No, no, and I sleep with my door closed. Like I said, if you're worried about a big dog waking you up, you could just get a small one, and even train it some restraint.

Installing a doggy door, putting up a fence to keep the dog from roaming around, setting up some mechanism to keep other animals from getting in through it, and dealing with the heat loss through one of them isn't feasible or even possible for a lot of people (eg those who rent). In any case it's a hell of a lot more convenient to just pour some litter in a box and change it every few days.

Most houses come with fences already set up. The heat loss is a valid argument, but the localized problems (e.g. keeping other animals from getting in - that's usually more of a problem in rural areas or places near areas with animals) are no reason for those who aren't affected by such problems to get a cat. Besides, can your cat save you from drowning? It could in theory, but how hard would that be? And would it do so in the first place?

I have no idea what you're talking about...

That being the case, you've either been living in a cave or are a blasphemer. You know, this.

Why? All it takes is a little self-restraint to not spam for the ACS. And if you don't care for the ACS and post enough to make it there anyway, you shouldn't be worrying about losing your spot in the first place.

Indeed. REMEMBER - needing to reply quickly to game topics so you can get points before others is negated in how others can use it too. And screw those with 28.8K connections. We should not need to cater to those losers.

As I type this post from my PSP, I can say that the longer it takes to enter a post, the better it will be. Quickpost would lead to many impulsive posters and morons making worse posts. And that is never good.

Jesus christ Colin, how the hell did you get that much spyware with things that normally protect you from that kind of thing, like lololol?

On another note: I think Colin will be quite pleased at the number of posts today. Although personally, I think the bill has been pushed too far with that "Big Topics" business. It's a breeding ground for "ping-pong posting" (two users posting back and forth for a while, or one user posting after others whenever they post).

That sounds all right, except personyifing Windows Defender and saying it wants to be welcomed with open arms is just a little too creepy for my tastes. Seriously.

Every time you embed music in a thread, someone punches a very cute puppy.

So who is that wiseguy who punches cute puppies? Tell me. I'll kick his ass. Teach him not to punch puppies anymore.

Well I don't recall saying that. Could you post a link to a specific place where I said it? Because quotes can be easily falsified.

I agree with that. In fact, make them not count toward postcount either. If activity there dies off, we know for sure the real reason why those threads are so popular.

Happy birthday, Xeo and eight insignificant people. I only vaguely remember before you went away (and later returned). But at any rate, have a great day today.

It might work on other browsers, but I'm too lazy to check. It definetly doesn't work on Internet Explorer.

- Look at my stats if you don't quite understand, and do so in lololol if nothing looks out of the ordinary.

It'd probably be a bad idea Uly - what would happen to the user's posts and topics? Especially if said topic was active (e.g. Skydude and the town square thread). Then there is the aspect of users going on temporary leave. Even if there was a failsafe that prevented users with a lot of posts from being deleted, there still would be issues.

Anyhow, I agree with filtering out those who are inactive from the birthday list on the main page. However, include an option to see the full list, just in case someone is curious.

Don't be shy and/or evasive, now, Peardian. No one is going to kill you if you tell us what it is. I even have a good idea of what it is - some kind of game. I may be wrong, though. Fill me in if possible.
