Yeah. Although on the bright side - I do remember some heavy shit going down where I was spending my free time online that day. I forgot exactly what it was though, but it was pretty dramatic and split that board apart with drama for 2-3 hours. Or maybe I was just playing some games. I don't know.

Some of my comments...

1) Good in concept, difficult to implement.

2) This could work, although something similar is probably in the works (EDIT: oh wait, you're the same guy. ), and due to the comic being unfinished, it would be rather difficult to do what he hasn't done while still sticking to the comic's style. Oh, and obligatory link to said comic.

3) Probably the best choice, if you can pull it off graphics-wise.

The best choice of all though, would to just make a normal, ordinary, good, interesting hack. Nothing special, and it's manageable.

And before you ask: a general tip when searching for ROMs on Google: "[name of game]" ROMs. Just like that, everything in italics, quotes and all. It shouldn't be too hard to find a ROM at that point; if you still cannot find one, too bad. On another note, you cannot ask for ROMs directly.

Check out your favorite torrent website for the lowdown on this. It's a prerelease, and it runs slowly (mostly as a result of other issues), but is apparantly fully functional. At any rate, wow. Just. Wow. Some big name games and other things related have been getting leaked lately; first Pokemon Diamond and Pearl two days before their release, and now this. For some reason it seems a lot of things have been getting leaked lately.

Why do companies allow this to happen, anyhow? And just who does this sort of thing?

I'm fairly sure you need the National Dex in FR and LG, thanks to their adding Wobbuffet to the Pokemon inside. But yeah.

On another note, all these "promotional pokemon" are starting to piss me off. It's the one thing (besides the incessive need for gimmicks) that makes me dislike Nintendo. Not only are they very regional oriented, but once those stop, you're screwed. I personally try to find a way to cheat all those bastards into my game.

1. All right, I suppose. You should fix that weirdness with the lower platform though - that black line looks odd.
2. Somewhat bland, but it's good otherwise.
3. The brown pillars look strange. The background clashes with the foreground (it looks like it is part of the foreground).
4 and 5. Not exactly the best choice in graphics for the block, but...
6. Excellent. The yellow bricks stick out in a bad way, however. And the bottom left corner of the pillars' being white is strange-looking.

This hack is looking nice so far. I enjoyed the first The Castle, and will probably enjoy this one too.

The only real reason why I played 2-Player in the other game was because it was basically an alternate path, giving the hack a bit of replay value to it. I don't think anyone used or would ever use it for what you intended it to be used as.

I think they'd be considered Reznor fireballs: Jumping Pirhana Plant fireballs are two in number and are shot in an arc. Reznor fireballs home in on Mario's general location.

To make a new powerup, the difficulty would be 1-7 if you're just modifying an existing one, a full 10 if you were rewriting the powerup system to include new ones so you can have more than three. It's not as easy as just writing the code and the sprite.
