Uly, first off, think of how the Gordon fans feel. He has never gotten passed the first round in a contest. Ever. Phoenix is new to the contest, and will get his chance next year. Second, mrdictionary Objection is lame and got old months ago.

Another thing which I'm not sure about how old it is: I believe the Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin soundtrack was leaked some time ago. The company managed to get it under control, but I'm sure there are still copies floating around private sites and people's hard drives. I don't know why other companies don't go other of the way to do something similar, or at least find out who does those kinds of things. Not that I'm complaining about the leaks, of course.

Frank Hayes, jockey, suffered a heart attack during a horse race. The horse, Sweet Kiss, went on to finish first, making Hayes the only deceased jockey to win a race.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unusual_deaths. As the title suggests, it's a list of unusual ends people have met. Some of the deaths listed there are just ridiculous, some unbelievable, others just hilarious (or scary) to invision. Here's another such one. A 25-year-old Dutch woman studying in Paris, Renée Hartevelt, was killed and eaten by a classmate, Issei Sagawa, when he invited her to dinner for a literary conversation. The killer was declared unfit to stand trial and extradited back to Japan, where he was released from custody within fifteen months. |

The best way to deal with it is to ignore it. Personality patterns and your word against his (especially if you're calm about it) will suffice to protect yourself from random accusations of things you did not do. If anything, change your aliases and ignore it, as if nothing happened. Unless he's really out to get you, odds are he'll pay no attention or think he's won and move on (you may change back at a later point if needed). In reality, all you'll have done is a small change, which you may explain to those you trust and those who ask, when he's wasted time trying to ruin your rep, all for nil in the end. Besides, there are probably other Nebetsus out there. Don't worry about people stealing your alias - much less trademarking an alias. (edited by asdf on 10-03-06 09:49 PM) |

Bowser is in his clown car, yet he doesn't get that until Super Mario World. And the ground is from Super Mario Bros, yet it's Stupid Mario Bros. 3. That's brilliant! A++++++++++ would buy from again.
Oh, and I always find it sad when a good program goes shareware. Such a waste. Fuck shareware. And I feel your pain when you say you had difficulty finding it - I've been caught up in similar chases before |

Well, that's still no reason to get caught in a loop about it. Some may have had the same idea as you. But in this case, you did probably piss some guy off (somehow), or someone decided to randomly be a dick. Like I said, let it go, and if anyone complains about your alleged doings on another website, explain the situation to him or her. Don't worry about it, they'll understand.

Originally posted by KamekOriginally posted by asdfOriginally posted by Kamek Actually, to be frank, I've always thought of this topic as more of a novelty, sort of like a second ATS thread, minus the fixed ridiculous errors. And I might add that transitioning into words when you accidently slip up (i did it with "ridiculous" in this post) is sometimes a verry useful effect. |

I had a similar dream as Tarale did before. All it was was the "off the air" screen on most stations in North America, it even had the noise and everything. I wasn't afraid of it, however, just mostly confused. I believe it was after one of my first times seeing that screen, too.
I believe the reason why the blue screen of death can be so scary is the suddeness of them and the sometimes intimidating warnings it shows. Indeed, white text on blue is beaten out only by red text on black (or vice versa) in terms of scariness. |

I've heard a lot about this game, but I never actually found out what it was about. Now that I know, this sounds very interesting. I might consider picking it up now that I know what it's about - in fact, I even remember a game with a similar concept of drawing things to use to your adventage, but I forget what it was called.

Oh, and something I forgot - there's the problem of getting the trademark to go through. |

Originally posted by TaraleOriginally posted by Metal Knuckles Yeah. The dreaded noise issue. And the issue of gas, breakdowns, terrain, safety, even traffic jams during higher-level invasions. Thusforth, vehicles aren't necessarily the best way to flee an invasion. Sedans usually get obstructed by bad terrain, and not all SUVs are equipped to travel over bad terrain - then there's the gas issue. Motorcycles are ideal if you don't need anything else, but a bicycle would give the best of both worlds - little noise and speed. Just wear safety gear, don't crash, and choose caution over speed... Armored cars are a good defensive vehicle. Here's what the ZSG says on vehicles in general. That doesn't necessarily mean they are useless, however. A certain zombie hunting technique incorporates vehicles into the strategy for a very effective way of killing the undead. (edited by asdf on 10-04-06 12:06 AM) |
