Yes, that's what he did. He used the Missile enemy code. See, Mario is invisible, and that's what happens when fireworks show up. Just open up MWR and stick the original Bullet Bill code (108012009000E78F47E8) back into Sprite 1C's code box. That should fix everything. ![]() (edited by asdf on 01-23-06 06:41 PM) |

Hmm...probably so. Maybe it's just because my hack has a darker theme to it, or maybe it's just the mood that gets set in my hack. In particular, I use the Hammer Bros. theme as the main overworld theme for my second world, which is a burning forest. Perhaps SMB3 music simply has a wider array of options available for it, and SMW is typically one static mood. Shame though, because the best tracks in terms of use from SMW (Ghost House and Castle) really have no parallel among SMB3's tracks. ![]() |

Wow! If the real graphics were similar to the concept art, that hack would be incredible! I love how you used the orange sky and the blue foreground that nicely together. If this was a puzzle-based hack, my life would be one step closer to being complete. ![]() |

Sure, lots of times. After doing so, the following day is usually a slow one; one where I feel like I am constantly half-asleep - and somewhat lightheaded. I can still function, however. However, I have been unable to go more than one night without sleep. I usually don't do them anymore, either. The last time I pulled one was when I was hell-bent on watching a TV show that is on early in the morning. I didn't trust my body not to go back to sleep after I turn off my alarm clock. Maybe I should electrify it slightly or something. ![]() |

| Yes. It's used to save space or something. Anyhow, some people (most notably ghettoyouth and peter_ac) use Layer 1 tiles to make their title screen, placing Mario high atop a ledge off the screen. It's not a bad idea either, as doing so allows you to create a more vibrant title screen. | |||

| Might have a virus or something. There's also the possibility that a virus scanner is blocking it, as I recall someone having that problem before. Try right clicking on it, selecting properties, and seeing what's in there. That might help us solve the problem. | |||

| m16-7k is somewhat buggy. Don't use it unless you want your hack to become messed up to the point where ZSNES 1.42+ won't run it (1.36 works fine, for some reason, but it's hard to find). Oh, and are you sure you're following the instructions EXACTLY? Are you using a blank ExGFX file? Is it set in the level where you want to put it? | |||

| I'm not sure. I believe you have to enter the value of where you want the mapping to start in the "add value" section. For example, if you wanted it to start on Page 0x16, you would enter 1600. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what else to do. Just make a backup of your hack and experiment around, entering various logical values into the boxes (think before you enter them) until you find out what's going one. Otherwise, ask Ice Man. | ...the yellow version sprites? Not the Red/Blue version sprites?
But in any case, I chose Bulbasaur as my starter. This is because Venusaur is good in PvP. In the originals, it has the awesome Razor Leaf, which means guaranteed critcal hits. In the remakes, Venusaur has good stalling potential. Charizard has too many weaknesses and too few advantages. It lost all PvP value when the berries were fixed. Squirtle/Blastoise is a great choice and has good defense, but it is outclassed by other water types. Still, it's good in-game. |

| Yeah, Lava Cookie is around 400 cheaper than Full Heal. Also, Lemonade is twice as cheap than Super Potion, and it heals 30 more HP. Lava Cookies in FR/LG can be bought somewhere, but I forgot where. Paying the extra money isn't such a big deal that late into the game, anyhow. | |||

Welcome back, Sion. One thing I'm wondering, though. Why did you leave in the first place? And could you give us a detailed to semi-detailed summary of your adventures while you are away? It's been a while since I had a good read on the internet. ![]() |

| Yeah, I heard about this glitch before. No source of information has ever mentioned the details on it, though. Any of you wouldn't happen to know anything more about this rare glitch, would you?
Also, I believe that one of the quotes that one of the hidden characters in MK:II says when they are hinting about how to find them makes mention of Ermac as well. |

Well, Thoughtless, not everyone wants to watch something like that. Plus, posting on a message board is more productive than watching an animation of a cow, playing video games, or looking at porn.
And yes, Danielle, I get the joke. But jokes are more about the timing and the subliminality than the content, unless the joke is based off stereotypes, which is usually a no-no. |

Meh, I prefer tales from real life. Fiction; and especially fan-fiction for some reason beyond me; I just cannot seem to get into. I suppose it's because most of the stories I read on another forum I attend are from real life, and many are hilarious or just plain cool. Some have a serious mood, though. I suppose it's easier to make imagery with real-life stories for some reason; not even fiction based off of real life seems to work for me. But I'm rambling on right now. |

Oh, I see. I believe that Reptile also was like that, but of course, he was not a glitch and was normally accessable to battle. I only fought him once before and failed, but your description of Ermac is not unlike how Reptile behaved. If I remember correctly, he was also a lot faster than any normal character. That is probably the case with Ermac, too. ![]() (edited by asdf on 01-24-06 12:03 AM) |

Heh, that reminds me, Alastor. I remember someone who stayed up that long partying before. He started freaking out, seeing things around the end of the second day into it. And according to him that was "before they got out the drugs." Crazy guy. After that, he said something about eventually falling asleep during sex. I somehow doubt that, though. ![]() (edited by asdf on 01-24-06 12:01 AM) (edited by asdf on 01-24-06 12:01 AM) |

If you're looking for good hacks, I would recommend all of Anikiti's hacks, Rob-omb's Quest by videogamerpat, Link2006's hacks, KT's hacks and Golden Yoshi's hacks. The Second Reality Project and Ghettoyouth's Panic in the Mushroom Kingdom are also good bets. ![]() |

Originally posted by Alpha Axl You don't need all of those. You can set up the tiles yourself through Lunar Magic's 16x16 Tile Map editor. This is especially the case when you are using a lot of files from the workshop. Of course, you can and should use the provided tile pages if what you're setting up is big with everything being an important factor (IE: my SMB3 1-5 background). But if that is not the case, you should make them yourself, especially in the case of those huge tilesets with much more than you will probably need. Otherwise, you'd run out of room quickly. |
