lime Coke before, and found it to be all right. However, it just didn't have the same effect that Cherry and Vanilla had on me the first time I tried them. Not bad, though. I wouldn't mind trying it again sometime. |

Strange. Cherry Coke is still around where I live, despite my living in Canada. It must be because of French-Canadian's...how can I say this without being offensive...uhh...different tastes in...things.
(and by the way, Wurl was probably making another random sex joke or something) |

64 was brutal for me, seeing as how my knowledge in music, moreso audial clues, is somewhat limited. On Level 65 right now...which doesn't look much easier.
EDIT: I stand corrected. Level 66. EDIT 2: Level 67! (edited by asdf on 01-31-06 01:08 AM) (edited by asdf on 01-31-06 01:15 AM) |

| Actually, ROM Hacking in general is rather difficult without a good editor. It's very possible, but it is a lot slower. Really only a difference when there are multiple editors available for a game. EggVine is all you've got for hacking SMW2 though (and Squash probably isn't going to update it), so either live with it or don't bother with SMW2. (edited by asdf on 01-31-06 06:37 PM) |

| Old, although this site does a good job of putting all the best ones together. However, some are "ripped" from the Vin Diesel fact generator (IE: Top rated number nine). | |||

5th place. Heh. Not bad for starting late in the month (the 13th).
It's very likely that's he'll do that, Danelle. Although it somewhat contradicts what I said earlier, I do agree that Traps takes the ACS a little too seriously. I'll admit that my choice of words earlier was horrible, but that is what I meant to say in the first place. To rephrase, I personally can tolerate Trapster's spamming to some degree (due to his craving for posting and being in an awkward time zone for the board), but he still crosses the line. Yeah... Oh, and for Colin to beat Trapster, someone else has to beat Trapster too. Hyperhacker is in the best position to do that, but it doesn't matter who pulls it off. If that doesn't happen, Colin and Traps tie in the end. In the scenario that it does happen though, Traps will be pissed. ![]() |
