It doesn't look half-bad, BOBTHEVILA. It's a little screwy in some places, such as the cliff tiles. It should look something like this for the best effect.

In a hex editor, change address 080C5 to 00. That'll make it so that the fireballs have no Y-Speed, and thus, they don't move downward, thus, going straight. That should do the trick.  |

| You're obviously doing something wrong. Are you saving? Seriously, are you saving the ROM in Translhextion? Because that value SHOULD be working. If that's not the case, you may be using older savestates that have a fire flower already activated. Reload the game without a savestate (from the menu), get a fire flower from a level, and see if it works. | |||

| At the risk of sounding offensive to your superiority, this seems more like stupidity paranoia than idiot defense. It is a good idea however. The only thing I dread in this is potential collateral damage, if you will. Some users who are smart but lacking self-confidence might be scared off due to the circumstances. Or maybe there are people who seem idiotic on the outside (due to their typing skills, for example), but are talented on the inside. Most importantly, this system doesn't seem very friendly towards new people who are idiots when they join but are willing to learn and not become idiots. It just doesn't give them a chance. | If you think those lyrics are disturbing, you obviously haven't listened to very many songs. Oingo Boingo's "Little Girls" is much more disturbing, especially when you hear the actualy song. And pretty much anything from Anal Cunt is even worse.
As for incorrect or messed up lyrics, that's very, very common. For example, I've seen many sites with the lyrics to the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" theme song that spell Philadelphia wrong, and a few sites that spell it horribly wrong (starting with an F!). |

| I went and checked. It does use Kalleria, but I personally never found it annoying. That may be because it may have been a different version than what you're thinking of. It has a good interface that anyone with enough brain cells can navigate, although chat can cause lag (but there are ways around that, like an AIM chat). Like I said though, the upside is that it supports the new romsets. Most people play with the old ones for some reason, which are very difficult to find these days.
Speaking of which, a funny chat log occured once when we were setting up for a Sunset Riders game. Someone not in the chat (but part of our group) joined at about the same time as four of us were starting up. So we had five people, a no-no. We had to decide who to get rid of...it went something like this. (discussion about there being five people) User 1: I guess we'll have to do this the old fashioned way. User 1: 1 User 1: 2 User 1: 3 User 1: NOT IT User 2: NOT IT User 3: NOT IT User 2: XD Me: XFD User 3: XD Me: Not it. User 1: Well, I guess [User 4] gets the boot. |
