So much wrong, so little time. First, you said you were stating fact. Wrong. Then you said in this post that it was now "opinion". Make up your mind please. Second, I respect all women, buddy. That's how it is. You disrespect some, and therefore I had something to say. I did not judge you in any way. That was your 3rd incorrect statement. I did not insult you. All stereotypes are idiotic. Therefore, transitive properties prove that your stereotype was idiotic. Now THAT'S an opinion most people share. I branded your post a failure, not you. I don't know you that well. I hope this clears up your certain confusion. Have a nice day

To address your first concern, I didn't mean it was an actual fact when I said it was a fact. It was a figure of speech. No need to take it too literally, now. To your second concern, in my opinion, you're being a little too chivalrous and gentlemanly there (no, seriously. ). You say you respect women, all women. Correct? All women means all women, regardless of what they did. So, I ask you: do you have respect for a female who is a murderer, such as Brynn Hartman? What about any other woman who does other criminal actions or actions you may see as being wrong, such as abortion or being a slut? Now, I'm not saying you are against abortion or that it's criminal or anything like that. I'm just asking you: when you say all women, do you mean all women? For your third concern, I'm apologize for that - I was confused by your wording. You also say all stereotypes are idiotic - but that still doesn't mean they can't have some truth to them. Of course, they don't apply to all members that supposedly fit that stereotype, but they can still apply to many. For example, it could considered a stereotype for an Ethiopian in his or her own country to be malnorished and poor. That doesn't mean they all do, however. As for most people sharing your opinion of all stereotypes being idiotic - you'd be surprised at all the racism that is still out there in the world today.

Maybe now you understand that making statements like yours is just the sort of thing that one of these pigs would say.

Hey, don't get me wrong. I'm not that kind of person. Thing is, the picture I'm getting of you so far is that you think all men should treat all women with deep respect, and take anything from a mere joke or hyperbole to extreme racism very seriously. Even though you probably are just going to tear at me again, you really need to pacify a little here. I cringed a little when reading that second sentence. What I'm getting there is that you are worried that if some geniunely bigoted people continue being sexist, it will cause lots of women to not trust men as much. And although I won't argue that that is a concern, I don't think that is is causing THAT much damage.

I said many. Your reply does not in any way adaquately argue against what I said, so I see no point. Yes, racism exists thanks to ignorance. As do a lot of stereotypes. Ignorance is not an enviable trait. You have no solid premise in your argument at all and it is invalid in every way. Stereotypes always start because a few of a certain group do a certain thing or are a certain way. Generalizing is still as incorrect anyway, and it doesn't justify stating something as fact when not all members of said group(s) do or are a certain thing.

Even though I'm probably going to get belittled again - I believe you are excluding some groups and countries from "many." There are traditions in some countries that are racist - and many people follow these traditions. Besides, a number people DO think that stereotypes are stupid, and there are some that think every last one of them is. I myself am not a fan of stereotypes either. I don't think a lot of people go to the level of extremity as you do, though. Is stereotyping wrong? Yes. Is it as wrong as you are working it up to be? Maybe. Maybe not.

Seriously, although it sounds fun, this is likely going to be boring at the beginning and so slow that people are going to lose interest quickly. I recommend that you find a way to speed things up a bit or something.

Thing is, not everyone is on the boards all the time or merely just at the same time as others, so some members could hold up deliberations for quite a while. It doesn't really matter how much time we must use - what matters is how much time we can use and how long it'll take to do so. Plus, the members of a team communicating amongst themselves could get awkward.

Well, funny story actually. I once tried to combine chocolate milk mix with warm urine and tried to drink it. I'll say just this - bad fucking idea. Looking back, I don't even remember what I was thinking when I did that, but I know one thing - I will never do such a thing again. I never have had any past, real-life relations with urine in lemonade, however.

Oh come on. We all* did stupid stuff as a kid. You probably did as well. I think I was around 6-7 years of age when I did that. It was a bit random to reveal it, I'll admit, but it took some nerve to do it. I'm not ashamed of it - I was young at the time.

For most people, it is better, as SMB1+SMB3 music has a lot more variety in it than just SMB3 alone - it replaces some of the more useless tracks from SMB3 with SMB1 ones, and the SMB2 underground music. Hacks with SMB3 music messing up at the bowser battle has to do with not fixing some offsets so the Bowser music plays at the second and third phases. This can be remedied, but I don't believe simply applying the SMB1 patch will fix it.

The only other major problem is that the starman theme is messed up with SMB1 music - but peter_ac managed to replace the messed up track with the one from SMB1. I don't know how he did it, though.

That's cool, Emptyeye, although I'm not sure if I understand what you're saying with that third phrase. You got what off, now? I'm guessing paid time, am I correct?

(On another note, the ATS thread sure has been dying a lot lately. We need to kick it back into gear somehow.)

Heh, l know exactly what you mean, Colin. I caught a cold about two weeks ago, and STILL have a bit of a runny nose. Luckily, when I get colds, the terribly sore throat only lasts about two days (although the coughing gets less extreme, it is still there for some time)

What did you expect, though? The police in Asian countries are corrupt like that. I know one guy on the internet who got into trouble in China and was able to pay off the cops and return to the US. I'll spare you the details - but I can tell you that what he did was somewhat justified.

1626: Francis Bacon, English philosopher, statesman, and essayist, died of possible pneumonia after purchasing a chicken and stuffing it with snow to see if cold could preserve meat. Pond Square in London is reputedly haunted by the chicken's ghost.

I might mention that that is personally one of my favorite ones on that list just for that last part.

I think the longest I've ever run my PC is slightly more a week, when scripting with an online game (a GUI-based menu clicking...type...one...). As of right now, however, I am unable to break this record, as my computer is restarting by itself semi-randomly due to a fault in the power supply or something. I'll spare you the details, but I've had such a problem before, and even spoke about it.

No, the reason why it worked before was because it was original, fresh, and Acmlmers were prone to making typos. Its revival worked for some time, but now it's just gotten old and boring. Indeed, board activity in general is declining right now
