What is the meaning of this treachery and the death of the board.acmlm.org address? Does it have anything to do with the rampaging spambots? Or did something else happen, or what?

So this is what happens when someone tries to post when they're extremely, extremely groggy. It probably would've been a good idea to use a more...how to say...attention getting alarm. I recall one guy using this as an alarm, on loop, loud. Although if it failed, people in your the vicinity of you would HATE you for it.

I guess you could say that, but I was thinking something more along the lines of a replacement for the meat rather than the cheese. But seriously, I'm postive they could do something to burritos that would make her never want to touch one, much less eat one ever again.

Congratulations on your staying at this message board for five years, Tarale.

Colin, if we had a happy hour for every significant person, that would just be stupid. So there is no need to worry about anything bad happening.

The problem with "Anni____" lies in the problems it would cause with users with names like "Great Chicken". And "anni____" just doesn't have the same ring to it as "___versary," although both terms are silly.

I believe that is because Skype doesn't allow usernames with that. Just about any other illegal character can kill it as well, such as $, / or ☻. It's to be expected, though.

It's paranoia, Xkeeper. People do weird things and act very strangely when they are paranoid. Any timer on the boards is assumed to be one that will destroy the boards when it hits zero. This is also known as Rule 59b.

It'd be funny to fake them out though - destroy the boards, start it up again, then shut down the new one only to bring back the old one with improvements made to it - or nothing at all.

Sonicandtails also added a noise. And last I checked, screwing with pages by embedding music into them is FORBIDDEN.

And yes, there have been doom timers that made the board go crazy, but there has only been one real doom timer. The rest were all a countdown to something else, but people went crazy anyhow.

That could be considered an insult to things that are dumb. That's how much this sucks.

On another note, I love how people who "find" conspiracies try too hard. I remember once creating a parody of that one 9/11 parody involving Mario and the number five. No clear conclusion was reached, but it had a wide array of ridiculous facts, some meaningless, some random, and others that clearly show the "trying too hard" factor (although most of them just pertain to the number five, such as five letters in a name, or five special coins).

It's quotes like this that make me giggle. Anitiki used nipper plants and Goombas (not just graphically altered Koopas) long before Sprite Tool was released. Although one of the quotes on SMW Central on the hack about using "real custom sprites" is even worse.

The one thing I don't like about Anitiki's hacks are that they are more or less more of the same each time. There are variations of course, and with the number of hacks he's made, there are bound to be recurring world themes and other minor things. But things like Bramble levels and (especially) bridges that suddenly break below you are very common within his hacks. Still, the hacks are of high quality, so it is possible to look the other way.

You have excellent taste in free games and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

In other news, I'm OK, a game based off Jack Thompson's "A Modest Video Game Proposal". Despite the fact that it didn't meet the exact qualifications nor get Wacko Jacko to donate to charity, it's still pretty fun. It's worth playing it just for the best damn implementation of DDR as a boss ever.

Hmm? I like that effect. Makes it seem a letter more realistic in my opinion, plus it being a jpg gives it more of a texture. This version is nice, but it's just a bit too bright in my opinion.

Because IRC is too addicting. See, what you need to do, for one day, is ban everyone from the IRC channel, just to see if it helps activity. It wouldn't hurt.

I never realized they were supposed to be those colored balls from playpens until I played the Genesis version.

KAMA-KAMA-KAMA-KAZE!!! DIE CRAB, DIE!!!!

Fuck mammals. I play bird to the end of the game. Also, see some of the failure of the version of ZSNES I was playing it with.

Finally, a linked game + the Expert's Ring equals this.

I noticed you have only been updating around afternoon EST (usually around 1PM). It's kind of unfair to those who are in school around that time (especially PSTers such as myself).

That being said, KEGEL.

I'm also with KATW on this one. Although because it isn't like that in the topics, it's not as bad as on some other boards. On some of those, that "number trimming" happens everywhere, even in topics. There really should be a feature to turn it off, though.

Personally, I believe the best bet would be a meetup for users in a specific area (ideally a big city where many users live) would be the best bet. It doesn't have to be accessable to everybody. In fact, given how many people here are young and lower-middle class, trying to make it so that it is accessable to nearly anybody would be more trouble than it's worth, and even if by some stroke of luck we can figure something out, the odds of it working (factors such as parents or real life would get in the way of many) are slim and none.

So yeah. Just hold meetups in big cities (where there are bound to be many users who live there to begin with), and the users in nearby ones (or even faraway ones) can get over there and join if they wish. Make sure you have something to do, like watching a movie, minigolf or something.
